Mucha suerte con la inauguración. Volveré porque hoy la comida no estaba muy buena. El plato de pollo era soso y sin sabor.

I'm not sure what to call this shop. They serve Mexican, Salvadorian, Dominican and Peruvian food…read morefor breakfast and lunch. I came here during the week and only 2 employees were here. I ordered the Huevos a la Mexicana, 3 bean and cheese pupusas and my brother ordered the Dominican. Food came out in 10 minutes or less and it was hot! Our server was really nice too! Food was delicious!! The best thing we ate was the bean and cheese pupusas and the Peruvian juice. The huevos a la Mexicana was just okay. Beans needed more flavor and eggs needed seasonings. The meal came with avocado but they didnt tell us they'd charge us for it. I gave this place 4 stars because checking out was so confusing. Some items were missing from our check and it seemed like they overcharged us. I think next time they should write everything the customers ordered down in detail so this doenst happen to anyone else because we went back and forth with the cashier and we both were confused. Also if you add additional items to the meal, even if they ask you if you want it always assume that they will charge you for it because that's what they did to us. Overall I may come back if I'm ever in the neighborhood.

Tho is a very small, no frills place and when I walked in the owner/chef was there and we discussed what I could eat. I settled on Huevos Rancheros but also added an order of Pupasas (frijole on queso). To wash it down I had a Guava Jarritos. This place is cash only so bring money as I didn't see a nearby ATM. Delicious .... Simply delicious. While eggs are pretty simple the salsa and the rice are homemade. The rice was very good and is often taken for granted. The Pupasas were being made fresh so I'll have to review them at home. So I decided to take them to go along with a couple of Jarritos. Highly recommend this place if you want authentic Latino

The mofongo with shrimp was incredible -- perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, soft inside,…read moreand packed with garlic flavor. The shrimp were juicy, fresh, and cooked just right. Every bite tasted homemade and authentic. Definitely one of the best mofongo dishes I've had. The portion size was generous, and the sauce tied everything together perfectly without overpowering the dish. You can tell real care went into the preparation and presentation. I'd absolutely come back for this again and recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Puerto Rican food.

Vibe was off as soon as we walked in but decided to give it a go anyway. Btw around 6pm on a Friday. Only one server who seemed new and was doing everything by herself. We then decided to order and the first she said was "oh we are out of this and we are out of that." Flag! Not busy at all as a matter of fact only a couple of people inside and 2 at the bar. Then when I ordered pollo guisado she said "oh I'm sorry we are out of that too.." I said ok bistec then and my brother ordered the same with the rice n beans and a side order of tostones.. everything was bland rice, beans, and especially the bistec. No flavor whatsoever. And the Bistec although bland tasted like it was old and had a weird taste to it. My brother agreed. Simply horrible! The only 2 things that were good was the tostones and the parcha juice! That was it definitely NOT worth the money at all. If you go again expecting how it used to be well prepare to be disappointed to say the least. You will see. Sad.

We started a lunch club at work with a few coworkers...mission: to have some fun and try new…read morerestaurants. I have been craving Spanish food for the longest time!! So I was pleased when we had our first lunch at Negrita's today. A little hole in the wall place in New Britain, you can barely see the restaurant name past the huge tree in front of the restaurant. Waking inside, you get the strong feeling that the space used to be occupied by a Subway...same booths and layout. Seating is limited and booths only hold two people so if you're with a group, prepare to split up or take your food elsewhere to eat. Nothing is labeled and there are no menus, just a menu board up on the wall. I was not very adventurous on my first trip, but ordered yellow rice and beans with 1/4 rotisserie chicken. I also ordered one of those fried mashed potato balls with meat inside. No idea what it's called but I've always loved them. Another coworker also ordered the chicken, one got spare ribs, and one just got rice, beans and plantains. I really wish I had gotten some plantains!!!! My food was reasonable at $8.95 for the meal, the mashed potato ball and a bottle of water. I definitely have enough leftover for another meal. The chicken was moist inside but the skin was crispy. Perfect! The yellow rice and beans were fabulous. It's a perfect spot for a quick lunch because you don't have to wait long. I will definitely be back to try some of the other meats and the bacalaitos...curious to see how they compare to my Italian grandmother's codfish fritters that she makes every Christmas!!

I REALLY wanted some Dominican food this evening! I looked around on my way back from Newport RI,…read moreback to MA, and this place was open and it had decent ratings. When I arrived, there was a very sweet older lady at the counter who greeted me. I knew I wanted to get food to go so I was kind of in a rush due to being tired from the ride. I ordered chicken breast, yellow rice with beans and sweet plantains. The woman (the hunger in me did not allow me to ask what her name was) took my order and said that the chicken and plantains would take a few minutes because they had to be cooked. Which was ok with me; I did desire fresh food. The food was cooked in no time. The woman was so sweet because she didn't charge me extra when I changed my white rice to yellow rice - I did leave a nice tip though. Fast forward to when I got home to eat: the food was FREAKING AMAZING! And, it was plentiful! Enough for leftovers for tomorrow! If I could give 10 stars, I would have! It was probably some of the best Dominican food I'd ever had! I will be back! The physical place itself is basically no-frills but the food makes up for all of that! 5 stars!
