There are a lot of kids of all sizes, so be patient if they come to your lane or don't know bowling etiquette. This is a family kids friendly place. The shoes are Velcro and wide, so they were loose on me and the Velcro would always come undone. There are cubbies underneath the seats to put your shoes under. Our waiter was great and we had ordered alcoholic drinks and pizzas. The cauliflower crust don't come in large, so we got small individual size to share. The hot honey flatbread is like the size of 2 small individual pizzas. Pizza and the fries were decently good. Also had the chicken nachos, which I wouldn't recommend to get. The sauce was pretty salty and the diced chicken weren't that great. Place has arcade, rope course, laser tag, pool tables, and more. Lots of birthday parties being held so lots and lots of kids.

I had to do a lot of research prior to understand what I could eat. The server was knowledgeable. I informed him I was celiac/gluten free. He indicated they have a dedicated fryer for fries so we were able to share them. We also ordered a couple cauliflower pizzas. For drinks, I ordered a peach sangria and frozen strawberry margarita. The plentiful and delicious brunch buffet goes for a very reasonable $35 per adult, $15 for kids 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under. Throw in a photo session with Santa and Mrs Claus and it's a fun holiday deal that can't be beat. This particular Santa was the most fun and gregarious Santa I have ever encountered also. After the photos, he spent some quality chat time with the kids he encountered. The food and food layout and seating layout here were great and it's a much better setup here than at the overly spread out Oakbrook location. I particularly enjoyed their prime rib, smoked salmon, and waffles with home-made whipped cream. Our server was prompt and attentive despite how busy it was. FYI - Pinstripes had some financial difficulty and was recently bought out by an outfit called Punch Bowl Social. Though there are a few options out there for multi-experience venue's, I was pretty impressed with my first visit to Bowlero. Upon entering, we quickly got set up with shoes and a lane for the evening's bowling festivities. We were a group of 6 for a work event. Some call it "team building". I call it getting out and having some drinks, food and fun. I guess their both correct, but my sounds more awesomer. (--- It's a word!) As we waited for the rest of our group to arrive, we walked over to the bar and ordered a couple of drinks. Easy enough. Once we were all there, we saddled up with some sweet clown shoes, grabbed our balls tightly and let it fly! We played 2 games in total. With 6 people, that took roughly 90 minutes or so. There is a very handy touch screen POS system at each lane. We were able to order food and drinks throughout our games. There was one downside to the POS for ordering. Unless we were doing it incorrectly, we needed to order and invoice each individual order. By the end of the night, we had about 5 individual receipts to tally up for expenses. I'm not certain if there is a way to keep a card or tab open, but we did not readily figure out how. We did have chicken nachos and wings (ordered traditional, got boneless). Both were as good as expected. Would I go back? Totally. Whether you're going as a couple or larger group, Bowlero has a lot to offer. They did have a variety of video games as well, however we didn't venture over there. Friends, work or family, you're guaranteed to have a good time at Bowlero. And if you don't, well, I have a feeling that it's you and not Bowlero.

Then we started bowling and not one single server had come to our table to ask us how is it going or if we needed anything. Also, on a Friday night there shouldn't be one bartender . I went to get a refill on a Sprite and it took 10 minutes. I just wanted to walk behind the bar and make it myself. I do not recommend this place for bowling as it's VERY expensive and no one wants to help you out and makes you wait for everything .

About 15 minutes later, he returned with a refund receipt, saying it was the best he could do. I understand they were extremely busy, but this isn't the way to operate an establishment. You prepay for your food, seat yourself, and then servers wander around aimlessly checking table receipts with no real system or direction. They're clearly in need of table tracker devices or better organization. The bathrooms were clean. The only thing that kept this from being an even harsher review was Mathew, who was genuinely kind and tried to help. Without him, my experience would have been much worse.

I was skeptical but honestly, because of Pinstripes, this may have been the best work party I've been to. I didn't see a lot of the place because I didn't visit the bar upstairs, and we were downstairs for our meeting-party. The meeting room is quite large and accommodated our group of 50 or so people easily. The food was really good too; we had some chicken, Mac and cheese, ribs, and more. The sliders weren't my favorite because they were really pink inside, so I skipped that. The other stuff I had was quite delicious. But the best part was the games. I mean I'm a board game enthusiast but have never played bocce and now I am wondering why not. It was so much fun. I mean I'm ready to buy a lawn set, or join a bocce league or whatever. The rules are simple but it's fun. They also have a really gorgeous patio area that another group was apparently going to be using, and that space is along the riverfront. I would be super glad if we came back to Pinstripes, to the extent that I'm going to make sure our VP knows how much we enjoyed it. There's no dedicated parking so you'll need to take a taxi or find a spot in a nearby lot. Spothero was great for that, since my spot was cheaper than the validated parking that Pinstripes offers.

We had the 2 kiddos in tow for a Wednesday and learned that arcade games at Bowlero are 1/2 priced…read moreon Wednesdays.  Yaay for the lucky kiddos!  Anyway, I also found that the various Bowlero's in our vicinity have different hours on Wednesday, I guess due to local business demand.  This Bowlero opens 1pm-11pm on Wednesday, whereas the Bowlero Mount Prospect opens 2pm-11pm and the Bowlero Niles opens 4:30pm-11pm.  So we trekked up here as the earlier the better it was for us on this hot summer day.   Brian and Chris were the fine and helpful pair of staffers on duty and Brian explained the arcade workings for us as we've never been in a Bowlero (though the kiddos have) - checking the kiddo's card balances, the value of the games, showing us the remaining balance display, unjamming a machine when needed, etc. We had the arcade area to ourselves and the kiddos had an energetic blast for about an hour.  We loaded on $10 for each of them and they also each had about $8 on their existing cards.   So it seemed they spent about $36 in an hour and that seemed a bit expensive to me, especially for a 1/2 price Wednesday.  They did earn some trinklets with their ticket winnings though and these are dispensed from a self-service Prize Hub machine.  For what it's worth I remember getting an hour's worth of arcade entertainment for the 2 at Chuck 'N Cheese for $20, and we now have a basis for comparison anyway.  One of the kiddos said the arcade here is bigger than the one at Niles, and we also heard separately that the Buffalo Grove arcade is quite large also. As far as bowling here goes, they have 40 nice and shiny lanes. Weekday games are $6 and weekend games are $10.  Shoe rental is $6.  I don't see us bowling at a Bowlero but it could fit your family's interest or needs.  I'll go with 3 stars as Bowlero seemed about an average value from this experience, but the kiddos had a grand time in any event.

I called and they said come in and we will take care of it. When we got there and asked about it the cashier just said "no" and couldn't care less when I said I had called ahead. Then when trying to use the kiosk to buy arcade credits I couldn't get the machine to work, despite a worker walking by several times seeing me trying to use the machine, when I finally flagged him down he was like "oh yeah it's not working come to the desk." Ok maybe put a sign on the machine or when you see me trying to use it let me know!? Really poor customer service!

The only thing that was positive about the experience was the food. Pizza had a lot of sausage, fried pickles were really good. I understand not everyone is friendly however we were all very uncomfortable and felt unwelcome. Maybe if you are a pro player, they will treat you better.
