Only 1 waitress today on a Saturday afternoon during dim sum. Man in front just sits there on his phone seating people but does not bother to help otherwise. Maybe my 3rd time here and each time it has gone down unfortunately. Today will be the last for a long time. While filled with Asian people would give a hopeful sign I think it is just convenient location without having to go to broward county but does not come close to the taste and quality down there. Today I had enough. I wanted some beef congee and have had before here. It was yum. This time they changed the recipe. They are using FAKE beef... soy product it seems. Used to be slices of beef. Unbelievably disappointing! Like really??? That's how you are skimping and saving money? One worker for the entire restaurant on a Saturday and replacing fake beef when you can get away with it??? My girlfriend and I had not been there in 3.5 years, and was told after we had dinner that there was new owners..The special soup was good, the boneless pork was pieces not slices, but tasty with sweet candy sauce. The Steak Kew was the worst I ever had. it was tough and well done. it was not filet but some other low standard NON-USDA garbage. I asked the manager to to take off the bill and he said" since we ate part of it, and we finished our dining, he could not. I boxed it up and would feed it to stray dogs. I would never go back there again, and afraid what type of meat they are serving. I might ask the DEPT OF HEALTH to check them out. The service was horrible, waited over an hour for the main course to be served and it came cold and looked someone to correct it. Finally a waiter came over and said he will fix it. Brought in the kitchen and a few minutes later brought back and it just slightly warmer. Never offered to replace the cold rice. The place was also very noisy. Paid for the soup and left. We have been to this restaurant many times and have enjoyed it almost every time. However on Christmas Eve they really messed up and totally mismanaged their reservations, disappointing many regular customers who were forced to wait an hour or more to be seated and another hour after that to get served. read more

A big menu to choose from, wonderfully savory food, and prompt service. We tried nine different dishes, and while I have had similar menu items at other Dim Sum restaurants, these seemed a significant cut above. My personal favorites were the sticky rice in lotus leaves with chicken, and the salted egg yolk lava buns. We also had one of the entrees, shredded chicken with double-fried pan noodles. Great food, good service, reasonable prices. I tried the dim sum and shrimp in lobster sauce. They were very tasty. Wife had the cashew chicken and said it was very good. The $13.95 we paid for lunch was a lot better than fast food or chain restaurants which charge the same or more. Plan on going back many times in the future. read more

Twelve of us had a horrendous experience at this restaurant, the former Shanghai City, on Christmas Day. They had taken our reservation for 12 although they no longer have tables for 12. After jamming us into two tables, we found an overpriced, very limited holiday menu where the entrées included no soup, no egg rolls, not even tea, as well as a $10 sharing charge. Some of us paid an extra five dollars for soup, which was lukewarm and basically tasteless. They would not bring us crispy noodles for the soup, as they said they were not serving any noodles because it was a holiday! There was only one bottle of soy sauce on this big table, no other condiments. When we asked for hot mustard, they brought one little dish . When we requested tea, they brought two pitchers with one teabag in each, the tea was like dishwater. We actually sent back the tea so they could put another teabag in it. What Chinese restaurant doesn't know how to make tea? After a long wait the entrées sporadically appeared, and none of them were hot. They were lukewarm at best. Everybody sent their entrées back at least once, and they never came back truly hot. Our beef and broccoli entrée was extremely salty and lukewarm. Our chicken entrée was taken to be heated up and it never reappeared. We were never given rice at all. At that point my husband and I gave up on dinner entirely. The rest of our party ate their mediocre, lukewarm food but nobody was happy. At the end of the meal, a waiter came out with bags of crispy noodles and threw them on the table. We saw other tables with fortune cookies, but we were not offered any. No dessert was included. The staff was completely disorganized, yelling at each other in Chinese and having meetings by the kitchen door. And the restaurant was not even very crowded, with empty tables. The whole experience was very unpleasant and I nobody in our large party will return. read more

Returned for regular menu. Egg roll is worst we've had, even frozen ones from Trader Joe's and the like are better. The entrees and rice are all bland and full of corn starch. Wild that this place is busy. Will only consider returning for dim sum. read more

Went for dinner on Christmas Eve with a group of 20 people. The food was very good. We went back for lunch the following week and ordered the same two dishes and they were awful. We also had a shu Mai and a stuffed bean curd skin that were ok. I can't recommend it. read more

We had a seafood medley. This included most likely tilapia which we had two ways and it was tasty but a bit too salty. The portion was very generous. Another had Salmon which was a large portion also cooked nicely a bit overdone with broccoli around the edges and spinach underneath. Also pretty good dish. The shrimp was also ordered and liked. we also had the sesame noodles which were decent, but nothing to write home about. We also had four different soups, all of which were seasoned well not too salty, Nice. The table came with a large basket of fried noodles. it was a little too generous and made my wife think that it was recycled, though I have no evidence of this. Probably could improve cos media since interior is old and not shiny like their new beautiful waitress uniforms. The clientele is mostly your typical Boca crowd, older just like our group. The noise level in this busy restaurant on a Wednesday night was a bit too much and mitigation of that problem would be nice. I will be back. most probably the worst Chinese restaurant I and my friends have ever eaten at. we got there early before 530 to be seated for the dinner specials and at that time its cash only. we were also only the second party seated so we were first group to order. we all placed our order and then it started to go bad.they brought us our soup which came with the meal and then we waited ... and waited and waited. thirty minutes later the food came. my friend ordered the shrimp and lobster sauce which presented like a bowl of thin watery slop. I looked at it with shock as it was unidentifiable. my girlfriend ordered the chicken in a ginger sauce with green beans, when placed in front of her it was thin white strips of something that looked like an animal that was not chicken and it wasn't even cooked so she sent it back to be cooked again. when brought back to the table the sauce had solidified and had so much corn starch in it that her fork stood straight up in the dish all by itself. she took one mouthful and that was it she was done for the night. as everyone was complaining management could seem to care less. these tasteless dishes were amongst the worst I have ever eaten and laid my eyes upon. dessert came with the meal and of course they were out of ice cream even as early as 630pm. so they brought us wilted watery pineapple plastic toothpicks and fortune cookies which I wouldn't dare to open. I don't know how people even go to this place but obviously they know nothing about Chinese food because it was quite busy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !!,, I could go on but I won't just heed my warnings and more importartly save your money and go elsewhere . read more
