Lunch rush was busy since this is the only restaurant in the area that's within walking distance Limited seating. 6 regular tables for 4 people, about 9 seats at the counter/ bar area. As far as the high tops are concerned there's 3 that could seat 2 comfortably but had seat for 4 people which is rather cramped plus 2 high tops for 2 in corners of the restaurant. It took me about 15 minutes to get there and by the time I got there and looked for street parking a few blocks away, my order was all ready for me. The burger was a good size. The meat was thick and juicy. I ordered a specialty burger that had peanut butter, which was unique and had a good sweet and salty contrast. Similarly, the cheese curds came with a spicy strawberry dipping sauce and I also got ranch with it. The curds were nice crispy. Overall a great takeout experience! It came with cole slaw, cornbread and one of their side dishes. I chose the Smokehouse Beans and it took about 10 minutes for the meal to arrive. While I waited I checked out the 4 sauces that were on the table and liked the KC mild the best. When the food arrived I noticed the large 1/2 chicken and the sides. The chicken was juicy and delicious with a smokey flavor. Paired with the KC mild sauce, it was yummy (4). Yes, their chicken is very good but it was the side dishes that really impressed me. The beans were rich in flavor and savory. Perfect (5). The cole slaw was creamy and smooth tasting making an excellent palate cleanser (5). The cornbread was soft and warm with that original cornmeal aroma (5). And finally, I ate the 2 pickle slices added on the plate. Fresh tasting with a firm texture and perfect flavor (5). The table service by Maxie was friendly and efficient. I wish I could have had one more meal here to test other menu items before giving this score. My experience has found that many bar b q restaurants prepare very good meats but it's their side dishes that make some of them stand out.
