Two brothers with my cousins. So, let me get into it! The food at two brothers is very diner like from back in the 90's. It was okay defiantly a breakfast kind of meal for sure! The service was amazing! Our waitress checked in often and also waters and coffees filled up. The atmosphere was Nostalgic the pictures and the décor really took me back and it was a very pleasant feeling of home. For a good meal and nostalgic feeling check out two brothers!

Milwaukee has not disappointed in the way of restaurants! This morning my husband ordered the chili cheese omelette on novelty sake, but he says it was "pretty darn good" lol Our waitress was super friendly and on top of our refills . Here's to another Hole in the wall for the win! Beats super fancy hands down

Great food. Staff is so friendly. Nice little cafe. We love it for breakfast & it's been around for a long time.

If my dad was still alive he'd love Two Brothers. Imagine a small town Wisconsin diner where it's 90% regulars, but in the middle of a West Allis industrial park. Everything is well worn, but clean and the prices are pretty cheap. Coffee is served in thick ceramic diner mugs and sugar cones in one of those giant containers with the little flap for pouring. We saw Steven T's good reviews and decided a dive breakfast would be a good call before an early AM stop at Menards. It's a small place, and the staff is super friendly. Except a basic, well made American breakfast and stay away from anything that sounds remotely fancy. You can get an Italian sausage pizza omelette, but should you? The mister had a veal cutlet (schnitzel essentially) served with eggs, nice crisp hash browns and toast. He was a big fan and declared that adding gravy to eggs is underrated. I had a breakfast plate that netted me perfect over medium eggs, sausage and 2 wedges of French toast. I think my toast could have been griddled a little longer but all in all, it was really good. If you're looking for a solid, basic breakfast that won't break the bank it's worth checking out.

    French toast.

I don't discriminate when it comes to restaurants because I will go to dives and everything else all the way up to nice. Two brothers is my current dive breakfast place when I'm in the mood for a dive breakfast, Lisbon cafe is my second fav breakfast dive. The breakfast food is just simple American breakfast options and no fancy stuff. I personally like the eggs, meat and toast but I will mix it up with omelets, skillets etc. This place just has a solid American breakfast which is why I keep going back. I don't live in this neighborhood but I drive over because I like how the staff and customers all know each other and this is more than just a place for a breakfast stop, it's a social gathering place where people start there day. The crowd is a mix of all ages and the place definitely has a loyal following. I noticed that I got some looks from the regulars again, mabye there just curious but it doesn't bother me. I just find this place a nice relaxing breakfast spot where I can read my magazine and have a friendly down to earth American breakfast and that's why I keep making the drive out of my neifghborhood. P.s. There is a generic sour dough toast option the they some times forgot to mention.

Bacon and cheese omelette. Really good.

Small diner that makes a great breakfast. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelette. It had the cheese on the outside of the omelette, which was different but still was good. Great hash browns as well. Nothing fancy here, just good food.

The food here is super cheap!

We were worried that they might not be able to accomodate all of us, but we were super okay if they split us up into two tables, which they had to end up doing. We sat in their second dining room which ended up being perfect. It wasn't too crowded and the place has a cool ambiance. It's vintage and has that diner feel but maintains its modern effects especially with the Riverwest neighborhood. I ordered a bloody mary which was amazing!! I can be pretty particular when it comes to my bloody's but this was the perfect flavor, spiciness, and the garnishes were super fun. As I said before I was super hungry so I got their dream burger with fries. It was a patty with tomato, onion, lettuce, and cheese. When it came out my eyes popped out of my head cause holy cow was that thing HUGE! I could only eat half of it and I took the rest to-go. It was super juicy and flavorful. The fries were crispy and perfectly salty, it was hard to stop eating them. We also ordered french toast for the table which was just as delicious. It was made with some sort of sourdough bread so it was nice and fluffy. There was a raspberry compote that made it nice and refreshing, and a sweet cinnamon butter to tie it all together. If I came in for breakfast this would be the perfect sweet meal to order. Our server was super nice and attentive, and made sure to check on us when needed and refilled our drinks if we asked. We were in and out pretty fast. Overall it was a great place and I would definitely come again for breakfast!

With their rotating menu items and weekly specials, I am definitely coming back after having such a flavorful and fun meal. Waited about an hour on a busy Saturday since one of their locations was closed, but the food was well worth it! I had gotten Wolfie's Patty Melt and it was filling and a great start to our morning. The bread was nice and crisp from the buttered griddle and held everything together perfectly. Inside the crunchy sandwich were 2 seasoned patties and enough gooey cheese to make it rich, but not heavy. To contrast the fatty flavor, there was a slightly tart bacon jam and onions that were truly caramelized. Overall really tasty sandwich with no notes! In the description it says there is a sauce, but I could only taste the onions and jam, so I'm not too sure what it added. The side of fries was ok, but I think some crispy thinner ones would have been better with the sandwich. For my drink, I got a hot Ube Chai. The chai was strong and had a spicy kick to each sip. Already a subtle flavor, the ube was not very strong with the chai mixed in, but still added fun color. The design on top was also very cute and added another dink of sweetness. My girlfriend got the Spamelette for her main and it was pretty pretty and delish. Not too often that you see Spam, but when you see it, trust it earned its spot on a menu! The big chunks of Spam and accouterments gave each bite a pleasant feel and one full of flavor. I was skeptic of the mushrooms at first, but they were seasoned well and added another kind of texture to the meal. I think my favorite toppings were the drizzle of kewpie and the green onions... not sure if it counts as a topping, but the tamari glaze of the spam made it delish. Taste aside, it was also a pretty meal! Pook got a Hot Chocolate for her drink. Nice simple drink for the cold weather. We would have liked to see some more chocolatey flavor, but still a good milky drink for the meal. This drink also had a fun design and nice cream top, yum yum yum. This was such a tasty meal and they have lots of other options that I was debating on getting - I guess we gotta come back! It was a really cold day, but the cozy atmosphere and hot drinks with our food made it a great experience. We had originally planned on going to the Downtown location, but it was closed because of heating problems. I wish there was a bit more uniformity between their menus, especially since the Brewers Hill menu has different items and is smaller, so it feels like there is quite the difference between locations. Going off of that point, I am excited to try their dinner menu when it releases and see how it compares to when we ate Downtown! I am not sure how the places differ, but I felt the food here to be more flavorful than the other location. In addition to the dining area, they had a small shop and coffee area in the back while you waited for your table. It was fun and made time pass faster, but I feel as though that area is also perfect for dining. Maybe there are specific reasons why it isn't, but just a thought. Hope to come back soon!

When we arrived (about two hours after opening), we were quoted a 1.5-hour wait. Not totally surprising given how popular the spot is, but definitely something to plan around. We've skipped it in the past because we were too hungry to wait, and honestly, that might still be a factor for future visits. The space itself is cozy and on the smaller side, with the bar area taking up a good portion of the restaurant. It has a lively atmosphere, but because it was completely packed and music was playing, it got pretty loud, loud enough that it was hard to hear each other at times, and even a bit difficult to catch everything our server was saying. That said, the waitstaff were friendly and doing their best in a busy environment. As for the food and drinks, definitely the highlight. We ordered an ube latte and a chai, both of which were enjoyable. The standout dish was the breakfast burger with bacon jam. It was fantastic, rich, messy, and indulgent in the best way. The bacon jam added just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the savory, greasy goodness, and I was completely on board with it. We also ordered a few of their breakfast plates, which came with massive smashed potatoes. Overall, Uncle Wolfie's delivered on flavor and vibe, but the long wait and noise level might make us think twice about when we go back. I'd definitely return, but ideally during a less busy time. Otherwise, if I'm starving and don't want to wait, I might end up trying somewhere else.

Their website has a popup on the home page saying it comes with fried haddock, potato pancakes, applesauce, and rye bread, but the popup doesn't list the price and it isn't available through the online ordering function. I ended up calling in an order to go, substituting wheat bread for the rye, and also added a piece of lemon ginger coffee cake. The lemon ginger coffee cake tasted fine, but man was it dry. Like Sahara Desert dry. Maybe this was an anomaly and their other baked goods are better, but I'd be hesitant to try them based on this coffee cake. Even though the website says the side is potato pancakes with applesauce, my fish fry came with fries. They ended up being the best part of the meal, which I certainly wasn't expecting. Still, I was disappointed cause I prefer potato pancakes and was given their inclusion as an expectation. The wheat bread itself was ok, but the butter was oddly unsalted. The fish, of which there was three pieces, was battered with a hint of beer, but like the butter for the bread there was no salt to speak of in the batter. As much as I didn't enjoy the unsalted butter for the bread, not having salt in the batter for the fish managed to be more unpleasant. Maybe Blue's Egg should just stick with serving breakfast items instead of adding something temporary that they clearly aren't pros at.

We reviewed the menu while we waiting for seating, which took far longer than we wanted, more than 30 minutes standing in the cramped lobby area with a bunch of other people. Hats off to their host for being friendly and even a little entertaining and I like that you can order coffee at the register area and drink it while you wait. Too bad you can't get a cocktail out there. The menu sounded great and we were ravenous so we were excited to order. By the time we were seated we were limited to about 40 minutes to get to a ticketed event, all in. I told that to our waitress so she could pace the meal accordingly. While I understand that she can't control the kitchen time, I don't think she showed any expediency or attention to my statement. Spoiler alert - we were late. Two of us ordered the biscuits to start with jam. I was happy to try them and they were good. My coffee based martini hit the spot, but it was spilled a little when it hit the table and our server didn't say anything or wipe it off. My mom liked her bloody Mary and it was decent. When our food came I was immediately disappointed by the appearance. My chilaquiles looked like they had sat under a heat lamp for ages - the egg was dried and over firm. My chips were spicy, but 100% soggy and nasty. My black beans were - meh. Not a good dish overall. My mom actually didn't find fault with her Honeypie Benedict. I tried the hollandaise and it was fine. My cousin did not enjoy her Hopple Popple skillet at all. (Potatoes, bacon, caramelized onion, mushroom, bell pepper, cheddar, two scrambled farm eggs) She found it difficult to find any egg, as it was apparently shrunk into tiny bits. The potatoes were like fries and it was overall bland. Not a winner. We certainly won't be back. The dishes don't live up to the interesting descriptions of them and the hype seems to be from an earlier, better time for this restaurant.
