Staff was so sweet and kind. Bread was fresh and right out of the oven. We went early before church. I wanted to splurge and get some pan dulce. It's quite pricey compared to other places but you can taste the quality. The shop inside is hotter than hades with no ventilation. So I decided to visit the competition in the area, including the local Mexican grocery stores. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE!!! I WENT TO 5 DIFFERENT PLACES!!! THEY ALL WERE TERRIBLE!! Looked unsanitary & didn't have what I was craving from Panaderia La Rosa. Added , the owner and his family are the Best!! Kind, respectful and always have the Best, freshest breads I have ever tasted, and I have tried a few. I would recommend this bakery and his other bakery to everyone!! This panadería has the most meticulous and nimble bakers- every pan dulce is so neat and perfectly shaped. There is a running gag about puerquitos always coming out deformed and being unrecognizable, but not here. I would choose this place if you want an impeccable box of mini conchas to bring to a party, or if you want your pan to impress your guests. By far the BEST bread in all of Southern California!! And lets not mention the hot chocolate is made with actual milk just the way it should be. I can buy a bag of bread and it lasts me all week soft. My favorite ones to buy are the small conchas and the pineapple canastas. I used to live in Florida and when I tell you, I had to take a box of bread with me back home every time I would fly back. Some people might say the price is high but you pay for what you get. There is nothing better than having fresh made bread every day. I have tried a few of their sweet breads and they are all good so far. They also make french bread and it is also good. The only con is when they close the store for a few months then i have to go get sweet bread at a local market lol. This is our local bakery and im glad is not too far from us. Must try.
