To die for: What isn't so phenomenal is the careless disregard with everything that is not food quality. 85 degrees spent all their time effort and brain cells to make an amazing product. Taiwanese quality at its absolute finest. Customer service = meh Cleanliness = yuck Waiting time for drinks = meh Access to restrooms = none Homeless inside of store = wowzers Trash cans fill and overflowing = yuck Understaffed = meh Staff overworked = meh Staff all alone = omg There is an issue when the bakery does not have enough employees to cover for one another so one of them can dare to use the restroom or take a five minute breather outside. 85 degree bakery management at this establishment should be absolutely ashamed at themselves. The workers here looked so over taxed yesterday, poor barista lady was all alone running back and forth fixing drinks, cleaning up and answering questions. 85 degrees I would give your negative stars if I could. This is not the first time I visit your establishment in Moreno Valley and find your store completely trashed with trash stank smell permeating, trash overflowing and trash all on the floor and everything. I stopped by the 85°C in Chino Hills to look at cakes a few minutes past 9:00 PM. Didn't realize the time and there were people outside. Since the front door was open, I walked in. ​Instead of a polite "Sorry, we're closed," the staff immediately snapped at me to leave. I apologized for the mix-up, but they just kept repeating "we are closed." ​It felt like a clear lack of training on how to handle the situation. A simple, professional, "I'm sorry, we're actually closed, but please come see us tomorrow" would have been perfectly fine. They could really use some help with customer service and basic courtesy. read more

I was struck by the inside! It's spacious. There's a good number of seating. A variety of pastries to choose from. As soon as you walk in, you'll be able to order drinks from the kiosk. Service was incredibly kind and patient with me! I had wanted to grab tiramisu slices for a friend's birthday and got a little confused with preordering vs ordering. The staff kindly reoriented me. I love the drinks here but it sure takes a really long time. I ordered on line and still had to wait ten minutes for my drink. It wasn't even busy. Two other customers. Maybe if the two girls and one boy behind the counter would stop looking at instagram and discussing how hot everyone is, they could perhaps acknowledge a customer. Only one working was the cashier. She was ringing a customer up and was the only one that acknowledged me. The others completely ignored me until the cashier asked them if they had my drink. Monday at 4:47pm. Kids these days need to be trained better and need to learn to acknowledge customers the moment they walk in even if just to say they'll be with you in a minute. The service is typically good, today not so much. I ordered a boba, paid and waited for it to be made. once it was made they informed me they didn't have boba straws? How do u drink a boba without a boba straw? And they acted like it was no big deal, wow I still would come here, it's typically a great place. This place was open on Christmas which was great! I love their breads! They were even open until 9pm. I feel bad for the workers, but it was awesome and convenient to get a cake for my family for Christmas. I got the Ube cream cake. I tried it when it was still frozen, but it was still good. Had a good Ube taste! I also got the Ube bun which didn't really taste like Ube to me. The cream seemed more buttery sweet than Ube. I also got the mango bun which did have a mango like taste. I preferred that bun vs the Ube. I also got the brown sugar lattes it was hot and sweet. I should have gotten something more bitter to balance all those sweet treats. They had pretty much all their flavors of buns out so it didn't look empty. Everything looked so delicious! read more

Omg! Best breads and pastries I have had in a long time!!! Every single one was amazing! We got 15 different one... can't remember them all but the ones that stick out in my mind, since I like spicy stuff (lol) was the jalapeno cream cheese bread and the Hawaiian chicken bread which were both so so good we devoured it in a couple bites. We also tried the spicy sausage bun and that was also amazing! I ate it all and didn't share with the rest of the family! The cafe itself was so clean and the displays were perfect. The buns and breads were all packaged in its own wrapper so you didn't have to worry about people touching your food with their dirty fingers (thank goodness). The only thing was that our cashier didn't seem too enthusiastic hahaha but it was pretty busy so maybe he was just feeling tired. We also ordered drinks too and the tiger boba latte and some coffee and they were all great!!! The boba was perfect texture. I am so surprised at how good everything was considering they are a chain. Usually when you have like a chain their quality seems to suffer but here...not at all! The baked goods were top tier! Seriously. Every thing was so so amazing! Wow. I am definitely planning to buy a ton more and take it to my extended family so they can try it. We don't live around here so we are going to definitely going to hunt down locations near where I live and see if the quality is the same. So happy with this experience! Everyone come!! The Spicy Sausage Bun is one of my favorite items, but it seems to be unavailable almost every time I visit. I've also found some staff responses to be dismissive when I ask about it. This bakery is amazing. I try to go every weekend to get my sweet treat! The drinks are delicious as well, I typically get a peach green tea. I love the lemon muffins, walnut chocolate cookies, bacon cheese pastries and the strawberry shortcake. The cakes in the display always tempt me! First time I went, I got the coconut and mango seasonal drink. Two more times I go to get the same drink. Tell me why they didn't add the same ingredients such as the mango pieces and coconut jello. I always come here on my breaks during work hours because the pastries are inexpensive and very yummy! the drinks are also very nice and refreshing at a good price. My favorites are the spinach kale pastry and recently i really like the grapefruit iced tea. However i will say that some of the drinks, specifically the vietnamese iced coffee were mostly ice and not enough liquid which was disappointing.... but it still tasted great so i cant be that mad. the same worker with glasses and a ponytail is almost always there when i go and they are very nice :) read more

Came here on August 30 at 5 pm and bought two strawberry half moons. I love strawberries so I was so excited! I immediately put them in the fridge and the next morning I took it out to eat and it was completely moldy as shown in the picture, not even 16 hours after purchase. Both moon cakes looked like this. SO disappointing. The employees should be checking for this often and at a bakery, the bread should always be fresh. Also, another time their menu said they had a new strawberry leche drink and when I ordered it, the cashier told me it's not available since it is a limited time. Why put it on the menu if it's not available? Their menu is simply a tv screen.., just change it. I recommend supporting your local bakeries rather than coming to large chain bakeries and buying disgusting bread. read more

I ordered a cake ahead of time online and wanted to see if I can pick it up early, no one answers the phones. It's so annoying. That's like minus a star bc of that. Need better efficient customer service, I didn't want to waste a trip if my cake wasn't ready so it would've been nice if someone actually answered the phone. Also they don't have their number listed on the yelp page. It's only on the email to verify my order or u have to google it, so that's hella weird. Anyways I'll talk about the customer service when I got there. I am very confrontational so I did mention all of this to the front lady. The front desk handled it really well and actually had my order ready within 5 minutes of my arrival (I was about 45 min early from my original pick up time). I did bring it to their attention about no one answering the phone and she apologized as well and took accountability....so all is ok. Anyways the food... Their pastries and breads can't compare, they are very light and tasty, and I highly recommend the hot dog one, the egg tarts, the milk bun, and the strawberry bread pastry, it has like a strawberry cheese inside that isn't to sweet. I like all of them but those are my faves. Their coffee is pretty good too. The prices all increased from a couple years ago, but hey that's inflation again. The place is located in a nice little plaza where a ayres hotel, a lees sandwich, jack in the box and a pizza place are all around it. read more
