I always come here on my breaks during work hours because the pastries are inexpensive and very yummy! the drinks are also very nice and refreshing at a good price. My favorites are the spinach kale pastry and recently i really like the grapefruit iced tea. However i will say that some of the drinks, specifically the vietnamese iced coffee were mostly ice and not enough liquid which was disappointing.... but it still tasted great so i cant be that mad. the same worker with glasses and a ponytail is almost always there when i go and they are very nice :) read more

I stopped by the 85°C in Chino Hills to look at cakes a few minutes past 9:00 PM. Didn't realize the time and there were people outside. Since the front door was open, I walked in. ​Instead of a polite "Sorry, we're closed," the staff immediately snapped at me to leave. I apologized for the mix-up, but they just kept repeating "we are closed." ​It felt like a clear lack of training on how to handle the situation. A simple, professional, "I'm sorry, we're actually closed, but please come see us tomorrow" would have been perfectly fine. They could really use some help with customer service and basic courtesy. read more

Omg! Best breads and pastries I have had in a long time!!! Every single one was amazing! We got 15 different one... can't remember them all but the ones that stick out in my mind, since I like spicy stuff (lol) was the jalapeno cream cheese bread and the Hawaiian chicken bread which were both so so good we devoured it in a couple bites. We also tried the spicy sausage bun and that was also amazing! I ate it all and didn't share with the rest of the family! The cafe itself was so clean and the displays were perfect. The buns and breads were all packaged in its own wrapper so you didn't have to worry about people touching your food with their dirty fingers (thank goodness). The only thing was that our cashier didn't seem too enthusiastic hahaha but it was pretty busy so maybe he was just feeling tired. We also ordered drinks too and the tiger boba latte and some coffee and they were all great!!! The boba was perfect texture. I am so surprised at how good everything was considering they are a chain. Usually when you have like a chain their quality seems to suffer but here...not at all! The baked goods were top tier! Seriously. Every thing was so so amazing! Wow. This place was open on Christmas which was great! I love their breads! They were even open until 9pm. I feel bad for the workers, but it was awesome and convenient to get a cake for my family for Christmas. I got the Ube cream cake. I tried it when it was still frozen, but it was still good. Had a good Ube taste! I also got the Ube bun which didn't really taste like Ube to me. The cream seemed more buttery sweet than Ube. I also got the mango bun which did have a mango like taste. I preferred that bun vs the Ube. I also got the brown sugar lattes it was hot and sweet. I should have gotten something more bitter to balance all those sweet treats. I love the lemon muffins, walnut chocolate cookies, bacon cheese pastries and the strawberry shortcake. The cakes in the display always tempt me! Came here on August 30 at 5 pm and bought two strawberry half moons. I love strawberries so I was so excited! I immediately put them in the fridge and the next morning I took it out to eat and it was completely moldy as shown in the picture, not even 16 hours after purchase. Both moon cakes looked like this. SO disappointing. The employees should be checking for this often and at a bakery, the bread should always be fresh. Also, another time their menu said they had a new strawberry leche drink and when I ordered it, the cashier told me it's not available since it is a limited time. Why put it on the menu if it's not available? Their menu is simply a tv screen.., just change it. I recommend supporting your local bakeries rather than coming to large chain bakeries and buying disgusting bread. read more

I ordered a cake ahead of time online and wanted to see if I can pick it up early, no one answers the phones. It's so annoying. That's like minus a star bc of that. Need better efficient customer service, I didn't want to waste a trip if my cake wasn't ready so it would've been nice if someone actually answered the phone. Also they don't have their number listed on the yelp page. It's only on the email to verify my order or u have to google it, so that's hella weird. Anyways I'll talk about the customer service when I got there. I am very confrontational so I did mention all of this to the front lady. The front desk handled it really well and actually had my order ready within 5 minutes of my arrival (I was about 45 min early from my original pick up time). I did bring it to their attention about no one answering the phone and she apologized as well and took accountability....so all is ok. Anyways the food... Their pastries and breads can't compare, they are very light and tasty, and I highly recommend the hot dog one, the egg tarts, the milk bun, and the strawberry bread pastry, it has like a strawberry cheese inside that isn't to sweet. I like all of them but those are my faves. Their coffee is pretty good too. The prices all increased from a couple years ago, but hey that's inflation again. The place is located in a nice little plaza where a ayres hotel, a lees sandwich, jack in the box and a pizza place are all around it. read more

I ordered 3 strawberry de leche drinks, and unfortunately they were very watered down. The texture wasn't creamy like I've experienced at other locations. By the time I tasted them, I was already home and too far to return to the store. It was very disappointing, especially since I was expecting the usual quality. I always go here during special events such as birthdays and big christmas celebrations. I love the adorable packaging that comes with the cakes and goods. The atmosphere of the place is also very enjoyable. I love that walking in you could smell the scent of fresh baked goods and savory treats. My favorite to buy are the Brioche and Patato Croquette, very warm and comforting baked goods for the cold weather. It is always nice to order a refreshing taro milk tea along with the treats. Finally, we get to the service and all I have to say is that the cashiers are always nice and patient. Overall rating, I would give this a 5 stars because I enjoy going here all the time. read more

I had a very odd & underwhelming experience this past weekend. Patricia S. was the cashier that DID not greet me back, upon ringing up my order; or my mother's order for that matter. It was clear she didn't want to be at the register. She either misheard my cake slice order or wasn't paying close enough attention, and got it wrong. But I was smart enough to check the slices while waiting for my drink order. I then went to the waiting area counter for drink pickups & was greeted by another, much younger, short female employee. I wish I would've gotten her name! I let her know the situation & she said she would FIRST need to confirm the difference in price & ask her manager if it was OK? Odd. They were the same price by the way. She then put the cake slice that I had already opened & handled, BACK for sale. She also gave me the correct slice. Came in on a Friday morning at 9:30am. I wanted to buy a cake and good thing I came in that morning. I know you can order ahead of time but I wanted to see the cakes in person. The young girl in the front (Emira-I think/ sorry) was so sweet and helpful. There's so much to choose from and the bakery itself is full of goodies. Yes it may take awhile for your food and drinks to be made but it's worth it. The bakery is very clean and well organized. I will be back. Side Note: I didn't want to drive around with the cake in the car so I paid in advance and they held it for me till I came back at 11 after my shopping in the area. The pastries are definitely the same 85 degrees quality as the other stores and the staff is super polite and helpful. They seem to run out of their more popular items hours before close, so it would be best to get there earlier in the day for the best variety of pastries... and this is during the weekdays as well as the weekends. Not a ton of chairs to sit and chill with friends over a snack and drinks. But their drinks must be bomb bc there's usually a good number of people waiting for their drink. read more

I needed to go to a store next-door and then I saw someone walk out with something that looked amazing... When I walked him, there was a hint of sweetness in the air. Of course I couldn't decide on anything I wanted. So I got a few different things. The ambience is like a Korean bakery. I'm not sure if you ever been to one, but they have everything on display with signage. Then there is a cold section for anything refrigerated......very sleek and modern. Service was well organized and they also had a cute kiosk so you could pre-order Boba if you wanted to. This is definitely a place you should try out if you're in the area. I will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in town. read more
