I always love going to 85°. The woman who helped me at the cash register was so friendly. I am very bummed that I did not get her name. She was not only friendly, but actually, she helped me to take advantage of one of the coupons that I had on my account. Not only did she help me with the coupon, but she really made a good recommendation as to how we could handle the transaction so that I was getting the most for my money. I don't know about you, but money is always a big deal in my family and anyway that we can save, we will. I was happy to be able to use my coupon and also get great deals. When we arrived, it was perfect timing. A lot of fresh bread was coming out. Everything that we picked up was warm still. Amazing. I don't know what it is that the Bakery is doing that is different with their hotdog buns, but they are so good. I don't know if it's a new topping or a new sauce or something that's in the middle but to me, it is phenomenal. I had a few other items with my family, but really that hot dog bun really stuck out for me. I would love to go back and get more. I still kind of wonder if that was something that just happened to that batch or is this consistently their new flavor. I loved it. I had a few bites of other items here in there, but I kept thinking about that hotdog one. I was super happy to find that they had grapefruit tea. That was really good. There sitting area near the drink pick up space was very comfy. This entire store is so super spacious. There was a nice sitting area toward the back left of the store. I initially didn't notice it when we walked in. There is more than plenty of parking here in their private lot. I wish I knew their baking schedule. read more

Good local 85 in the area. I recently stopped in and got a free sea salt drink, which was pretty good. I usually get the sea salt teas, but the coffee was pretty good, too. I also got the hot dog baked bun and that was also good. Staff are friendly here. Restrooms are pretty clean. But you need to get a code from the front. There can be a wait ftom the drink station though. There seems to be shorter staff in that section. read more

I was struck by the inside! It's spacious. There's a good number of seating. A variety of pastries to choose from. As soon as you walk in, you'll be able to order drinks from the kiosk. Service was incredibly kind and patient with me! I had wanted to grab tiramisu slices for a friend's birthday and got a little confused with preordering vs ordering. The staff kindly reoriented me. I love the drinks here but it sure takes a really long time. I ordered on line and still had to wait ten minutes for my drink. It wasn't even busy. Two other customers. Maybe if the two girls and one boy behind the counter would stop looking at instagram and discussing how hot everyone is, they could perhaps acknowledge a customer. Only one working was the cashier. She was ringing a customer up and was the only one that acknowledged me. The others completely ignored me until the cashier asked them if they had my drink. Monday at 4:47pm. Kids these days need to be trained better and need to learn to acknowledge customers the moment they walk in even if just to say they'll be with you in a minute. I think the selection of bakery items is pretty good and so is the coffee. I like that you can buy miniature cake slices for special occasions for individuals. They wrap them in really nice boxes when you order to go. read more

I just never understand why they either discontinue most popular items, or just don't make enough of them for the day. For example, their chicken curry donut and their apple streusel and another favorite that I don't recall the moment, but I believe it had a meat filling in it. I found a new favorite with their apple muffin, and has gotten it once because they're always out. Got the last one today, and I asked if they made any more batches and at 1:35 PM I was told no they just make them for the morning. I don't understand why you would run a business this way, but I guess they're still in business so what do I know? I will have to say the fountain Valley locations staff are quite attentive. This place was open on Christmas which was great! I love their breads! They were even open until 9pm. I feel bad for the workers, but it was awesome and convenient to get a cake for my family for Christmas. I got the Ube cream cake. I tried it when it was still frozen, but it was still good. Had a good Ube taste! I also got the Ube bun which didn't really taste like Ube to me. The cream seemed more buttery sweet than Ube. I also got the mango bun which did have a mango like taste. I preferred that bun vs the Ube. I also got the brown sugar lattes it was hot and sweet. I should have gotten something more bitter to balance all those sweet treats. They had pretty much all their flavors of buns out so it didn't look empty. Everything looked so delicious! read more

Omg! Best breads and pastries I have had in a long time!!! Every single one was amazing! We got 15 different one... can't remember them all but the ones that stick out in my mind, since I like spicy stuff (lol) was the jalapeno cream cheese bread and the Hawaiian chicken bread which were both so so good we devoured it in a couple bites. We also tried the spicy sausage bun and that was also amazing! I ate it all and didn't share with the rest of the family! The cafe itself was so clean and the displays were perfect. The buns and breads were all packaged in its own wrapper so you didn't have to worry about people touching your food with their dirty fingers (thank goodness). The only thing was that our cashier didn't seem too enthusiastic hahaha but it was pretty busy so maybe he was just feeling tired. We also ordered drinks too and the tiger boba latte and some coffee and they were all great!!! The boba was perfect texture. I am so surprised at how good everything was considering they are a chain. Usually when you have like a chain their quality seems to suffer but here...not at all! The baked goods were top tier! Seriously. Every thing was so so amazing! Wow. I am definitely planning to buy a ton more and take it to my extended family so they can try it. We don't live around here so we are going to definitely going to hunt down locations near where I live and see if the quality is the same. So happy with this experience! Everyone come!! The service is typically good, today not so much. I ordered a boba, paid and waited for it to be made. once it was made they informed me they didn't have boba straws? How do u drink a boba without a boba straw? And they acted like it was no big deal, wow I still would come here, it's typically a great place. I love the lemon muffins, walnut chocolate cookies, bacon cheese pastries and the strawberry shortcake. The cakes in the display always tempt me! The Spicy Sausage Bun is one of my favorite items, but it seems to be unavailable almost every time I visit. I've also found some staff responses to be dismissive when I ask about it. I stopped by the 85°C in Chino Hills to look at cakes a few minutes past 9:00 PM. Didn't realize the time and there were people outside. Since the front door was open, I walked in. ​Instead of a polite "Sorry, we're closed," the staff immediately snapped at me to leave. I apologized for the mix-up, but they just kept repeating "we are closed." ​It felt like a clear lack of training on how to handle the situation. A simple, professional, "I'm sorry, we're actually closed, but please come see us tomorrow" would have been perfectly fine. They could really use some help with customer service and basic courtesy. read more

Came here on August 30 at 5 pm and bought two strawberry half moons. I love strawberries so I was so excited! I immediately put them in the fridge and the next morning I took it out to eat and it was completely moldy as shown in the picture, not even 16 hours after purchase. Both moon cakes looked like this. SO disappointing. The employees should be checking for this often and at a bakery, the bread should always be fresh. Also, another time their menu said they had a new strawberry leche drink and when I ordered it, the cashier told me it's not available since it is a limited time. Why put it on the menu if it's not available? Their menu is simply a tv screen.., just change it. I recommend supporting your local bakeries rather than coming to large chain bakeries and buying disgusting bread. read more

First time I went, I got the coconut and mango seasonal drink. Two more times I go to get the same drink. Tell me why they didn't add the same ingredients such as the mango pieces and coconut jello.
