They upgraded their menu a bit! Ordered their seafood ramen and it's really good. Lots of toppings. Good portion; very filling.
I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for quick service and good dumplings! My table had ordered the grilled squid and cucumber salad for our appetizers. The quid was cooked perfectly and topped off with a sweet chili. The cucumber salad portion was great and had good crunch and flavor. We did think it to be a little sweet for us so we just dressed it with the sauces they had on the side on the tables. We also ordered wontons in chili oil, pork soup dumplings and shumai and chocolate dumplings to go. My personal favorite definitely is the wonton in chili oil. I love the texture of the dough which is soft and light. The filling is perfectly flavored as well. My sister & dad really enjoyed their soup dumplings and finished 2 orders. The chocolate dumplings had a great filling but the tops of the dumplings were a little thick and chewy in my opinion. Overall everything was good!
I found this place when my mom and I were looking for a place to eat near us. There's plenty of tables and I really enjoyed the ordering system. There's a tablet at your table and you order from there so you can always add things on- which I enjoyed. Getting to the food it was great!! It came out pretty quick and everything was very tasty. My favorite were the pan fried pork buns we also got vegetable dumplings, bbq pork bao, and chocolate xiao long bao. The bao were super soft and the vegetable dumplings had a nice favor to them. Definitely recommend this place!
A quick visit here to get a taste of the bbq pork buns and egg rolls. At orders at the counter and was informed the wait would be about 10 mins. So I took a seat and just observed the location a bit. Staff was nice, location was getting a fair amount of customers, whether it was take out or dine in. I also noticed that this location offered "order at your table" as all tables have table top monitors to do so. Or you could simply order at the counter with the above head menu or the little signage postings along the bottom of the register. I would say out of my order choice I enjoyed the buns more than the egg-rolls in turn of being flavorful. But I know I'll visit again as there are more items I would like to try out.
4/23/26 - Looking for something fun to do instead of the regular beat & tired of eating the same foods everyday, I thought about trying Bao Bao. I had my two oldest grandchildren with me and they are adventurous like their Grammy!!!! The three of us chose a dish and one additional which was the steamed pork buns. Our order was take by computer that is in your table. We ordered: Steamed pork buns, shrimp fried rice, orange chicken, and shrimp rice ramen noodle. I will start with the best dishes: I will give the steamed pork buns an AA rating. They were buttery soft and were not filled with pork that has a lot of fat. I don't like biting into my pork bun and bite into a lot of pork that is crunching in my mouth. I hate that!!! This bun is just a little sweet, but tasty. The orange chicken was presented very nicely with thin orange slices decorating the plate. The grandchildren & I really enjoyed this dish. The shrimp fried rice was served cold, but had plenty plump shrimp which surprised me. I am not a fan of peas & carrots but the grandchildren liked it. The shrimp ramen noodle was not a hit with the three of us. It probably would do better as a ramen soup, it lacked in taste big time, so in some broth with a little seasonings I am sure would make a big difference. The plus of this dish was it too had plenty plump shrimp. I don't come out to Trinity Parkway often and I don't know if I would try this place again. The restaurant is not big inside; a little tight. There are some tables for two and some for four. The biggest table is for six and is in the front. Customers were coming in picking up their orders as well as Door Dash & Uber Eats. Our four orders with drinks came up to $73.+
I wish I got the girls name who didn't even help me, but decided to put her two cents in my pick up order. Plus the kid who made me wait 10 mins in line while he talked up 2 girls. I don't take well to a lady being rude for me not tipping on a pick up order that I placed over the phone. Waited almost 10 mins in line for 2 girls to be in front of me who were together and just talking up the guy at the register. It seemed they were talking about more than just ordering their food. They had even already paid while I'm still standing there waiting. Not to mention my food had just been on the counter the entire time next to the rude girl who was drying plates or folding napkins I can't even remember because this review is hella months over due! How I knew the couple ahead of me (2 girls) were done ordering and just chit chatting because after maybe 8-9 minutes of me waiting to get my pick up order, this guy working the register (staff member) finally had them walk to the side and they asked how they could help me, and nobody paid or anything. The 2 girls just stepped over to the side. The guy then ask "how can I help you", No "sorry for the wait." So I'm a little irritable and just respond "Here to pick up an order for Lin" I have my card ready to pay. Then the girl drying the plates hasn't said one word to me but she's starring at me. She can sense I'm irritated I guess? She then says something to the kid in her language. He asks me "would you like to leave a tip" I said "no thank you." The he passes me my food. Again, No "thanks for the wait or have a good day". Then the girl who hasn't said one word to me or even addressed me while she was starring me down as I'm paying smiles hella hard and says, "Have a good day, enjoy your food we took time to make" then stops smiling as I'm walking off, then again back at it in her language. So I left. Wtf is that supposed to mean? Yes, food takes time to make, I know? So to me that just was spiteful because I didn't tip. I'm always one to tip even for fast food! I even tip Target employees for my drive up orders!!! Not all the time, because times are hard but most of the time. Especially on my big orders! But y'all had me wait nearly 10 mins, not one apology, then you give me a sarcastic "enjoy your food we took time to make" after I say "no tip". I actually enjoyed the chili wonton soup. Wasn't a fan of the bland rice or the soft popcorn chicken that was not crispy at all, because it had been sitting on that counter for god knows how long, but I still would've been back to try other items. After this service though, I still haven't returned and probably won't after the encounter I received from the girl.
Great food, great service and great lighting! Love the fact that inside doesn't have bright, blinding lights. Another cool thing about this place is you can order right from your table on the tablet. When you're done eating and have leftovers, there's a set up near the front where you can grab whatever size container you need along with utensils and bags. Soup dumplings are delicious!!

The grilled squid was great, bast in some sort of chili sweet sauce. A bit over cooked very chewy. Nonetheless tasty. Soup dumplings were great. Very clean soup with light taste of crab along with nice pork flavor. Wrapper was thin it could have ate two orders. Not with everything else I had but maybe if not ordered the dan dan noodles. I didn't enjoy the noodles. Not the flavors but the noodles. I could get a handle on them with chop sticks. I may have been a skill issue but even a mouth feel was to slimy soupy. Service was ok. It's order on thshe pad at the table and pay at the register. They dont take tips on card payments so if you want to tip, bring cash. Ambiance was music over head with sounds of the kitchen. I visit again someday.
We went in on a Monday, it wasn't busy when we got there around 5pm. But within 30 mins, the whole place was full. The service was quick and easy. We dined in, so they directed us to sit down and order from the tablet. Once we ordered, we waited about 10 mins and our appetizers came out. Then continuously after that food came out consistently every 5-10 mins. The overall dining space is a tad bit small. Small but clean restaurant. The food tasted great, a little pricey but worth it. I will be back for more.

Before commenting on the food, I appreciated that each table was stocked with garlic sauce, chili oil, and vinegar--an excellent touch for enhancing flavors. Guests are required to place their order at the register upon arrival, after which you're given a number and directed to seat yourself. The restaurant also offers a self-serve water station. While the space is small, I enjoyed the glass wall that provides a clear view of the kitchen, allowing diners to watch the chefs in action. Our dishes were served promptly; however, I did notice that once the food is delivered, there's no further table service or check-in from the staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the lumpia and beef rolls. Unfortunately, the black garlic ramen broth lacked depth of flavor and is not something I would order again. The Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao had a strong fishy taste that was off-putting. I removed the crab topping and added garlic sauce to help balance the flavor, which made it somewhat more palatable. Regrettably, I experienced a severe stomachache afterward and, in hindsight, should have trusted my initial hesitation. Overall, while there were some highlights, I'm unlikely to return.

The black garlic ramen was so, so delicious & full of pork, egg, garlic chunks, etc., with a thick craveable broth. Also, the chicken and corn dumplings were very tasty. The passionfruit orange drink was filled with chunks of passionfruit and perfect texture and sweet/sour taste. the ambience is welcoming and warm with plenty of seating indoors and great service.
This will be a little different than my usual reviews. My cousins had taken me here and they did the ordering. That being said I don't know the name of everything but I can tell you what they essentially were. We for sure ordered Xiao long bao and they were pretty solid. Not necessarily my favorite but pretty decent. My favorite though was their pan fried dumplings. Not sure if they were technically like pan fried soup dumplings but that's what's they appeared to be like. We also had some sort of wontons in chili oil, dumplings and like a fried beef wrap. This isn't in my wheelhouse and I'm not that experienced in this kind of food. So I'm hoping the pics help do it more justice than my descriptions. As for the location it's in a nice area of town. The restaurant was decent in size and felt pretty roomy. The place was pretty clean as well, possibly because it was pretty new.
On the way back home from the Bay Area and decided to stop by for ramen at 88 Bao Bao. First time visiting 88 Bao Bao so I was excited to check out this place. And it did not disappoint! This spot is located in a shopping plaza and there are plenty of parking. Inside is well organized and clean with plenty of dining tables and cool wall decors. There is a wall-mounted TV displaying the culture. Once inside, I was greeted and welcomed to pick any open table. There is a table-top digital touch pad which displays the full menu and browse through to select items to order including drinks except for water which can be requested from the server. Many different selections for ramen flavor and dim sum!! Placed an order the following: ***Wonton ramen with bok choy and egg, mild spiciness $15.99 - 5/5 ***Shrimp and pork shaomai $13.95 - 5/5 ***Green tea (cold) $3 - 4/5 The server also provided some water as requested. The wonton ramen was sooo good and delicious! And I love bok choy anytime! The shrimp and pork shaomai was very savory and tasty! The chili sauce could be a bit more spicy but it was still good! The green tea cold drink was very refreshing and soothing, especially on a hot day. Staff are very friendly and courteous. Great customer service and very respectful. Oooh things have changed since I last came here. They have tablets at table side to place your order now. Which is nice. I think they should give you an option to pay at the tablet too though, instead of going to the front counter. I imagine the lineup can still get long if it is busy. But it worked out for us on the day that my friend and I came. It did not take long after we placed our order for each of the items to come out. I appreciated that they brought the sweet item last as our "dessert". I am excited that 88Bao Bao has expanded their menu options too! For example, the cute panda custard bun is something I haven't tried before. It's not as cute as the pictures though, just keep in mind hahah. I have to say, though, a lot of the prices have gone up since the last time I was here; and between two people who had ordered about four or five dishes, two fruit drinks, with taxes and tip it up to $95! I think this place does well for their dumplings and xiao long bao. The wonton chili oil wasn't as flavorful or spicy as I am used to at other Chinese restaurants. For the small space, they certainly use it well with several tables available. They keep the dining area and the bathroom relatively clean as well. The restaurant was 3/4 full when we were there, but still not too noisy that you couldn't have conversations. The TV plays random YouTube music videos. Overall, a decent experience. I like that they had expanded their menu options and provide a tablet to order at the tables. I just hope that they can maintain the quality of their many items. It has gotten a little more expensive, understandably, so I don't imagine coming back too often. I always love their guava fruit drink though so I do recommend that. read more

The first thing I noticed was the amazing customer service. I've been to another location and it was a terrible experience (service-wise) so this one was a breath of fresh air. The ambiance was great and everything was clean. There was a tv on with a cooking show. I didn't watch it but it would be great if dining in alone. Now, the food came out piping hot and perfect for family style sharing. The beef rolls were great but gotta eat in moderation... since it is pan fried. lol. Absolutely loved the grilled squid! Soo good. We also ordered stir fried rice noodles and lumpia. I didn't get a good photo of the lumpia bc everyone snatched it up before I got a chance. I'll definitely be returning to try other items on the menu. Oh and I got a mango tea boba! Yummers! read more

This place totally lived up to my expectations. It truly was a delightful experience. At each table, they have little tablets where you can order. Which was really nice because we were able to take our time looking at all the yummy options. For our drinks, we ordered two brown sugar boba with pearls and one taro boba with pearls. The drinks were tasty and refreshing. For our food, we ordered popcorn chicken which came with a dipping sauce. The chicken was warm and very tender. The sauce was sweet and tasty so it accompanied the chicken very well. The pork buns were very warm and the filling inside was savory and delicious. The shumai was very yummy. The shrimp was juicy and flavorful. The tonkotsu soup was excellent. I got mine medium spicy. The spiciness was just right and did not overpower that delicious tonkotsu flavor. All the toppings were cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the creamy soup. The ambience provides a relaxed and easy going feel. What I found very interesting was the clear windows where you can see the people preparing the food. I definitely recommend this place. I will be back for more tasty food! read more

Was craving some dumplings so my kids and I decided to give this spot a try. It was around lunch time but luckily it wasn't too busy when we arrived. You place your order at the counter and then find a seat. All of our food came out pretty fast and we ordered so many different dishes. The team at this location were nice and friendly. There were plenty of seats available but not much space in between. The dishes we had were good and they give you a good amount. read more

I love this place, it's my go to for dumplings. The staff is always nice and friendly and they get the food out really quickly. The pork xiao long bao are a must order. The pork potstickers are also amazing. So far everything I've ordered I've really enjoyed, except for the custard panda buns. They weren't bad, just not as flavorful as I'd hoped. Overall I really like coming here, this is the only place in town I'll go for dumplings. read more
After a wild weather swing from sunny 80° skies to cold, rainy gloom, we were on the hunt for something hot, steamy, and soul-warming -- and thanks to a quick Yelp search, 88 Bao Bao popped up like a hero on our radar. First win: plenty of parking. Seriously, in the land of endless parking lot battles, this was a dream. The restaurant itself is cozy, but we were seated right away, even with a good crowd inside. Slightly unusual setup -- you get seated first, then pop up to the counter to place your order -- but it was smooth and easy. They hand you a number and before you know it, your food is arriving at your table, piping hot. We both zeroed in on the black garlic ramen (because obviously, black garlic = flavor bomb). When asked about spice level, we bravely went for "medium" and it was the perfect balance: just enough heat to warm you up, but not so much that you need a fire extinguisher. The char siu pork was melt-in-your-mouth magic -- tender, with a just-right hint of sweetness that played perfectly against the rich, deep broth. Toss in a mountain of fresh bean sprouts and the dreamiest jammy egg, and honestly, we found the ramen hug we didn't know we needed. And just when we thought we had made the perfect menu choice, we glanced around the room and noticed... everyone was ordering dumplings. Juicy, steamy, dumplings. Came here on a Thursday afternoon after work and ordered to-go. I got the beef noodle soup, the xlb and the garlic green beans. It took a while for the food to be ready. There was a steady flow of people coming in to eat and get takeout. The xlb was nice and juicy. The beef noodle soup was so good with a bit of spice. So much bok choy with a nice crunch. And the green beans come in such a large serving. That itself lasted me several meals. Lol. Would come back to try other things on the menu! read more
Fast, cheap, and filling, we found the food to be hit or miss. The chow mein chicken was inexplicably rubbery; the beef rolls were fatty but otherwise decent. The shrimp dumplings were disgusting, filled with shrimp paste instead of actual shrimp. The chai siu bau was ok, but dough texture was off. The best thing we had was the pan fried pork bun. Recently visited while I was in the area. Entering this place, can get busy. Although there were plenty of seats to go around. FYI you have to order at the registers even if you're planning to sit in store. We were pretty confused with this aspect, but once we figured it out everything else was smooth sailing. Worker at the front were really nice! We ordered popcorn chicken, XLB, pan fried bun, and the garlic chili oil. As we were eating, I noticed to my left, one of the workers who had gloves on, was massaging his neck and face, touching his shirt and adjusting, touching the top metal piece over the steamers pretending to do a pull up / stretch. Then he went straight back to making new dumplings without changing his gloves. If you plan on having an open concept kitchen, then we can see EVERYTHING. I lost my appetite after that. Oh 88 Bao Bao, I think I love you! If I lived around the corner, I'd eat here several times a week. From the friendly service, to the quality menu offerings, the speed at which the food arrived at your table, to the open kitchen where you can observe culinary magic in action, you're not a gem--you're a crown jewel! My party of four arrived early during the dinner hour on a Monday, so the restaurant was relatively quiet. We ordered a whole slew of things to sample, this being the first visit for us all. Kicking things off with some garlic-dressed green beans, we quickly tucked into our veggies just as the other items started hitting the table. You don't have to wait very long to slake your hunger here! From there it was a dance of dishes, each better than the last. We ordered some noodles as a safety dish, and while tasty, it was almost unnecessary because everything that came to us was absolutely delicious. The BBQ Pork Bao, the Crab and Pork Xiaolongbao, fried-bottom-bao, beef roll... You cannot go wrong. Whatever your tastes, there is something on the menu for you. The menu item you MUST try is the gold lava bun. It is stunning in its presentation and seductive in its flavor. I had this days ago now and I cannot stop thinking about it, turning over in my mind how such a thing is accomplished. If you only ever stopped for this bun, you'd be doing okay. 88 bao bao has been a consistent amazing experience every time I've gone. I used to go to the Dublin location a lot but since I've moved to Stockton it's a pretty far drive. I was so excited to hear when it was announced they were opening one in Stockton! The employees are very helpful and the prices are so good for what you get. I've tried many different things off of the menu and not one has me disappointed. I recommended coming with at least one other person or else you'll have a lot of leftovers with their portions. The seating is a little close but it really doesn't matter when you're eating their amazing dishes. read more
