They're hardworking and honestly: an adorable couple. The people who live in this complex are really great too. There's a sense of community among the longer-term residents. If you're shy though, nobody is going to make you uncomfortable. It's a really safe place to live. Not to mention, the prices are great for the area. Finally, the living areas are spacious. All accommodations are present within the living space with the exception of on-site laundry which is not a large inconvenience since it is centrally located. It's also a well maintained laundry space. In my whole stay they were only full once and I never had any clothing stolen or tampered with. Honestly, I'm gonna miss living here. Even after the property management company did absolutely nothing about ongoing mail theft (not even putting in a camera or anything), this was still an oasis. The redwoods, the sweetgum trees, the other dicot trees lush and flourishing made this place OK enough. NO MORE. Without any warning, at the beginning of what is being predicted to be a very hot summer (June 2023) , the property owners have "trimmed" (massacred) the trees (not the redwoods) that have provided significant shade and tremendous beauty for us paying tenants. The trees are what have set this place apart. Now it is a dystopian wasteland which leaves any of the apartments with windows facing south and west vulnerable to immense heat, it might as well be any other apartment complex now. The large windows will absorb the heat and will make these apartments unlivable unless of course you can buy an A/C until that costs half the rent and with now monthly cost to run. THIS IS NO LONGER AN OASIS.

I moved in May 1 at Felix in Santa Rosa . I was originally thinking of signing a three month lease…read moresince I was working on a contract in Santa Rosa at Kaiser. There is usually a chance to renew . Clair Sold me on the notion I should sign a 14 months lease ( 6 weeks free). And that I could easily advertise it as furnished and do a lease take over since there were so many people on contracts there . No one forced me to sign the lease and in fact Signed a 14 month lease since it was pretty likely I would have an offer to renew my contract . Unfortunately Kaiser decided to Not renew any Of the Travels contracts end of May ! On May 29 th I sent an email to Emily and another email to the team letting them Know I was advertising my unit for a lease takeover . I asked then if they needed 30 days notice or more . In fact the ads are still running On several different platforms to date . But, Emily unlike Clair said I couldn't advertise my unit as furnished for a lease takeover. Emily said I had the only remaining studio at the time and that it would go fast . She said if I gave notice I could pay three months and get out . But she wanted me to Be out asap by end of June ?My contract ended July 4 th And I had to make arrangements for my car to be shipped back to Chicago. But, I said if she knew of anyone wanting to rent July 1 I would stay in a hotel . The next day she called me and said I had until the 12 th to turn in a notice I was leaving ? I asked again if anyone was interested in the unit . She changed her entire demeanor Saying she saw my ads online to do a lease talk over . She stated " you only want to do a lease takeover to get Free rent "! I'm like it was offered when I signed the lease ?! It's on your Felix website . She said you just want free rent so you can move to another apartment in Santa Rosa ??! I said my contract is ending and I'm leaving California , she knew that . I said I'll pay the three months and the next person Can have the 6 weeks free . She also said that if I found a person to takeover the lease she would have to approve them repeatedly. Well of course they would go through the usual background check etc . But she repeated that she would have to approve them so often she I was certain she would NOT approve them. She kept asking me when I would be out repeatedly ( harassing me at this point . I asked again if anyone had inquired about the unit . She's seemed pretty adamant I get out, so it was clear someone had inquired about my unit . She said No one is looking for an apartment In Summer nor does anyone want a studio ?! Even though I let her know I was leaving via email May 29 th . I send another email June 17. She then said it had to be on a move out form. And that my original email did not count. When I sent the email May 29th and asked about what was needed she never replied to the email ? In fact most emails went unanswered by Emily . I ended up paying to do a lease buy out. I basically was forced . I had a most unpleasant experience with Emily . During which she kept asking if I was turning in my keys and when I was leaving over and over . Which could be consisted a forced eviction due to her chronic harassment. After I filled out the move out slip, she immediately removed me from emails June 17. So I had no clue if the garage was being repaired or what was going on in the building anymore . She signed me up for assurant insurance even though I had renters insurance through lemonaid . I was paying double insurance ? I turned in the keys nine days early July 9 th . In less than 12 hour later she had my unit re rented just as I had predicted . Shes a mean, vindictive person ! Grey star double dipped I had to pay until July 17 th plus an extra two months to get out. God forbid she be a decent human being and say hey I have another renter and not force me to do a lease but out. I have lived at other apartment complexes that actually helped tenants that had to move for work or what not, and show their unit to help . Not Emily. I knew all along Emily had another renter lined up. Rotten, really low. I lived in the unit two months , never used the oven and only one kitchen cupboard the place was spotless . She still charged 200.00 for someone to walk in and out of the unit. There was nothing to clean. That was a light cleaning charge she said lol. Emily wants it to be a community ? No community I want to live in . You weren't even allowed to borrow a tape measure for 5 min . Couldn't borrow a step stool. Owen told me to buy My own cart to get boxes from parcel pending ? He gets points for his wardrobe other than that he was not helpful at all . A work order that took 12 days until I fixed it myself . Worst apartment complex ever. Being harassed about turning in keys Chronically. And threats of not getting any Deposit money back . Emily is an insecure , mean girl Hands down the worst Greystar experience ever.

The pool heater is broken and has been since year 2 of us being here. The past few years I have asked if it'll be fixed. I was told yes until recently when they suggested I go to a sister property to use the pool since they have no intent to fix and the pool is extra cold even during the summer. With the upstairs neighbors doing laundry at all odd times of the night and with the neighbor across the hall constantly his door when entering and exiting his apartment is so not good. Please be advised that the Management team of Kaleena and Audrey are not friendly...it's like a "fake" friendly. I am very grateful that I am moving into another community that is closer to work but are very sincere about being committed to tenant satisfaction and totally welcoming. Honestly, when I moved here ten months ago, I had a horrible feeling that I had made a mistake and now I am moving out to another community. Please be warned of this place...it's just a bad vibe; not welcoming. They are very strict on their payment methods and their so-called "convience fees" of $66.00 of every time you make a payment thru the online portal. And, if something comes up, they are extremely unwilling to let you make a payment arrangement with you. Which is their right, but we are all human beings and sometimes unfortunate things arise in our lives. Just know, if you have to make a one time agreement with them, your relationship with them immediately "changes"... Kaleena and Audrey look at you differently. So, Run from this place; don't walk!!! Our personal experience from that housing facility was awful. We lived there for 3(three) years…read more The manager, Jenna, is only good for public relations, she doesn't know how to do her job properly, and this is one of the reasons that the apartments are "overpriced huts". All the times that we had some problems, she confirmed that they would fix the problems, but in reality, they did not have done proper repairs and maintenance for the simple reason that they did not care. They are there only to collect the rent fees. The maintenance staff is quick to come "to fix any problem" but in reality, they put "band aids" so there is accumulation and increase of the problems. The apartment that we lived in, had signs of mold and silverfish, and any time that we mentioned this problem to maintenance personnel and more specifically to Jorge he said to us to clean the walls with cleaning solutions against the mold, and to throw away the silverfish from the light of the ceiling. If this is not ridiculous, disrespectful and unprofessional, the neglect of maintenance of the building is for sure. The result was two times, the dirty water from the washing machines from the apartments vertically above us to run and to fill in our apartment from the washing machine drain pipe. Water filled the floor and of course these things happened after hours, we had to wait for maintenance to arrive to do something to fix it. Meanwhile our home became flooded with dirty water. In addition, there was mold in many parts of the apartment that we were trying to clean. Both me and my wife are asthmatic, we mentioned this problem to manager Jenna, but "fall on deaf ears". The bathroom was another issue, constantly problems with the sink and the toilet. We were lucky compared to some other neighbors who had sewer back up in their apartment. As regards the external broad area of the housing community, every night there were visits of transients, dealers, and "dumpster-divers", In simple words, it is an overpriced dumpster. Stay far away and save your money.

Our worries quickly faded when we pulled into the apartments for the first time. What a beautiful complex! Flowers, plants and palm trees surround the entire complex. Frank Remeneski, Director at The Meadows is such a kind, wonderful man that truly cares about his tenants. Francisco is always so fast to answer any maintenance issues and shows up to fix the problem within 24 hours!
