Stay away if really need transportation! I reserved a ride to take me to the airport the next day at 3:45am to catch a 6am flight. Waited, called, waited, called...even the hotel called and NO ANSWER, NO SHOW! WTH! Having to catch an early flight is stress enough, but then to not have reliable transportation is even worse! You should be able to depend on a taxi service. Tried to support a small business, but thank goodness for Lyft! I wish I could give them a negative railing! RIDICULOUS! read more

Waited 45 minutes for them to attempt to fill up their shuttle. If I knew they were not going to leave in a reasonable amount of time I wouldn't of took them. Use if you just have nothing to do. I always rely on yelp. Being on vacation and completely at leisure I forgot to turn to my friends on here for a recommendation. We got off our cruise ship and wanted to grab some lunch at Grills which you can literally see from the dock. They told us $16 round trip for 3 people. Great! They told us to call 10 minutes before we needed to be picked up. Call number 1 happened and they said they would be right over. 24 minutes later. No one. We called back just to inquire. Incredibly rude and said they would be there in 10 minutes. 15 minutes later.... nothing. Called back to see what our option was because we were thinking of taking Uber. Nastiest woman on the other end who proceeded to argue with us. Total wait time: 45 minutes. If we knew that was going to be the case we would have just used Uber. Such a shame too because the actual cab drivers we had were very nice. I would recommend avoiding this company. Not worth saving a few dollars. And not worth the attitude. read more

Reserved Airport Canaveral for 8am pick up  (Port to airport) for an early flight. Got to the shuttle at 7:52am. It was overbooked. Was put on 888 Transportation shuttle, 30 mins later. We were told they shair shuttles. Waited another 25 mins for them to fill the shuttle. Avoid them and avoid Airport Canaveral unless you have plenty of time to spare. read more

Call uber if you are getting off a cruise ship. They loaded us on a 20 person van and told us it was $8 to and from Grillz bar area; we paid the guy and took off...no paper work. NO NOTHING!! The guy with the blue costa sunglasses gave us his card and said call this number to get brought back to the ship. So we call them and they charge us standards fare back to port. Ask him about it, and industrial amnesia sets in. We never do that... Lesson is, make sure you get your paper work from these guys before you step fit in their van. What an absolute joke. Looking for a cheap ride, I guess you get what you pay for but damn. Took a shuttle from Port Canaveral to Merritt Square Mall...all fine and dandy. Trying to come back to the port from the mall and what a nightmare! Their shuttles would come and go but none of them went back to the port. Finally when one "decided" that they would, they cramped all of us onto a bus. When I mean cramped, I mean it. There we're people, including myself standing in the stairwell of the bus on our trip back to the port. Wasn't even really all that hot today either but cramped in a small bus you'd think it'd at least have working AC....nope. Would highly NOT recommend. read more

The employee just kept adding people to the line in any order and had no cars coming for passengers. Fair pricing - compared to the cruise prices. They are prompt and quickly make themselves available. We decided to take them when it became apparent that Uber wasn't available. It's quite the taxi business around here. It's a tricky area to navigate but our driver knew his way around. No money exchanges hands...just a tip if you choose too. Awful customer service. If you have a big party don't waste your time or money. The lady at the booth tell me she'd get us on a taxi after I explained how big our party was and how many bags we had (family of 6 coming off of a 7 day cruise). We sat there and watched the taxi drives pass us off to take smaller groups, even a 18 seater passed us up because they'd rather have more groups in a taxi than to have one family take up the space. This went on for about an hour and when we went back to the lady at this booth she was VERY rude and became combative! We ended up grabbing a rental car from enterprise and took ourselves to our hotel. read more

Take any other mode of transportation you can. I recommend Cocoa Beach Shuttle (321) 631-4144. If I could give 0 stars to 888 Transportation, I would. My family and I had just gotten off a cruise ship and had a two-year old with us. We didn't want to ride in a shuttle without a car seat, since it would be almost a 1 hour drive to the airport and we thought that wouldn't be safe. We politely asked Jason, a rep from this company, if they had car seats. He told us they do at the office and it would take time to get here. We said that was fine since our flight wasn't until the afternoon anyway. We asked him how long and he said 10 min. We clarified "For the car seat?" And he said "No for the next shuttle -- car seat would be longer" so we asked how long it would be for the car seat again. He never actually replied to our question and got flustered about whether or not we were going to take the shuttle and then told us to go away, because "this was a business" and he wasn't going to take us anymore. He told us to get out of the way and leave... even though there was no one else there. Thankfully a very kind gentleman from Cocoa Beach Shuttle witness the whole thing and came over to help us. He was very disgruntled that the other guy would treat us that way. He called a few reps from his company until he found a car seat and got us a shuttle. He even took off before we could tip him for his kindness. It was also cheaper than 888!! We lucked out in the end not going with 888. read more

We paid $100 for 2 adults and 2 children for a round trip from Port Canaveral to Kennedy Space Center. That in itself should be reason enough to stay away... but there's more. The driver told us to call 20 minutes before we were ready to return. We called for an HOUR and their phone wasn't working. They literally stranded our family at Kennedy Space Center with no time to make alternate arrangements to return to our cruise on time. Avoid at all costs. read more

This is literally the worst company I've ever seen. As a cruise ship crew member, we have to take 888 from the port and it's so disappointing. I wasted over 2 hours of my day waiting for the shuttles. They are not worth the price and the drivers are incredibly rude and unsafe. They pack the shuttles ( even have people stand on the stairs by the door) and yell at their customers. I'm shocked they are still in business. We had a mixed experience with 888 taxi in Port Canaveral. The hotel pickup was well organized and on time. On the other hand the pickup after our cruise was a terrible experience . They had over 25 people waiting to be picked up. The employee at the cruise port had no clue how long it would be before they would send a shuttle . No complaints, other than the guy that picked up at the airport was more than a bit distracted for the first 10 minutes of the ride trying to get on the highway. Cell phone, texting etc. He even rolled down the passenger window and yelled across me, as i sat in the passenger seat, at another driver. we would recommend again, no company will be pefect. read more

I took the shuttle to the airport and had a very bad experience. First, it was running late. Second and most unprofessional was the driver wrote down several people's credit card numbers on scratch paper who didn't have enough cash on hand, then proceeded to make a call to process the transactions--reading the numbers, expiration dates, and everything in front of the entire shuttle for all to hear my and other peoples private and secure information. Very unsecured, very unprofessional, and overall a bad experience. I want my money back, and for this company to get some way to process credit cards in a way that doesn't compromise their customers. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Took this cab 3 miles from the port to the hotel and had a horrible driver named Neal. We approached with our luggage and he said "get in the cab". What, is that how you talk to people. I said way to be a aggressive. Then he called me an asshole. The other people with me said, did he just call you an asshole? Yep. Then he talked about his ex-wife on the 10 minute trip to the hotel. If I wasn't in a hurry to get out of the port, I would have gotten in a different cab. read more

This is the best taxi company I have ever used. They were readily helpful at Port Canaveral after we got off our Carnival cruise and had some hours to kill. They took us to Cocoa Beach and picked us up within 5 minutes of us calling. They also took our checked size luggage and stored it securely while we explored the coast. $20 there (a little on the higher side but well worth it for the prompt professional service and the free storage and handling of our bags). Very bad experience. We booked a round trip at the terminal when our cruise ship docked. We got to our destination ok. At the end of the day our driver did not show up at the time we pre-arranged. There were other parties from our ship who were experiencing the same issue. I called the number on the receipt to find out when our taxi would be coming several times. First we were told it would be a few minutes. Then over the next few calls I would be either put on hold and hung up on or they wouldn't even bother to pick up my call. After almost an hour of waiting we caught a LYFT and made it back just in time before the ship departed. Don't make our mistake - use someone else. read more

I parked here for a four-day cruise. Shuttle service was fine, but when I went to pick up my car, I was told that they didn't have my key. They said that I had parked and locked the car and that when they unlocked it there was no key in the car; so they couldn't move it. I kept telling them that I had left the car where instructed under the canopy and left the key in the car. I asked how they could have moved my car (now next to a fence) without a key. They were quite adamant that I had never given them a key. I finally got the owner to walk to the car with me--he was referring to the wrong car. Besides being rude and disrespectful (essentially called me a liar), it turns out that my key was attached to my windshield wiper. Anyone could have taken the key and driven my car away. When we arrived we had to wait 55 minutes for a shuttle. When we picked up the car the vehicle had two scratches on the drives and passenger doors. I spoke to supervisor Bret and he said "it was just dirt that was probably there before" and offered me a tissue to get it off. He refused to acknowledge they caused damage to the vehicle. The pick up from the Orlando airport to Quality Inn was enjoyable. The driver to the hotel and the driver to the cruise ship were jolly and informative. However when we were picked up to be taken to the airport from Port Canaveral is a totally different outcome. I travel with a mobility scooter and they were aware of this from the beginning when I booked in January and were reminded numerous times. The driver said he would get an assistant to help load my scooter and in doing so the assistant lifted it by the seat! My seat came flying off along with my charger that was in the pocket hitting the concrete. The assistant started cussing and screaming his foot was broke. He said people who own scooters should have to load them their selves. Well hello,that's what I hired this company for. My husband got off and helped load it onto the shuttle bus(he's recovering from cancer surgery), when I tell the driver your suppose to pick it up by the front and back bottom handles he said we know how we've done it before,Really. I rode with 888 Taxi on March 17, 2013. This is one the most expensive taxi companies I have EVER dealt with. The dispatch said that the driver would arrive in 15 minutes, it took the driver almost half an hour to pick me up. The driver was very quiet (which was negligible, I am a very talkative person, however I understand not everyone is) the fee started at $3.50 and went up $0.65 for every quarter mile. I traveled from Merritt Square Mall to the Denny's on A1A (6.6 miles) this ride cost me over $20 (the dispatch quoted me a price around $10). This is an outlandish price for a little over 5 miles. To top it all off the driver EXPECTED a tip (didn't ask if I'd like to tip him, he said "You gonna tip me?" I tipped $3 just out of kindness, however I felt that having not spoken to me at all the entire ride (when I was trying to converse) then do not speak up when you want a tip. I will not ride with this company again. I recommend the orange Pay What You Want vans. In addition the driver knew I was active duty military, I did not expect a discount, however some sort of military recognition would be nice. read more

No serious problems. We used the airport shuttle from the airport to hotel, and then the cruise ship to the airport. The downsides are the waiting times (waiting as long as an hour for other people to fill the shuttle), and the driver from the airport to the hotel was not the most professional. Also, the shuttles are kind of old and have issues (like the door getting stuck and annoying rattling noises from the windows). However, they were easy to find, got us where we needed at a reasonable price, and in general seemed to know what they were doing. read more

Excellent, prompt, professional, and inexpensive service in the Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral area! Used this company for transfers for a party of nine from Cocoa Beach to the cruise port and back as well as several other miscellaneous trips around the area. They were very reasonably priced (they gave us flat rates each trip) and were always prompt. The cars were very comfortable and the drivers were courteous and professional. My only regret was that we did not use this company for our airport transfers but definitely would if we ever return to Orlando/Port Canaveral. Price gauging doesn't even explain it - they lured us in with a $25 fare from Orlando airport to Cape Canaveral and then on the trip back they wanted me to pay $90 - another rider joined me on the way back and instead of splitting the fare they charged us both $90. Do not use them. We went 6.5 miles from cape canaveral to Merritt island and he charged us $30. It was a huge rip off. The taxi home was $13. We later found out that 888 is known for its price gouging. We could've rented a car for the day for what that driver charged for that one ride. The meters are under no regulation. BEWARE! read more
