Had a celebratory birthday dinner here with my sister! Joe was our server today, and he was extremely helpful and proactive! He brought us almost everything without us ever having to ask (waters, refills on the rice paper, etc). When I ordered my drink, he noticed it was my birthday while checking my ID and even said happy birthday! How sweet! The meat were very high quality! We only tried the beef brisket, beef belly, and pork belly but they were all fresh and had beautiful marbling All of the kitchen sides were wonderful too! The tofu stew was very spicy and had plenty of tofu (some places barely give one-two pieces). The steamed egg was light and fluffy. The fries were very crispy and not salty, which was perfect! For soju, the Viet coffee was pretty strong! It was really rich and creamy, which I appreciated :) Also, the restroom (at least the ladies' room, but I'm sure the men's has it too?) has a mouthwash station where you can press a button to dispense the cutest, tiniest paper cup for disposable mouthwash! So innovative! Thank you 88Q!

This place was great; I completely understand why people here love it so much. there was a line outside the door before the restaurant even opened. It was our first time, so we got the middle tier. The meats were good; and the sides were just as great. The fried mandu was crispy, the garlic noodles had good flavor and texture. I don't think any of the meats in particular stood out to me (we ordered mostly the usual beef belly, brisket, and some of the ribs), but the sides definitely enhanced the flavors. The mala spice blend and the wasabi salt in particular were amazing; the korean chimichurri added a very welcomed freshness to the meats. There were a few meats that weren't very good: pork jowl, the the picanha. The restaurant had some music playing in the background; just enough to hear it, but not so loud that you couldn't talk to the rest of your group. Service was phenomenal as well. By far, they changed the grill more often than any other kbbq spot I've ever been to. The server asked for a grill change after the first plate of meat grilling, not even the first round of meats.

Best KBBQ around! Super fast service and prices are more affordable than other places for the variety of items you can order on the menu. Prices range from $38 for the Set A to $62 for Set C (highest tier that includes seafood). I also love the soups, steamed egg, and the banchan dishes. All the dishes are fresh and delicious! The restaurant is pretty big so great for larger parties and I love how smoke-less it is so no worries about inhaling all the smoke and getting your clothes smelly. The lines can get pretty long so make sure you utilize their wait list system to eliminate long wait times.

I wanted to try a new kbbq spot so I decided to come here after seeing the diverse variety on their menu. There were different tiers that included better items, with set B being the most enticing for us. I joined the waitlist for a party of 13 & waited around 30-35 minutes before being sat at 7:30PM on a Friday night. Our server promptly greeted us and explained the menu to us. She also took our order right away & the banchan was already set up on the table. They had a good variety, ranging from cucumbers to kimchi to potato salad and even japchae. Our first round was mainly beef brisket & thin pork belly. Both of them were alright, not the best of quality but it was still delicious. The star of the show for me in the second round was their steamed egg. Next, we ordered galbi, beef tongue, & pork jowl. I was not a fan of any of these meats. Then, we tried their flat iron steak which was extremely gamey. By this point, we had almost tried everything & I was not impressed by any of the meats. Our last order was their pichana steak, which happened to be the best and my favorite meat on set B's menu. If we had tried this earlier, I would've only order this and their brisket. Overall, I would come back if I wanted to do ayce for kbbq. It is quite far from me so unless I'm extremely craving their pichana, I would make the drive for this.

88Q Korean BBQ is super popular for sure. Came here for a birthday dinner and we had to wait over an hour to get seated. The place inside is quite large with nice comfy padded booths. You cook your own meat and have exactly 90 minutes to eat some Korean BBQ. All of us had a good time here and I would say the meat was tasty. You also get dessert at the end with a scoop of ice cream.

Was super craving Korean bbq and husband found this place on yelp! Glad he did! It was absolutely delicious. We came on a Friday during lunch and were seated rather quickly. The restaurant is very clean and you don't leave here smelling like bbq which I love. Our server Nicole was great! Super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed along with plenty of grill changes. The meat quality was pretty good, we got set B which is the middle tier. Had everything we needed to satisfy our cravings, well... my craving. The only meats I didn't care for were the pork items and the prime brisket which I found pretty tough. They had a good selection for kitchen items. The spicy tofu soup was good but a bit on the oily side. We loved the kimchi fried rice and the steamed egg. Will definitely come back and recommend you give it a try!

Glad we gave this spot a try!! Might have found my new KBBQ spot. The ambiance and decor was nice and modern with the lights and humorous slogans. The quality of meat and sauces were top notch for even just getting the basic tier. Will definitely try the higher tier next time! Service was also very top notch. We never had to ask once about getting more meat, sides and grill change. They always came around every 5 mins to see if we needed anything. Bonus: they gave my toddler free fries to snack on since he wasn't doing KBBQ with us. But it did help to keep him occupied which was nice! Will come back again!

Still loving this place and service is still amazing and fast!! Great fun vibes!! I am so happy they still serve Beef Tartare!! I just love it and the food is great quality!! OH! This time I did order their Banana Milk, that I did not like, I thought they made it or something (my bad for not asking), but it just came in a small carton, like the juice box, and it tasted too sweet and banana tasted artificial, bleh...but everything else ROCKS still! And I'm still amazed that they clean the menus here which is fantastic!

Best KBB place I have ever been to!!! From OC originally an have had a lot of kbb places doe there, but nothing compares to this place. First off the vibe in here IS LITT. Music bumping, people are hyped all the time. We ordered off the b set which allowed us access to the a and b menu. Our server Joseph was able to describe why the b menu might be a better suit for us and we loved his answer. Throughout us eating Joseph and other staff members were VERY attentive. Water never ran out, sides and sauces and meat was always on the oven. Place is a HAVE TO if you're in Roland heights

Came here being part of a party of 8. Be prepared to wait if you have a big party . Some of the tables can fit 8-10,but not too many so you are going to wait unless you get lucky and come at the right time, especially on Saturday. We had to wait about an hour and some change . Customer service here is awesome and fast paced and the servers are nice , they know what they're doing. There is a bar, just in case you get thirsty while waiting for a table. The food here is good. The meat selection for Set b is wide and plenty to choose from . The quality of the meats were good especially the short ribs and brisket . Definitely a Kbbq spot I'll come back to . Just be cautious about wait times . If you are planning a dinner at 6 make sure you get here by 5, and make sure your whole party is there, especially on the weekends.

The first time I came here, I tried Set C and it was pretty good. We mainly wanted to try the sides that Set C came with (The Beef Tartare and Garlic Butter Scallops were okkk. The Seafood Pancake and Seafood Boil were good though! I just remembered that the meat quality was decent). Now, the second and third time I came here was way better than the first because the meat quality was waaayy better. We always get Set B, which i think is worth every cent!! My family always eats so much compared to their usual amount. My dad loves how they have an adjustable air vent because it sucks up majority of the smoke. The restroom is also very clean!! OKUR NOW THE SERVICE IS HOLY MOLY..EXCELLENT. On a scale of 1-10, they're 1000000. Each visit, our servers were right on it. We had Nicole, Hubert, and Nelson as our servers and they're the best. Nicole and Hubert recognized my party and I, which left us impressed by their memory since our visits were pretty spaced out. The picanha steak and the seasoned sirloin are by far our favorites!! The food always comes out very quickly as well. Anywho, this place is added to my new go to KBBQ spot in Rowland!!

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Parking: 3/5 Family friendly: 4/5 Stroller friendly: 2/5 ADA accessible: 3/5 My friend suggested 88Q for dinner on a Friday night at 6 pm. They only take reservations for parties , I think, around 20 people. Unfortunately, my whole party was not present when I showed up at 545 so the wait ended up being around 30-45 min. Once I got the food in my mouth, allbof the hangriy-ness was an afterthought. There are 3 different levels from A:$38 to B:$48 and C:$62. We stuck with menu A and it was still a great deal with prime meats. I'm sure they were previously frozen, but when the meats came out it was perfect. Although at KBBQ the protein is usually the star ingredient, the spicy tofu soup and cinnamon sugar pineapple slices stood out to cut the saltiness of the food. Service was on point but parking was meh. There's a shared parking lot and IT IS PACKED (with some people who don't know how to park their Tesla's. But thats another story on its own ). If you're in the area I would recommend this place and hope to come back sooner than later.

I came in on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm, and my first impressions walking in was the interior is clean and pleasantly warm. I ordered the creamy mala seafood pasta since it was the most unique dish on the menu. Service was good but nothing special. Creamy mala seafood pasta, 2.5/5: The pasta was inoffensively average. There were some bites that were creamy and some bites that weren't. I honestly thought it could use more cream or butter to add some more richness. The pasta itself was al dente. There wasn't much flavor overall with the dish, and the mala was very mild (for reference, I can handle medium spice levels at other restaurants). The seafood quality was okay for the price. Overall, I thought the ambiance was really nice, but the pasta I ordered was average at best. Maybe I will give this place a 2nd chance and try something else.

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. Some items were more hit-or-miss for me. The signature chicken wings came out dry & overcooked, and the chicken skin was super crispy almost like air-fried chips -- personally I prefer chicken skin freshly grilled with a softer texture. The beef tongue skewers were sliced too thin, and okra were dry. Service was understandable for how busy they were, but it could be hard to flag someone down during peak dinner time. Overall, I'd say the food quality was okay but not the best skewers I've had, especially at around $50 per person for our group. Still, it's a convenient and lively place for late-night skewer gatherings with friends if you're in the area.

Crab omelette fried rice: the best dish of the night! The crab and omelette are nicely cooked, not overly salty. The rice to egg+crab ratio is great. It is not spicy, the seasoning is just right. I highly recommend this. Mango sweet sticky rice: not bad, just alright. We think the sticky rice is too soft and soggy, not chewy enough. The coconut milk is served on the side so you can pour it based on your preference. The mango is perfectly ripened, very sweet. Tom Yum Noodle Soup with seafood: our least favorite dish. The noodle is very soggy, there's really no texture to it. I know there's the word "noodles" in their name, but we definitely do not remember this noodle option at all. The tom yum soup was not great either, the spiciness is way too strong, so you can't taste much of the sourness. The seafood variety was ok, there are shrimps, fish fillets, mussels, squid, and fish balls. The texture of the squids and fish fillets tasted a bit weird. Their service was nice though we got sorted at a corner, so we had a hard time getting the staff's attention. The restaurant has a very unique decorations. There are a lot of figurines, pictures and statues. Overall, their dishes are either really good or the complete opposite, not sure if I would want to go back again.

Since then, it's become one of our regular spots when we're craving certain dishes that are hard to find done this well. It's easily become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Our repeat favorites: beef with black bean sauce (off-menu), shredded chicken (seasoned well), crispy fish with spicy salt (crispy with a kick), typhoon pork ribs (put the seasoned crumbs on your rice - yum!), chinese broccoli with dried fish (love the stems), shrimp cakes (crispy exterior bouncy inside) and beef chow fun (tender beef and abundant noodles). Their fried dishes are light, not greasy and leftovers re-crisp in the air fryer. Their lemon tea is refreshing and comes with 1 refill. If I had to recommend just 1 dish to try it would be the shredded chicken or the typhoon pork ribs (or fish if you prefer). Or just ask the ladies for suggestions and they'll lead you the right way. Decor is clean and simple. Service is always friendly, and the food comes out fast, hot, and consistently satisfying.

We had a few selections of food and we thought it was good but not the best. We think it can be amplified more with extra salt ? Or soy sauce? The best dish was the west lake soup and the braised sauce over noodles.

We finally decided to try Jazz Cat Cafe after always seeing it and talking about trying it, and…read moreoverall it was pretty disappointing. The service itself honestly wasn't bad at all. Since it was our first time there, we asked the waitress for suggestions on what to order and even how everything worked, and she was nice and helpful throughout the visit. One thing that already started the experience off confusing was that we were only given the regular menu with the QR code. Even though the all-you-can-eat option is advertised right at the front, nobody mentioned it to us at all. We only found out because we asked about it ourselves, and then suddenly they brought out a completely separate menu for the AYCE option. After trying it, I definitely don't think it was worth $40 per person. Another frustrating part was how ordering worked. There were three of us doing AYCE, and we asked for three different meats thinking we'd each try different items. Instead, they brought out three full orders of every single meat we mentioned without clarifying first. That immediately created pressure to finish everything because with AYCE you can get charged extra for leftovers. I really think they should ask customers if they mean one order of each item for the table or multiples of every item before bringing that much food out, especially for first-time customers. We tried the chicken, premium angus beef, and lamb. The chicken honestly had almost no flavor at all and felt pointless to even eat. The premium angus beef was decent, and the lamb was probably the best out of the three, but overall everything was still very bland. I don't eat pork, so we went with one of the vegetarian water-based broths since most of the others are pork based, and unfortunately that broth also tasted extremely plain. The sauces also didn't help much. Most of them had a really strong peanut flavor, and only one of the sauces was even decent, but it was still pretty bland overall. I honestly don't even know what any of them were because they just brought out multiple sauces without really explaining them to us. We even asked what we could add to spice things up and were given chili sauce, but somehow it still barely made a difference. I really wanted to like this place too because the food honestly looked great when it came out, but the flavor just didn't match the presentation at all. Their soda machine was also down during our visit, so there were no sodas available. On top of that, the table we were seated at felt really cramped and pushed right against the wall, which made eating uncomfortable. The restroom was another issue. When I went in, it was dirty enough that I had to clean up after someone else just to use it. The only real positive was that the all-you-can-eat option definitely filled us up, so we at least didn't leave hungry. I just wish the food had more flavor and spice because based on the pictures and the way people talk about this place, I expected a lot better.
