I've never had a flight where I've liked every single beer. I had the valley girl blonde(blonde ale), el jefe(wheat) , impregnator(bock) and Chatsworth after dark (porter). I didn't try the IPA but my boyfriend said it was great, he had the first stage IPA. This place is like a hidden gem, i almost wanted to keep it to myself but they are THAT good that i couldn't help but boast about my experience. Attentive and friendly staff, clean establishment. Taco bar as we walked in so it had to be good! We ordered Matador Red & Good Day IPA. Both excellent but probably the best red I've ever tasted. Then they announce there's a brewery tour.. sign me up! Daniel & Josh were so knowledgeable and open to questions & excited to explain the entire process of beer making. I tasted all 10 brews they currently had on tap, and I was so impressed! My top 2 were the Reseda Rye (I purchased a 64 oz growler) and the Valley Girl Blonde (one of the ones they sell in bottles) everything else I tasted was great though, even the stout, which I don't typically go for. They have a great atmosphere and are dog friendly, with peanuts and darts. I'd compare it to drinking in a friend's garage, which is exactly what I like when it comes to breweries. The regulars that were in there were talkative and nice, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. If I lived closer I would come back for sure. read more

Finally an awesome brewery in the valley. Great people, great beer, great vibe, and it's very close to my workplace. It's an independent microbrewery. Love supporting small business. No Anheuser Busch, Constellation, or any corporation. I love that they got complimentary peanuts that goes well with the beer. I love their Good Day IPA and their Gravity Hill. Very rude service. Me and a friend came in on a slow night. The staff was cleaning up the bar an hour before closing time. So it smelled like Fabuloso while we were drinking our beer. At least wait till people aren't around before you start cleaning. read more

I genuinely can't tell you how many breweries I've been to in California, out of state, in Mexico and Costa Rica. I've been to so many places and even though I don't make the beer here, I'm proud to say that 818 is the local brewery in the area because out of the several places I've been to, 818 stands strong as one of the best breweries I've been to. Why I love this place so much is because of literally everything that I enjoy about breweries. I love that it's a nice place to bring food, talk, play games, or watch the Rams/Clippers/LAFC. Their beer selection is always on point, I think they have a good variety of styles. I'm a huge fan of Imperials, Hazy and Double IPA beers. Their Double Tropix and Gravity Hill are sooooooo good!!! Literally every choice is good in all honesty! If you're looking for a good brewery in Canoga Park, this is the spot to check out! The only reason why I was being hesitant of writing a review is because I'm selfish and know that positive reviews bring in more people, which will have me waiting in a long line for my beer. Brenna was great and walked me through all their options, rare for me to find a brewery where over 3/4 of the offering suits my palate, but they have one of just about everything so there's enough variety to suits most palates :) happy to have a local brewery to support again! Hands down, one of the best breweries I've been to! The staff is consistently warm, welcoming, and truly make their guests feel at home. I can see they really enjoy their work. The brewery offers a different feature every day of the week - like a brewery tour or food trucks. Of course, the best part... the beer! I've never been a big IPA fan, but their Scorched Earth is absolutely heavenly. It's about time there is a local brewery in Canoga Park. It's a very laid back environment, with a handful of options for beer. Would be preferred to have more than one blonde ale choice, but if that's not your style this is your place. They also allow you to bring in outside food which is an added perk since food isn't sold in house. read more
