I'm telling you. This is not your ordinary local pub. Gastronomically, Gorgeous. I could only decide (because there were ingenious choices) when our bar server, Hannah, suggested "Sweet Heat." Listed under "Pinsa Flat Bread" it came out 12"x6" thick bread perfectly browned in oven with gooey garlic/mozzarella but, wait, caramelized onions, thick-diced grilled chicken that tasted like bacon. Every two or three inches, one pickled jalapeño perfectly placed for heat that didn't burn, and over it all, drizzled HOT HONEY!!! My mouth was ecstatic. Pretty soon I couldn't wait to cut with my fork and knife to have my third and fourth triangled piece. Sitting, leaning over the high long bar, I just held the sticky, sweet cheesy spicy bread with all ten fingers tipping my head to catch the drips. Passion Orange Guava Cider washed it all down. I made a trip to the restroom and wash my hands then stopped at the kitchen window to rave about the menu with Clayton, the cook. The beer battered fries were dope, but the "add garlic" feature would be better if the garlic was quickly sautéed in oil and then tossed with the fries to spread the glory evenly. I thought the burger had some great flavors, but the patty was a touch overcooked, and the mushrooms and swiss cheese were a bit anemic. Overall, I'd highly recommend this spot and with a few tweaks there'd be a fifth star. I plan to return next time I'm in the area! read more

We stopped in here on a road trip after seeing the menu and positive reviews here on Yelp. We had our 10 and 13 year old with us and had to leave since this place is 21 and over. Food may be good but we'll never know. This is not a good place to stop if you have anyone under 21 with you. Friendly service. Great prices and portions are not too large or too small. Just right. The Stiffy has tender pieces of pot roast with a wonderful gravy. I recommend ordering it with the fries. Love, gravy and fries. Would recommend some mushrooms, onions and carrots with the meat. The house made cod fish and chips were crispy and perfectly light and flaky. I highly recommend this pub. I visited here with a client and we pretty much were able to sit anywhere since it was an off hour during the week. We ordered the fish and chips and black and blue. My client loved his fish n chips. I don't like blue cheese but wanted something semi healthy and they ended up putting the crumbles on the side anyway. Even though the menu says it comes with blue cheese dressing the waitress asked me what type I wanted and I didn't choose blue cheese. The "new" pizza. They need to go back to the old crust. The sause tastes like cheap canned sauce. The size of the pizza is so small there were 5 small pieces for $16 its so small it slides around in the box. It's advertised as a flat bread pizza bit its thick. Extremely disappointed. I love Taverns and small bars just due to the small fact that they are usually a local favorite. I read the reviews and after a few hours clam digging my friend and I stopped here for a bite before heading home. Now, the server was slow and it took awhile to order drinks, then food, and then get boxes and the check. To her credit, she seemed to be the only server. The food was meh. I got a burger and the bun was solid. The rest of it was good though and the fries were my favorite! I probably will not be back but that's only because I don't really live close enough to go there more than once. read more

We love this place so much. Every time we take a road trip that is close to here, we would stop by and get something to eat. Last time we were here was before COVID. It felt like a really long time ago. We were curious if this place changed due to COVID. Tbh, the servers were not the same as before. We did enjoy the conversations with the servers who worked here before. Although a little disappointed at the change of staff, the food was absolutely amazing. i was shocked at how great the food was at this sort of middle of nowhere gem! we were on our way back to seattle from Westport and needed a place to stop. we got the brussel sprouts which were unbelievably crispy with just the right amount of balsamic (i'm a balsamic hater and too much makes me gag but they had the exact amount). the mac and cheese was AMAZING. the jalapeno corn chowder is a MUST when you come here, but it does have bacon in it so not veggie friendly. we were hoping to get the hot honey chicken flatbread but they weren't making it the day we went.
