Laundry. UGH. just thinking about the mound of clothes stresses me out... Finding a reliable, trustworthy and reasonably priced cleaner in this city is hard to find. After searching far and wide, I've found such the place. Being only 2 blocks away is very convenient! They have great hours, 730am-7pm and their rates are competitive to others in the area who don't do as good of a job. They do free pick-up & delivery for both dry cleaning and regular laundry (depending on distance). I've been going here for more than a year but no longer. Price and wash quality have been OK and it's the most convenient cleaners for me. However, they have been consistently closing early (30 minutes or more before their posted times). I have to leave work early to make it there before they close, so it's especially frustrating when I get there with plenty of time to spare and they've already locked up. My boyfriend and his family has sent their dry cleaning to these folks for a very long time now. Lets ballpark it to a round 10 years or so, plus or minus. Amsterdam cleaners is extremely affordable: 5 sweaters, roughly $20. I've sent over my dress to be re-hemmed. While a hemming is pretty simple, I'd like to put it out there that it was done, perfectly at the length I want it and neatness. I plan on sending over my dresses to be restructured into skirts within the week. They deliver within reasonable distances. Turn-around-time is quick ;) random: 1) they're dog friendly! Our 5 year old boxer pup is always welcome here: rain, shine, snow and is offered a milkbone treat from behind the counter. 2) they're Korean-owned. Trusty businesses are hard to pass up. read more

This place is great! I lived in the area for a year, chose it because of Yelp reviews and was not disappointed so paying it forward! Owner remembered me each time I came in (made me feel like my own local spot), delivered on time every time and I never had a problem with a shirt (and when I did, they happily redid it). There were times when I didn't have any money and she allowed me to pay next time, which was a great little show of trust and that neighborhood quality. Go with this place for sure! read more

I'd chosen this cleaner based on great yelp reviews when I moved to the UWS last fall. I waited until now to leave my own rave review because they just proved their prowess in the cleaning department. I brought to them one of my favorite silk skirt...white, silk..which had a giant orange grease stain (my ancho chile short ribs are delicious but don't go well with silk). I was sure they'd never salvage the skirt, but 2 days later, it comes back to me, good as new. read more

This place is terrible. The consistently burn and rip my shirts, and then when asked about it and presented with evidence, the owner tells me that I'm the only one complaining. Her lack of customer service and lack of caring has lost her a customer, and anyone who does a fair amount of laundry and pressing for dress shirts should stay away as well. read more

I have given them a chance so many times. Took my Canada goose coat to be dry cleaned and they ruined it. They tried to tell me the stains they created were probably already there. When I threatened to take them to small claims court they agreed to give me $500 for the coat (granted the same coat new was $975). I've had smaller issues with them before but never anything like this. Beware, especially with something expensive. read more

They are not closed. This cleaner is only cleaner that you want to go in NYC. Lots NYC celebs in that area including Tim Gunn are regular customer in this place and they are really great and how to take care of your cloth. Family and pet friendly and even if you are not customer you can stop by and get your companion's snack. Very considerate and respect customer. read more

Best dry cleaning, wash and fold, and service in the city. They do same day wash and fold with pick up and delivery. Their prices are super reasonable. And they go out of their way to pick up or deliver at a convenient time. The clothes smell and look wonderful after cleaning. I have nothing but good things to say. read more

I live only 13 blocks away. I asked for pick up and delivery, and was told that they would not allow their driver to go this far! WTF?

They made a mistake early in our dry cleaning relationship, fatally ripping one of our shirts. To their credit, they attached a handwritten describing the mistake and promising us fair compensation (which they provided). I'm going to send a few more items their way and see what happens. read more

Was going here for years. Even brought them baked goods that I made. Recently brought a new dress in and when I picked it up it had a brand new stain! They redid it 2 more times and the stain is still there! I did not even receive an acknowledgment from her! I shouldn't have paid but I did. They've lost a loyal customer! read more

Great place for wash and fold. A little more expensive than some of the other places in the UWS but they always get everything right.

Very nice and accommodating. I had mixed fabric wash n fold, needed a few item washed separately, others needed to be hung and air dried. Not a problem. All came back perfect. Reasonably priced too. I wasn't. Charged for these extra services. read more

Yesterday I received 3 laundered shirts, all of which were torn by the collar. They were not torn previously. The owner, Danielle Lee, stated that there was nothing she could or would do about it, and this was a risk of the process. Consumer beware!!! read more
