The crew did an excellent job screening all the openings but I have not received any info from the company for rebates we are eligible for. The crew was fairly clean with the work too. I feel the price was fair but I'm not noticing a difference in the temperature of our home. I was hoping it would be cooler since all the insulation people said it would make a difference. Very happy to do business again with 911 Attic Insulation. They did my San Gabriel home last year. It's simply not just adding R-38 insulation, we had the old dirty ineffective insulation replaced. The crew was massive, first installing protective coverings over furniture, the carpet, and making a plastic sheet tunnel to the attic entrance. I was impress with their respect for our home, leaving near zero mess behind after they were done! It's a program you buy into, for my needs bagging the old insulation, and vacuuming the entire attic clean, removing and dead rats, birds and nasty rodent poop! Sanitizing the entire attic especially where there was dead creatures and their droppings. Then they air sealed ( injected foam) any gaps and openings around pipes, celing junction boxes and vent pipes. After that they screened any openings to prevent rodents or mice from making your acttic their home. We added the radiant barrier feature which reflects radiant heat back out through the roof making the house noticeably cooler in hot weather. After all that was done R38 insulation was installed between the joist and tucked into the crevices. A part of their work is going under your house and clean, sanatize and screen the vent openings. That was our house last year, today we invited them back and did my mother in-laws house. I can't say enough how good these guys are! Much later I contacted them again and asked how much installing new air ducts would also be--and in all instances they were super responsive and consistent in communication and pricing. We finally agreed to get our insulation/air ducts installed and Joe's crew worked their tail off prepping the house with plastic, cleaning the attic, getting the job done. We can feel an immediate difference with the HVAC and we are much happier now! On a side note I wrote a check for the invoice, but asked Joe to hold it as I had applied for a new credit card and wanted to charge the amount to activate the points bonus. Joe kept the check for several days without issue, and only cashed it after I said it was ok and relayed to him that the credit card would take longer to process. My house has been on the cold side the last few months and I was looking at ways to further insulate my house to keep the temperature somewhat constant. I got quotes from several companies, and 911 Attic, surprisingly, was ready to come out and do an inspection on a Sun! Jack came out to scope the work, and he was extremely honest and not pushy. He suggested that we start with the crawlspace insulation (our floors are extremely cold and I was worried there was an air leak coming from the crawl space) and if I needed to do the walls, that it could be done after. After getting quotes from other companies, 911 Attic was the most reasonable, so I went with them. The guys came out to do the work on the scheduled date/time and went straight to work. It took a good amount of the day and they did a very clean job with the insulation installation. After they were done, I made my payment over phone with Joe and he checked to make sure everything went as planned with the insulation. Fast forward another week, I asked Joe, the owner, if they did air leak tests. Though they didn't do that, he offered to come out and inspect my situation to see if he could help, which I certainly appreciated. Check their work definitely don't have them change any ducks, unless you want to call HVAC's and quadruple if not raise your price even more. Here's our story, Called and spoke to 911 Attic Insulation as we needed some insulation and radiant barrier, also found out they actually were to change and replace ducts. I confirmed with Joe the owner they knew what they were doing with ducts that they measured airflow, which he assured me they have multiple license including general contracting "so they know what they are doing" and they can put holes anywhere we need to and they know what they're doing is this is their profession and job. They gave me all the rigmarole of where a small family business we take care of our Customer really enjoyed Tom because he said we didn't need insulation as there was some already in there. Flash forward we had them change the ducts but the HVAC didn't show to confirm their changes. Immediately upon completion we realize that we lost airflow to all the bedrooms (2 baby's under 3 and the master room 95 at 9 at night). Joe said they would return the next day and fix but to pay tonight!! Next morning in the attic I discovered, main line was split it three ways didn't have any type of reducer or regulator or manual damper even though Joe insisted he would be adding it the next morning to regulate the air and return our flow to normal. Joe comes over two days later and says he will no longer bring his HVAC guy and blames me for not having mine although mine confirmed we could add two registers. The issue comes into the size of the lines in the configuration the gentleman did when replacing the lines in the attic. Down additional $150 were forced to call another HVAC to drag your plans which she refuses after fighting with me for three hours including the HVAC guy that were all lying to him. By the way the HVAC was a third-party never met him hired him at day. Mind you it's 100+ outside. Bottomline Joe refused to fix their work even after hiring 3rd party and we did not pay except with thousands to repair the ducts they destroyed by installing incorrectly fro the previous run. They do not replace any existing equipment and don't seal ducts. I found holes in main lines and air escaping right after entering the attic. He keeps using the line I'm a good guy, but good guys do what they say and don't leave 1 year olds in 95 degree rooms for 10 days with nothing but excuses!! Thanks Joe!! FYI all ducts they ran were super small causing loss of airflow! With dumps and redoing lines properly with extra equipment the house is up and running but no Thanks to Joe and Team Very disappointed. read more
