I was treated with respect and they were very responsive. They listened to what we wanted to have done (oddly enough, most of the other places didn't!). And they did everything exactly the way we wanted. They finished faster than they said they would have it done and they were $900 less than other places we went to. (Probably because they actually listened to what we wanted!) They tried to problem solve and think through things instead of jumping to the easiest solution. We walked away feeling very confident that we were dealing with professionals and experts in their field. Customer service was excellent! We really enjoyed working with them and will be back if we have any other needs! We are very pleased with the work they did!

Once the install was completed (in the time quoted) both the young woman managing the office and the young man who completed the installation walked me through setting up the connection with my iPhone, making sure I was ready to use it, before I checked out and paid (and the cost was at the lower end of what UNAVI lists as average for professional installation). Since then it has worked beautifully (I'm thrilled to have my music and maps set up in a hands free voice prompted system again). I received a message at 1:57pm, inquiring if I left my key. I responded yes, then I attempted several phone calls. I received no response. I Uber back to shop at 4pm, only to see my vehicle parked where I left it. I was told the reason my car was not worked is because the key was lost. I explained to person, I thought was a technician to learn now this the owner, the lost key is my only key. After waiting at least 30 minutes, the owner told me my key was located. This was a horrible experience!

I came to Radio-Active to fix a poorly-done previous attempt at upgrading the sound in my 2014 Corvette. You'll speak with the owner, Ash, first. He takes the time to listen to your objectives, talk about your budget, and understand your preferences. He'll offer suggestions and make sure you understand where you have price/performance options. We ended up special ordering a pair of mini-amplifiers and customizing a storage cubby in the trunk to create a "stealth" upgrade that didn't use up cargo space. During the installation, Ash called me to let me know about progress and to give me some further options after they had pulled off panels and seen some damage done by the previous installer. He emailed pictures so I could follow along. There was no "hard sell" attempt to urge additional purchases, but I decided to replace the damaged speakers as part of the project. They asked me to come in and sit in the car for final tuning by ear. I was able to get the frequencies fine-tuned to match my preferences and hearing response. I was impressed to see that they had applied protective film around all exterior panels where they might lean while working, and that they had the driver's seat well protected as well. When I was satisfied with the sound, they locked in the tuning on their computerized application and sent me on my way feeling well cared for, with a significant improvement in the sound and complete faith that the installation was done professionally and with attention to every detail. He did an amazing job modifying the dashboard to accommodate the new head until. Last week we had new radio installed on my son's 2015 Toyota Tacoma. The stock radio in it was awful and an upgrade was needed. Again, John did really great work. He gave us solid recommendations and kept us within the price point we were budgeted for. My first visit was an inquiry and he shared several different priced systems he had in stock. He was perfectly willing to install a system if I could find what he had stocked cheaper online, which I did only because it was Black Friday. He explained everything I would potentially need and the price for each item so there wouldn't be any surprises. He was willing to text back and forth with me and weigh in on a system I found online to make sure it fit all the specs. I finally brought the system and my car in about 8 months later without an appointment. He again gave me quotes for different scenarios, let me know I might need other components since I have an older model vehicle. I have two speakers that need replacing (slight scratchiness). He quoted me for speakers and offered a discount. I agreed to do the speakers only if I didn't need the additional component. He installed the system immediately, was done in under an hour, and did not install the additional component because it was not needed. He also knew I was waffling on spending on the speakers, so he did not install them because he said they still had some life left in them. He could easily have made several more hundred dollars. I brought the car back a couple of days later because my Siri's voice on Maps would cut off just slightly before directions were finished. I was confident this was not an issue with the installation, but with my phone or they system. Oscar did not hesitate to do a few experiments and even agreed to ride around the neighborhood to see what happens. He patiently took the time to teach me how to navigate the system and my phone, which he did not have to do. I offered to buy him a pastry or drink from El Superior for his attentiveness and time helping me out, but he didn't take me up on it. (Bonus! El Superior is two doors down and you can go there for lunch or an awesome dessert while you wait). Oscar's English may sometimes be a little hard to understand, but he was always willing to repeat himself if I asked. He has a helper named Alex, who was very communicative, helpful and willing to provide additional explanations or clarifications when I needed it.
