Definitely recommend for those who want to try some authentic Korean style chicken dishes, service was fast and food was hot and delicious with large portions. We took our left overs home and they were just as good the next day. Service was super friendly as well. Orders are placed on the kiosk and their menu is extensive so it can be a little overwhelming, however you have the option to have all sauces on the side which is always appreciated too. Great chicken spot located in Downtown Richmond. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself was really clean and you order off a kiosk which I found to be helpful since they have so many menu options![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ended up ordering the Chicken and Waffles with a side of their honey mustard. The chicken was fresh, crispy and very juicy. The waffles were delicious, had a nice crisp exterior with a soft inside. My partner had the chicken sando box with curry hot sauce. The Chicken Sandwich was humongous! His chicken patty barely fit between the two buns. We joked how we could've shared since it was practically two sandwiches in one. The portions were really large for one person. The cashier was also very nice and we got to try a mochi donut along with our meals. Which had that fun chewy texture associated with mochi. I also ordered a fresh strawberry tea to enjoy with my meal which was delicious, perfect amount of sweetness and had a realistic strawberry flavor. I've had visited this place a twice and usually go for the tenders combo which comes with seasoned waffle fries with a sauce of your choice. Personally it's a hit or miss as the tenders sometimes have a rubbery texture that I'm not really a fan of , but their soy garlic sauce with the chicken is honestly heaven. I also enjoy their selection of fresh teas and I love adding rainbow jelly to it. The employees make the environment very welcoming and I've never seen them with a negative attitude. If i'm ever in the mood for that sauce again, I would reconsider visiting a third time. read more

I've been wanting to visit this 92Chicken forever and am so happy my friend and I finally checked it out on Friday. ***LOCATION*** This 92Chicken is located in Jackson Ward on Broad and Jefferson. There is plenty of free street parking nearby. If you can't find a spot on Broad, there are lots of spots on Marshall st. You can also take the Pulse or bike here. ***EXPERIENCE*** We came on a Friday evening around dinner time. It wasn't too busy. We ordered our food on a screen and were handed a buzzer for when our food was ready. Their box meals are incredible deals. They come with plenty of food, fries, and a drink. They have options that are just the chicken, but the box meals are too good to pass. I adore Korean fried chicken so was familiar with the flavors. I got one of my faves, honey garlic. I ordered the nugget box meal and was so happy with how crunchy, fresh, and tasty it was. The fries were great too. My friend got the chicken sando box meal and it was HUGE! It was cooked to perfection. He found it to be a bit plain, but the sauce he got on the side really elevated it and he adored the dish. There are a lot of seating options available. We got a nice seat by the window which was perfect for people watching. The people who work here are super kind and lovely. ***PRICE*** My meal was about $16 with tip/tax. And this was a lot of food. ***BATHROOM*** There is a single gender neutral bathroom available for customers. You have to ask for a key to use it. ***CONCLUSION*** If you're craving fresh and delicious Korean fried chicken with tons of sauce options, I highly recommend checking out 92Chicken. This is a new restaurant in Jackson Ward and I was excited to try it. The restaurant was really clean and the service was polite. I asked a few questions and the older lady went and got who I presume to be her husband to help me further. I ended up ordering at one of the kiosks. While I waited, I went to the bathroom and it was clean. The bathroom key was HILARIOUS. I got the spicy garlic flavor, but they have a ton of options for sauces as well as chicken type (half, whole, tenders, wings, nuggets, strips). The wings are HUGE. There were moments where I was on the fence about whether they were cooked through enough, but I just rollled with it because they tasted good. This is not the best Korean Fried Chicken I've ever had, but I'd return. It's on the expensive side though. Each wing is nearly $2. As a transplant from Atlanta that's crazy. read more

Didn't expect too much from Korean Fried Chicken in downtown Richmond, but it was actually overall pretty decent! We got 3 halves which was pretty okay for 3 people. Red Hot Pepper chicken tasted very good, and was about as spicy as a "medium" at an average spicy chicken restaurant. Soy Garlic Spring Onion was probably our favorite one. When you get a bite of the chicken with the spring onion? Tastes PRETTY darn good. Original - probably the least favorite since it was somewhat dry, and the breading to meat ratio was not as good as the other chickens we got. And the flavor was not very strong. First day, I think I was one of the first customers. The person behind the counter and cook, were both very friendly. I suspect they are the owners. There are multiple flavors / sauces with the chicken. I also believe it's offered in different forms, nuggets, fingers, drum sticks, or full chicken. I normally don't order fast food, especially fried fast food, but given that, this was tasty. I liked the sweet and spicy Yangyeom sauce. The Waffle French fries were good. On my last night in Richmond, I stopped by this place to try their chicken wings. It was not very busy but there is a bit of a wait since the wings are made to order. Saw a new Korean fried chicken place opened and decided to try!! The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. I think with the amount of chicken you get, the price is definitely reasonable. Also, you get pickled radish on the side. The owners were super sweet. You order on a kiosk and the order came out really quick. It is located on broad street so relatively close to VCU campus. The place is new so it is very clean inside. I hope to go back to try more chicken and also all the different sauces as well! read more

Really good chicken place! The chicken was really juicy and fresh. Every piece was crispy! We chose to get the Yangyeom sauce on the side! It was a 10/10 on sauce, pretty spicy but flavorful! Every item on their menu is packed with flavor and made with care. The chicken was incredibly juicy and fried to crispy perfection. The spring onions were fresh, donuts were soft and chewy on the inside with a crunchy coating. I was looking for a breakfast spot and it turned out to be such a blessing. I had an omelette with a caramel macchiato, and I highly recommend the macchiato. The omelette had a good portion size and exceeded all expectations. They had a signature sauce that was tastey. I love the employee working there, she's a truly sweet person. Everything we orders were amazingly delicious. I wasn't able to take some photos of the foods because my family ate them so fast. Chickens were freshly cooked i can say not like other chicken that was like just reheated. The spicy soy garlic was amazing not overwhelmingly spicy. Okay hear me out I like this place but it's definitely a preferred taste. They put some kind of sweet cinnamon taste to the sauce and I'm not the biggest fan. I also feel like they are very stingy with the amount of sauce they put on the wings and tenders I like it to be DRENCHED. They give you A LOT of food with your order so definitely worth the price!!! read more

I decided to try it out because I noticed this place was new and I haven't had korean fried chicken in a while. I do have to say that I was highly satisfied. I placed my order online and it wasn't far away from where I was driving, so quick is definitely one of the first things I'd like to say. The sauce is a delicious glaze that is poured on the nuggets, the fries are perfectly crisp, and the rice tastes and smells amazing. I got the two wing box: one soy garlic and one yangyeom. I didn't end up getting the soy garlic wings, instead I received the original even though I paid for the upcharge. They were pretty generous with the portion size and the wings were pretty decent size. The only thing was the flavor of the wings. The wing was SOOOO salty! I chugged down three bottles of water for one single wing and the salty flavor was still stuck in my mouth. An undiscovered gem downtown! The chicken is the star, but it can be tough to choose between the many sauces and options of platters, sandwiches and combos. this place was absolutely amazing!! me and my friends were walking by as they opened and were beckoned inside by a very nice lady and we figured why the heck not, let's try it. and i'm glad we did because it was sooooo goood. super crispy breading, fresh juicy chicken wings, and delicious sweet and spicy yangyeom sauce (and if you're averse to spice don't worry, it's not very spicy). the service was fantastic, the older lady behind the counter helped us order and gave us recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]there's a key to a gender neutral restroom which is very clean and mostly touch-less as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] impeccable service as well, the lady came by to offer us extra paper plates since we were sharing and also the wings also comes with disposable gloves so you don't get sauce on your hands! plus a side of sweet pickled radish which compliments the savory fried chicken nicely.
