Overall my experience was great, but not because of the waitresses and drinks we had but because I had fun with the people I was with. We went there on a wednesday night, so we knew it would be dead. The music was rap/hip-hop all night (not too loud though, we could here each others fine). There is about 5 TV screens surrounding the bar, all with different channels on (news, sports...). The waitress was pleasant. I had bought a yelp deal $10 for $20. The waitress first took off $10 of the bill and I had to explain to her that I had already paid $10 to yelp and she should take off $20 (like it says on the voucher). It took her a while to get it. Like I said, of you are with good friends, just looking for a place to grab a drink, and you already in the area, then you'll be fine. This is a neighborhood pub/bar/restaurant. The food isn't fancy, but it is good. It is a regular hangout for quite a number of patrons, but even if you go there infrequently, if you get the same bartender a few times, they will remember your name. I know we are in times of COVID, which is hard on bars and restaurants and we will always respect each establishment's rules. I must say, 92nd Street is a neighborhood restaurant that we frequent often, before and during COVID. The last three weekends we have been there on a Friday night for a few drinks. The first time, things were "okay." The second Friday night we were there, the owner's daughter was beyond rude. We are respecting and abiding by ALL COVID-19 rules (wearing a mask, sitting at a table, social distancing and anything an establishment wants us to do.) We waited at the front door for a table because the sign said "Wait to be Seated." So we waited 5ish minutes for someone to seat us. Nobody came to seat us so we walked up to the bar to order a drink. Nicole walked up to us and yelled at us to sit at a table and pointed to the sign that said "Please wait to be seated." We responded by saying that nobody came to greet us or seat us and after 5 minutes of waiting, we went to the bar to order a drink. Once we had our drinks and we were sat at a table, we realized that we weren't greeted at the front door because Nicole, who is either working or not working, still not really sure what her role is. She was drinking and smoking on the patio the entire time we were there. The second time we went into 92nd, we experienced the same exact situation with Nicole. She was extremely rude and disrespectful to her customers. We are disappointed in her management and behavior. We are so happy with the changes Ed has made to the restaurant and truly enjoy it but we can't support the nasty behavior by Nicole. We like to support our local bars/restaurants. Drinking and smoking on the patio while regulating customers just doesn't work for the business. With all of that being said, Brittany, Steven and Austin provide the best customer service and we greatly appreciate them! They are the reason we have gone back! read more

I went to this bar for the first time as that woman Shirl did. We had wildly different experiences. Shirl forgot to mention that she was the one ripped up the restaurants MENU and threw them on the ground, like a child. She also failed to mention that she did not use the bathroom because the manager asked her to leave since she was a drunk, rude, insensitive a**hole, who was asked multiple times to leave the bar and would not leave, instead mocked the bar owner and continued to complain about the service. Shirl was maybe in the bar for 30 minutes before the cops had to be threatened to be called to get her to leave. My opinion of the bar is that it's a nice local joint, the bar owner was behind the bar pouring drinks and helping out. The atmosphere was great until Shirl came, but 92 handled the situation as best the could considering Shirl was a drunk, combative 70 year old child. The food was great, drinks were strong, the bar was clean. We got there during happy hour and I was very pleased with how affordable they are. The pretzel and beer cheese was amazing! Servings are huge. There are a lot of regulars which tells me that they're doing something right. I felt super welcomed and genuinely enjoyed my time at 92. This place use to be a gold mine. New owners need to be concerned with who is in charge of management in the late evenings. Absolutely despicable and unprofessional. Came in last week to a fairly quiet bar that took a server and a bartender to look at us and completely ignore my wife and I. Bartender finally asked what we wanted after roughly 10min, with no "be right with you" or anything of the nature. Food is as decent as it use to be. Crowd is fun when we come in, until the couple next to us once had tried playing music on the jukebox and I assume the manager or whoever was in charge of "music duty" kept changing their songs due to the fact "she didn't like it". I'm assuming drinking and still trying to run a business is a great way to expel customers and keep them from feeling welcome. Probably wont give this place another chance considering the circumstances of events. read more

Boo. This will probably be the shortest review ever. Walked in. Sat down. We were not greeted. No one asked what we wanted to drink. Everyone was staring so...eventually we got up and walked out. As we walked I said...."Guess we weren't meant to be greeted." Then one waitress said "I can help you." By then, it was too late and we were out of the door. After weeks of seeing the "Friday fish fry" sign out front, I finally visited the place on Friday, September 16. I was seated, and the waitress who took my order explained that it was the all-you-can-eat fish fry night, and did I want that? I said I did. They brought out the clam chowder soup. A male employee came out and asked me how the soup was. I replied that it was fine. Then they brought out the plate of fish, French fries, and cole slaw. The same male employee came out and asked me how the fish was. I told him it was fine. When I finished the fish, the male employee came out, took away my dishes, and handed me a bill. In an "all you can eat fish fry" aren't they supposed to ask you if you want more fish? Actually, I was thinking of having more fish, but with the abruptness of the male employee's action, I decided not to ask. I suppose the sign outside, and waitress' remark about all-you-can-eat fish fry is just a come on to get people inside the door. Most places, even without all-you-can-eat, will ask you if you want anything else, before they scoop up the dishes and hand you a bill. I was disappointed. We drove over with out of town company for their Friday fish fry. Must try...the fish was outstanding, just like we had heard. The perfect surprise, is that everything else on the menu is fantastic too! BBQ burger, awesome! The sampler app, delish! You have to try the double dipped wings. Loved them so much we almost skipped the fish to just eat wings! (We couldn't of course, but almost!) Clam chowder, the best we have found outside of Boston! We will for sure be back! read more

If you are looking for a casual, low-key, taverny kind of place this would be it. Food is better than bar food and the servings are big enough to share. Been here a couple of times with friends from Chicago and they know the bartender and manager very well from years of making this one of "their" places. The crowd is a mix, but more often older patrons. The service is spotty, but if the one you get knows you from coming in, the service is much better. Really bad burger; dry and tasteless. My wife had the 92 st burger; I had the mushroom with Swiss cheese. We asked the waitress how they do a medium; she said pink inside. What we both got was overcooked (not a hint of pink) and had no flavor. Fries were bland as well. We left half the burger and most of the fries uneaten. I've had other menu items as well and they are also well prepared and a pleasure. However, their Monte Cristo is why I mostly visit. Came here for a late lunch. I had the mushroom burger with a veggie patty substituted. It was on par with most other veggie patties at restaurants, dry with little taste. The veggies on it were really good. I can't fault 92nd for what the trend is amongst most restaurants. My friend's burger, she said, was overcooked and burned. She asked for medium well. She has a tendency to not say anything at restaurants, so if the employees are reading this, no worries. You could not have known. I might be back for the karaoke and pool table, since there was a cool vibe. I won't be back for the food. The service was great! Let me start off by saying that the ONLY reason we went here was to be in a dive bar that wasn't too far from home. I wanted a divey place, without the North Scottsdale douche feel. Got here super early, like at 7:00 and left sometime after midnight. The waitress was THE BOMB!!! She was super on top of everything. Water never got low, drinks never got low, she was friendly without being annoying. Couldn't have asked for better service. Did order some appetizers, and they were all typical bar food. Nothing really stood out as great, but when you're drinking, everything tastes pretty good. Crowd was a mix of 20 something's to 60 something's. On a scale from Ed Hardy to Affliction, I'd rate it in the middle as there were both! lol But all in all, it was a good time. Listening to the wannabe American Idol contestants do karaoke was the highlight. And even got the chance to see a few athletes. All in all, I'd go back for dive bar night. I've lived in the area since 1997 and had heard positive things about this place back in the early 2000's, so we thought we would try it one evening. The consensus of the group was that the food was mediocre at best and overpriced. I spoke to the manager regarding some happy hour prices that we thought we'd get before we ordered our full dinners and we're told that that it's only available in the bar and he was extremely rude. Every time we drive by the place now we just talk about how bad it was and vowed to never go there again. This place was alright. The Reuben sandwich was pretty good, a little skimpy on the corned beef, but still good. We got there shortly after they opened so our service was fast. Our waitress Lori was efficient and pleasant. I wanted to sit outside, but the old timers were out there smoking, and I don't care for cigarette smoke. Been coming here for years. Last night, Friday, will literally be the last night coming to this place. The service in the restaurant was so horridly slow. We got there, took 10 minutes to get 2 menus for 4 people. After being there 40 minutes we had half the drinks we ordered (the water, nothing else). At the place for well over an hour before our food came and only half came out, the kids waited another 5 minutes for theirs. We waiting another two minutes to finally be able to flag down someone to get use utensils to eat with and napkins! Wife ordered salad with no tomatoes, but it came with them. My fries were not hot, more on the low side of warm almost cold. I ordered the french onion soup which they brought several minutes after the food came, which I refused as I wanted the soup first. The waitress left drinks empty continuously throughout the night, without checking back for long periods of time. This is the 3rd time out of the last 5 where this type of service has been had. Done with chances and will take my family to a place with better service! read more

Wow this place is so cool. Stopped in after a day at the casino. Never been here before but will be back. Great vibe, family friendly lots of seating inside and outw/ misting system. Full bar with signature cocktails, yum. Prices are reasonable for food and drinks. Our server was Matt very friendly, made some good suggestions. All food is fresh, not frozen. Friend got the monte Cristo, I tried a bite it was fantastic, I will be getting my own next visit. Patty melt was perfect. Good modern music playing, not too loud. They have karaoke in the evenings.
