"Delicious Banh Mi near WalMart in New Hope Commons" Just a few doors down from Jason's Deli sits this new small, unassuming banh mi shop. We saw the great reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a shot on a Saturday evening. The restaurant has only a few tables and seems to do a lot of business as takeout (you can order online). It's brightly lit and clean. When you enter, there's a tablet by the door to place your order. I ordered the Grilled Beef (Banh Mi Bo Nuong). My girlfriend got the Crispy Tofu / BM Chay- Dau Hu. They were inexpensive-- all around $9. We also got drinks-- I got the lychee lemonade (under the tea choices) and she got actual lychee tea. Food came in under 10 minutes. They were delicious. The bread was perfect-- it had a nice crispness to it, but didn't deteriorate into a million crumbs when you bit. The mayo, pickles, jalapeno, cucumbers, etc., all were perfect on the sandwich, too. And the size was decent-- if you're a small eater, it'd be enough to satisfy you. I eat a fair bit, so I needed to go somewhere else to get dessert, but the price was still great for what I got. My girlfriend liked her tofu banh mi as well. One interesting thing-- I went to the restroom, and I saw it actually had a bidet attachment-- very unusual but very cool. There was apparently one in the lady's room, too, I heard. Service was good albeit minimal-- basically, the server gave us our food and that was it. But that makes sense for a place that's mostly takeout anyway... this isn't a "table service" restaurant, and you need to clear your own place after finishing. Overall, for what it was, I'd give it 5 stars. Definitely would come back. I do wish they offered more "side options" (they did have fries, eggrolls, and a couple more appetizers), but so be it. read more

A co-worker took me to this spot for lunch yesterday. Oh. My. Goodness!! SO DELICIOUS!! I got the pork belly Bahn Mi (sandwich) and an order of fries! Everything was hot and fresh! Beautifully prepared. The bread was crispy and fluffy. The veggies were fresh and the meat was cooked to perfection. The fries were just the way I like it! Crispy/crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside! The service was good! You could make your order with the cashier or by using their large tablet to online order via Toast. Good price points. They also have tea and other drink selections but I don't try it tia time. It's a cute and quaint spot. Very clean. Not loud. Nice decor. Even the serving and kitchen area looked clean. I got the tofu bánh mì: while the tofu, bread, and veggies were good, it needed a lot more aioli and was thus a bit dry. The brown sugar boba was classic with a good amount of sweetness and tea flavor plus chewy boba, but nothing mind blowing. There's a large parking lot, which is nice. Service was fast and friendly. Cute little banh-mi-focused cafe in New Hope Commons. You order at the counter with a person or at a touchscreen, and they'll bring food to your table. I got the popcorn chicken and the special combo banh mi. My food came out in just under 15 minutes. Everything is made to order. The popcorn chicken was hot and juicy. The salt and pepper seasoning isn't as heavily applied as at Quickly, but it came with a little container of sweet chili sauce. Would definitely get this every return visit. The banh mi was served on house made bread with a shatteringly crisp exterior. Their bread is on the lighter and fluffier side for a banh mi baguette. The pork in the special combination was a bit bland for my taste, and I would've liked a heavier smear of pate for salty umami depth. Still, loved the bread, loved the popcorn chicken, eager to return and try the other bahn mi options. Tried 93 Banh Mi & Tea today and really enjoyed it! The shop was decorated and had a good amount of seating for the amount of customers coming in and out. The service was quick and they also remained open on the snow day which was extra nice. There were a lot of customers who also bought Banh Mi to go. I think all of the items I ordered were great in terms of flavor but I really liked the Banh mi bread the most. It was surprisingly both crispy and soft. Banh mi dac biet with "cold cuts" was so good (they're not cold meats btw). They use pate which is sometimes missing from other Banh mi. To go veggies came in adorable little zip locs. The crispy pork Banh mi was also good just cause it's crispy pork but I prefer cold cuts. We got the grilled pork sub as well which was flavorful. The bread was perfect. And, the veggies were not pickled (my daikon or pickled carrots...). The bread tasted okay but like standard store-bought white bread (my baguette...). That said, the prices were very affordable, and the quality felt consistent with what you'd expect for the cost and portion size!! I chose my order to go, but the little restaurant is well decorated, cozy, and inviting, and service was relatively fast. Overall, it's a solid option if you're on a budget. We were in the area after doing some shopping and I remembered reading about a banh mi shop nearby. We stopped in late on a weekday and placed our orders at the counter: spring rolls, a combination (dac biet) banh mi and a tofu banh mi. We would have loved some Vietnamese coffee but that would have kept us up. A cute little gentleman brought us the spring rolls and they definitely seemed handmade due to their long shape (I suspect some places reheat frozen spring rolls). He then brought our banh mi and we enjoyed them better than those from another nearby tea lounge. They were good, filling and relatively cheap. The atmosphere is very casual and there looked to be some college students hanging out and other patrons picking up orders. I read this is a family-owned restaurant and I can see the care they put into it. Will definitely be back, perhaps to try other menu items like their beef stew. read more

I can't say enough about their homemade bread and the meat was so flavorful. It brought me back to Hanoi. Their popcorn chicken was also delicious but maybe a tiny bit too salty. The issue isn't the quality of the food, it's the smell of the place; there's a foul order the moment you enter that lingers on the food. I've also felt sick after eating here, which is unfortunate as the place has really some of the most fantastic Viet food I've ever had. The soup is also quite delicious.
