Cute shop serving plenty of different drinks, entrees and snack and pastries. I ordered Togo but really enjoyed my strawberry matcha milk and edamame. I would return to try a food item and another drink. The ambiance is very calm and relaxing. I could see myself working remotely from there.

Really pretty interior - big, spacious, with high ceilings and comfy seating. The vibe makes it a nice place to hang out and chat or study or get some work done. Staff were very kind and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. Food was less good. I was excited to find a croffle in the wild, but it looked really sad. The matcha/chocolate on top was super thick and its sweetness was overpowering. Bao buns were on the dry side as well but still decent flavor-wise. I also got their popcorn chicken, which was similar to the bao buns (dry but with ok flavor). If I come back it'll definitely be for the seating and vibes. Next time, I'll try their drinks and maybe some other food items.

We finally stopped by for lunch on a Saturday after reading good things about this place. We got the egg rolls (cha gio) and two traditional banh mi, and my wife got the signature latte. It was a windy day and power cut in and out a few times. Staff were polite and apologized to everybody for the delay. Cha gio were decent but we would have preferred an accompaniment of nuoc cham rather than sweet chili sauce. Banh mi were also okay but I don't usually see a traditional version with ham. My wife enjoyed the latte. Decor is cute and friendly. Probably not our first choice but I'd be willing to try them again and order something else.

Grab your girlfriends and come to Gossip Tea Lounge! I am so glad I found this new cafe in Durham. They have bubble tea, buns, banh mi, pastries and other Vietnamese inspired dishes and treats to order. The staff was so friendly. It took us a while to read through the menu, but they were more than willing to assist with recommendations and explain anything we had questions for. You can also order by tablet/kiosk if you already know what you want. I personally tried their sparkling refresher, and I loved the fizzy taste and fun flavors offered. You can also order milk teas, fresh milks, and fruit teas, but I appreciated that you could get something caffeine free during the evening. All of the drinks come in a generous size. My friends ordered the bahn me and bun which they described as nothing short of tasty. The decor is cool and sophisticated. There are plenty of tables and comfy chairs to sit and enjoy your treats. It feels clean, relaxed and cozy. It's the perfect place to chat or perhaps even gossip a little bit. They are also open late until 8pm, so it's a great place to come after work. Lastly, there's plenty of parking in the shopping plaza so you don't have to worry about parking.

A new boba spot in Durham is such a win! Got the: - Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Boba: This was pretty classic! Strong tea flavor; pretty sweet- I'd probably get 50-75% next time. To note, by brown sugar boba, they mean crystal boba- a surprise to me, but I didn't mind bc I like the snappiness of crystal boba. - Honey Glazed Pork Bánh Mì: On the smaller side, but tasty- I appreciated the refreshing carrot/radish/cucumber mixture, spicy jalapeños, tender pork, & crispy baguette. - Ube Cheesecake: I feel like $8 is a bit steep for the size of this, but it was creamy with good Ube flavor. Was thrown off a little bc it didn't have a crust. The ambiance is so nice, spacious & super aesthetic- seems like a good place to get work done. Tons of parking available in the lot. Service was fast. I'd def come here for the boba again. 8/10 would recommend!

Gossip Tea Lounge is relatively new in Durham, and tucked away off of McFarland Drive. Had I not seen an advertisement for this place on social media, I would have never known its existence. A friend of mine and I were in the area and decided to check it out. We both ordered a bubble tea. I ordered a Banh mi, while she ordered what looked like dumplings and a green looking dessert. I had really high hopes for the Banh mi, but what didn't sit right with me was that there was red onion in the Banh mi. I wish I knew this beforehand, otherwise I would have opted out. I do always wonder what the Banh mi would have tasted like without.. since the onion did greatly overpower the Banh mi. Despite that, the Tea Lounge was a nice place to hang out and even play some games. There is a wall of activities to partake in, which makes it inviting for people to want to chill and stay a while. While we were there, there were several people treating it like a coffee shop, with their laptops in full work-from-cafe mode. I like that a lot, because that means the wait staff aren't trying to push you out, instead, it's a place to truly enjoy the company of others, or yourself. Stop by and try everything here, but.... beware of the red onion!

Gossip Tea Lounge is a Vietnamese café offering an array of banh mi sandwiches, small bites, boba, and coffee that recently opened in Durham, NC. Went on a Friday evening and ordered a couple of things to-go. It was a quiet evening and the food was prepared quickly. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming . They do have some seating inside and the aesthetic was bright, modern and clean. I tried the classic Banh Mi which included slices of jambon and ham as well as a slaw that included pickled carrots, cilantro and jalapeños. I was pleasantly surprised by the spice kick from the jalapeños. The flavor of the meat paired with the acidity of the veggie slaw was delicious. The bread was toasted well and all in all great. Portions were on the slightly smaller side. They also had several food options under the "street food" section of their menu including items like spring rolls, dumplings, and popcorn chicken which we did not try. I also ordered the Gossip Milk Tea with brown sugar boba at 50% sweetness. The brown sugar boba ended up being crystal boba, though this was not specified on the menu which threw me off at first sip when I was expecting regular boba. However, the milk tea was great and the 50% sweetness was balanced. All in all, a solid choice for boba and would return to try their other menu options!

Nice crusty bread on their sizeable banh-mi. I got their recommend honey-glazed pork, which had nice sweet and savory flavors that worked well with the cool pickled veg. I also tried their popcorn chicken. It came out freshly fried, hot and juicy, and with a generous portion. I'd like a stronger flavor from their seasoning shake, but it did also come with a sweet chili sauce. They were still in soft opening when I visited, but it already felt pretty solid. The food was excellent and the decor was cute. My main recommendation is for them to add a water jug for folks who aren't into the teas.

We can't believe we have lived near here over a year and are just trying it. They have tablets that make ordering fast and easy. Cute interior with lots of seating. This was some of the best most refreshing tea I've had in a while. Perfect balance of herbal and fruity sweetness. The chicken was our favorite of the food we tried. The bao was super soft and the veggies in the spring roll were fresh and crisp. We didn't really care for the pork belly though. We definitely be back next time we want boba somewhere close by.

Nice to have a quality boba/banh mi spot between Durham and Chapel hill! The inside is fairly large which means you can eat in or grab some boba and work on a laptop. Now onto the boba, as the shops name might suggest the brown sugar boba milk tea was tea forward which I often find difficult to pull off well but they did a great job! Im only giving them a 4 because $8 is slightly on the pricier side for boba but it may be hard to find a better tea forward boba option in the Durham/Chapel Hill area.

I was in the area and wanted to grab a drink somewhere and i'm so glad i stopped here! I came on a weekday afternoon and the cashier was friendly. I ordered at a kiosk. I ordered a strawberry matcha latte and it was delicious! Love how much strawberry they put in the drink. The interior was also super nice!

Love this place! Great service and cozy yet upscale ambiance. They have fruit tea, milk tea, and a host of entree and dessert options too. They also have really tasty banh mi sandwiches! You can grab a seat and play board games, read a book, study, and just vibe out. Parking gets a little tight since it's in a shopping area but usually there's some spots open a block down or two. Definitely will be coming back more often.

I was getting my nails done at Soho nail lounge in Durham, North Carolina when the owner was telling everybody about this café, she just opened up next-door. I was super hungry after my workout so I tried it out. The food is excellent very very fresh and the Boba is nice and chewy just like I like it. Kim is the owner and is very personable to the guests. I also noted the added a touch of bling on her food packaging very upscale! And the café is also decorated beautifully. She even let me plug into Wi-Fi so I could get a bit of work done while I ate. Gotta try it.

This was my first time but my friend's hundredth (her words!) There was plenty of parking. The vibrant colors and decor gave off excellent vibes. I ordered the Karaage Bowl (on greens instead of rice AND all the sauces on the side) and a side order of seaweed salad. A server brought them to our table. It was not necessary for us to get up once we were seated. Everything was SO GOOD. Like, "I'm mad at myself for not coming here before" good. All of the sauces were amazing too. I ordered them on the side since I wasn't sure how I would like them all, but I think I'll leave them on next time. The "greens" were a mix of lettuce and cabbage. The side of seaweed salad for $2.50 seemed a little small when they brought it out but it was packed in there and was plenty. The server came around a couple of times to check on us and top off our water. We bussed our own trash. There was only one unisex bathroom that I saw. There seemed like a lot of takeout orders going out (it was a little separate from the dining area which was nice). There was also a lovely outdoor area that would be nice if it wasn't 100 degrees. I will definitely be back to try more menu items!

Don't let the red bright color deceive you, we kept wondering when the 'spice' would kick it (it never did!). We each got a curry udon and added chicken to it. As frequent curry eaters, we wanted the Asian flavors we enjoy however, this udon was bland as well. The only thing we felt was missing from the menu was an ability to do both in one meal. The bread was both soft and crunchy as French bread should be. The pork was decently portioned and the accompaniments were great including the aioli. It has a combo meal option with a drink and fries so I also had peach bubble tea. It wasn't as sweet as I prefer, but still good. The service was quick and attentive. They came to the table to take our order or you can order up front to go. It's super casual as it is in a shopping center and it was clear they got a lot of to-go orders. I would definitely be back and glad we happened upon it!!

The noodles were brown in color and broth was cold and hard. I miss this place when it was Mekong. If you want a quality bowl of Pho, this is not the place. You're welcome. Real talk!

First off, the bread is top notch which is the best start a sandwich can have. Beyond that though, the flavor of everything was SO delicious. Service was good and the food came out in good time considering how busy they were. They've got a bright future!

They had options ranging from sandwiches, rice bowls, to tacos. There is an ample amount of seating inside (tables and booths) and the service was lovely. Very attentive servers! My friend and I split the Caramelized Kimchi Nachos, Ko'Jangles Fries, and Karaage Bowl. The Ko'Jangles Fries could have used a bit more seasoning, but the side of honey mustard was delicious. As for the Caramelized Kimchi Nachos, they definitely had a kick from the Sriracha sauce. I also did not realize that they would come topped with a bunch of lettuce, so that was a bit much. But the ghost pepper cheese sauce on the side was really taste with the tortilla chips. The Karaage Bowl was probably my favorite dish as the fried chicken was delicious with whatever sauce was on top of it. Again, it had a lot of lettuce on top which I will now know not to include, but the bowl was solid. The roasted nori really brought out a great umami flavor. I think I would definitely focus more on customizing my order next time I am here so that I can fully enjoy my meal. There are plenty of options on the menu that I would not mind trying next time. I would probably rate this place a 3.75/5 stars if I could! The food did not wow me; it was pretty simple but good portions and taste to fill you up.

Parking couldn't have been easier. We found a space right out front in the lot off 9th Street and walked straight in. It was a quiet Thursday afternoon, so we were seated immediately. The dining room has an elegant, relaxed feel, and with only a few other diners it made for a peaceful lunch. Lunch for two came to about $80 plus tax and tip, making this one of the more upscale lunches we've had recently. We ordered: * Crispy Brussels Sprouts * Shrimp Dumplings (6) * Mongolian Beef * Grilled Lemongrass Hanger Steak Salad * Unsweetened iced tea The Food The Crispy Brussels Sprouts were a great start. They were crisp on the outside without being overcooked, and the mint, peanuts, and pickled onions added both texture and freshness. It was also a large enough portion for leftovers. The Shrimp Dumplings were excellent. The flavor was outstanding, and the Thai chili oil, garlic, scallions, and sesame worked beautifully together. My only criticism was the portion size. At six small dumplings, they felt a little pricey for what you receive. The Mongolian Beef was probably the best value of the meal. The beef had a nice sear while remaining tender inside, and the portion was generous enough that we had leftovers for another meal. It had a nice overall flavor as well. The Grilled Lemongrass Hanger Steak Salad was good, but not quite at the same level. The steak had good flavor, but the cut itself was somewhat chewy. The accompanying rice was simply prepared and didn't add much to the dish. The flavors were enjoyable, although slightly sweeter than my wife prefers. Service Service was excellent. Our server took the time to walk us through each dish, explaining ingredients, spice levels, and preparation so we could choose items that fit our tastes. We especially appreciated her knowledge of the menu and her attentiveness throughout the meal, my iced tea was never empty. Overall Juju offers an attractive setting, excellent service, and several very well-executed dishes. Our biggest challenge was simply that much of the lunch menu leans toward spicier offerings than we typically enjoy. While we probably wouldn't return specifically for lunch, the dinner menu appears to offer a much wider variety of choices that fit our tastes. We'll likely be back to give dinner a try.
