Despite a fairly decent knowledge of the mechanics and techniques of tennis, I hadn't been able to figure out why my golf swing wasn't producing desired results. So, lessons. After poking around the internet for options, I decided to go with Lawrence Sykkmon, mainly because he's affiliated with the Northcrest Driving range, where I like to practice. His website suggested he'd be a good fit for me as he emphasizes concepts like 'internal mechanics' instead of mechanical swing corrections, and swinging from your core. Lawrence is very easy to learn from - he explains things in a way I understand and can translate to my own swing. How much this will then translate to improved performance on the course is still to be determined. But after only two lessons, I've found I can hit my 3-wood a lot better on the range than I could before. For me, that's the club that has the biggest influence on whether I have a good round or not. And the key indicator that his lessons are translatable to performance is that I now have a better sense of what I did wrong when a swing doesn't produce a nice straight shot. That was lacking before. I have more lessons ahead, and I look forward to them. Reasonable prices and flexible schedule. In terms of sports instruction, this is the best I've experienced. Highly recommended.

The 2some we played with mentioned this is a regular practice of their scheduling. Greens slower than expected; running about 8-10. On the smaller side and challenging. Would have been nice for the starter to mention a few blind shots or just be cheerful. Pretty dry guy with a stiff marshall attitude only to warn to be mindful many holes had 90° only or no cart at all. Slow kitchen in the morning, so we had to skip breakfast. not much of a 19th hole hangout. Opted to go out to a local bar instead. The checkin was a straight faced 'how can I help you'. No intro to the facilities or course or thank you for playing. Boo. Though they had 2 drinks carts active, we only saw them once on the front and once at the 18th tee box. Who gets a drink on the 18th?

However, there are a few major issues potential members should be aware of. 1, App Fees you have to purchase an app. to be able to make reservations. sounds reasonable until you hear it's $30mth. seems like an easy cash grab. 2. Fuel Fuel charge is not based on gallons, but arbitrary percentage estimates and not actual fuel used. 3. Fleet Maintenance A boat club is only as good as its maintenance of the fleet. Unfortunately, more than a couple of times we showed for scheduled trips just to run into boat problems before we even left the dock. The last couple of yrs the "fishing boat" wasn't working. We have friends in the club with the same experience Fix these issues and you really would have a 5 star Dock staff alone is 5star
