This place is super cute and seems to be the most upscale restaurant in downtown Brenham. We had the very delicious spinach artichoke dip. Their ciabatta bread is so good. We got Caesar salad and also a flat bread and breakfast steak. Everything was cooked very well and tasty. Their service was stellar and nice atmosphere. We will definitely return!

Not family friendly! Brunch time, and our 2 year old was never not right next to us, and was not in anyone's way when she got fidgety after we all finished eating. Yet we were admonished and told to control her by management. We used the restroom, looked at the elk skull, touched the bricks and named the colors of the art on the walls in the empty wine room. Out of anyone's way. It was a lovely experience until some management person, or perhaps the owner, forced our fabulous server (host was also great) to tell us to basically leave, aka your kid has to sit at the table or you can't be here. You've got great workers; stop giving them a bad rap! I'm a new parent, but it's pretty reasonable, I'm finding, that restaurants accept that a certain age range needs to move around more than others. If you are using the excuse that "we have hot beverages that could be spilled on someone because of your child", then just make your brunch "not kid friendly", and be up front. See how people feel about that. Or... space your tables more safely? (I was almost bumped by an expediter with coffees). Again, our little one was never just cruising on their own; they were helicoptered and within arms reach at all times. Review your footage if you think otherwise. Honestly if the food was superb this might have been not been a big deal, but it was just solidly "good to decent". This was going to be our weekly meetup with new family in Austin, but I guess our party of 5, and every other month our party of 12, will go elsewhere. We still tipped well!

Prompt service and a cool vibe. Gnocchi soup was fresh and tasty. Salad with a very tender flank steak was large and very flavorful

One of those rare beautiful spring days where sitting out on a shady patio after a leisurely Sunday drive, sipping a glass of bubbly Prosecco just feels like a dream. Y'all, this cute place on the square in Brenham is that dream brought to life. Sonia, or waitress, is doing a good job balancing a full patio of guests' drinks orders, meals, and checks; we have cool drinks in our hands and an order in to the kitchen within just a few minutes. We have a hummus plate with olive add-on for a starter, then chicken Caesar for hubs and the sweet potato breakfast hash with eggs for me. With as modern-artistic as the atmosphere is, we're excited to see if the food continues the aesthetic. The hummus plate is _beautiful_. It would be worth the drive to Brenham _just_ for this! The hummus has a roasted red pepper look to it and, trust me, the olives add-on is 100% worth itfat green olives and dark brown kalamata olives with a surprise surplus of garlic cloves, all drizzled with high quality oil and crushed red pepper flakes. This is just DEVINE. Cesar salad- peppery, in a GREAT way! And the Parmesan crisp was a perfect Addison (we had ours with no croutons, and thanks to the crisp, you really don't need them!) The eggs on my hash came out over cooked (I had asked for over medium, and Sonia said that's how they usually come). A quick request for a re-do and they were on my plate in just a few moments. The sweet potatoes tastes like fall: roasted and warm and bacon-laced perhaps a smidge of maple, with all the kind of comfort of being over at your favorite Auntie's house and she's fixed you a special breakfast before all the other relatives arrive. (PS: the second set of eggs were PERFECT and that drippy yolk really pulls the dish together!) (PSS: I had the salad verde on the side. Yall, that would've been gilding the lily, it so didn't need it) We ordered a second round of the hummus for dessert. Yes. It was THAT good. We'll head home happy and sated, grateful for finding this little gem in Brenham. This was such an excellent meal! Compliments to the chef!! Ninety Six West in Brenham, Texas, offers a brunch experience that feels like a warm embrace. Nestled in the heart of this charming town, the restaurant exudes a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The brunch menu is a delightful medley of flavors, perfectly balancing traditional favorites with creative twists. This is obvious in how we ordered: nachos and a flatbread. Ha. The service at Ninety Six West is impeccable. The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive, ensuring that your coffee cup is always full and your needs are promptly met. Their warmth and hospitality enhance the overall dining experience, making you feel like a cherished guest

When in downtown Brenham, go 96 West. I've dined there twice - once for light apps/drinks and, most recently, for dinner with my mom - and both experiences were lovely. The farm-to-table menu offers everything from appies (not really tapas), soups, salads, flatbreads, and entrees like gourmet burgers, fish, chicken, and steaks. On my recent visit during the winter holiday freeze (bbrrr), we got the burrata over heirloom tomatoes (do it), gnocchi special, sliders with homemade pimento cheese, chicken noodle soup, wine, and hot teas. Happy hour is Wednesday through Friday 4-6pm with $2-off beer, house wines, and well drinks (but at the bar only). They do have a dog-friendly patio with prime people watching of downtown goers.

We had such a nice brunch here yesterday. Our server was excellent! She made such great recommendations for us. We decided on pineapple mimosas, the beet salad, chicken & waffles, and the salmon flatbread. The names aren't exact but they were all delicious and gave our palette a great flavor. So glad we stopped in here. The ambiance was pretty chill. They had a really nice hostess and waitstaff. I would come here again.

Made reservations here for a friends birthday and we really enjoyed it. The ambiance was quiet and laid back, but still had an upscale feel. We ordered dirty martinis and a Chardonnay to start and ended up just order appetizers for the meal. The table favorite was the spinach and artichoke dip and the sliders. The wedge fries and hush puppies were also fantastic. Food came out quick and service was awesome! Great spot for a dinner date because it is a little more intimate.

    Roasted Mushroom Garlic Flatbread

The mushroom flatbread was absolutely amazing and the service was also great. The ambience was wonderful. It was a beautiful day and we sat on the patio.

Strawberry salad with chicken. Brussels sprouts. Both sooo yummy!

It was $7 for a very large double decked slice. The icing is very good - wish it had a hint of Lemon yo accentuate the flavor profile. The cake itself is dry. I dont taste the lemon, i can see a few signs if lemon zest inside the cake. However, would suggest flavoring the icing to really bring out that lemon flavor and maybe even placing a few fresh blueberries on top. I do however really like that its fresh large blueberries. they are visible and plenty. Going to assume the dryness is just because they were premade and being a festival they had to be cut prior (assuming all prep would have to occur the few days before). Judging by the look im sure a fresh cut piece is much moister. The blueberries were very juicy though and plump, which did add some moisture back in. i'm going to assume the lady running the booth is the owner/Baker, she was super sweet and personable. Great personality! I saw the cake and I'm not usually a cake eater, but I said "there's cake over here" to my group and some guy walking past us said "it's really good cake!" which is what me just go try a piece.

Definitely worth the read. We then walked over to the main building where there is a store and the observation deck. On the observation deck is where we met Eli. We asked 1 question (of course I don't remember which one that was!) and he was a wealth of information. He explained what each of the lines were producing which vats contained the flavors and pointed out where they load the pints and sherbet cups. No cameras are allowed on the deck. It was truly amazing to see the operation in production. Just a note - it closes at 2, so make sure you plan your time around that.
