Buyer Beware. The dryer broke after only a couple of uses and the owner was very difficult to work with. It was such a headache that we just gave up and bought a new one. ELDER ABUSE and a LIAR! My parents 81 yo and 78 yo who are on a fixed social security budget bought a KENMORE washer from this man. because theirs broke. He told them he is giving them a special deal and will even install it for them. They were encouraged that this purchase allowed them to be independent from asking for help or having to purchase new. He charged $295 plus $100 installation fee to Halsey and said it came with a 90 day warranty. My parents purchased it on 10/9/24. The next day my dad thought it was running strange and called the man who said he was in an emergency and ghosted my dad. My dad tried calling a few days later with the same response. On 11/5 the washing machine became inoperable to the point my parents needed it fixed to do laundr. My dad called him and he stated he had no idea who he was as he sells "hundreds of washers" even though my dad replied "to people in Halsey? He stated there is a $150 travel fee to come look at it. Obviously this is price gouging, elder abuse and a total crook business as that is not even a reasonable or in market travel fee I had to take my dad to buy a washer at home depot and we had to pay $50 for the washer to be hauled away from home depot. I called and left a message with no reply. I gave the man an opportunity to do the right thing and take his equipment back and give some money back to my parents, who in this definition I would say he robbed. He obviously thinks he can take advantage of people, with no repercussions and I am hoping to change that. I MUST WARN PEOPLE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS PERSON. This is complete fraud, false marketing, taking advantage, etc. If he ends up doing the right think I will announce that but as of now he has proven to be a not only horrible business person but a horrible human being. read more

Very disappointed in this dishonest company. I wish I read the reviews before purchasing my washer and dryer. The hot/cold hoses were not hooked up properly, and I asked Dave to send his new employee to come fix it and told ME to bc it was an easy fix! The point was to do it right the first time!Then a few days later the dryer smelled very dangerously hot! I texted back and said could you come back to check out the dryer and reHOOK up the hose's correctly. He said the "warranty" said I need to pay another $85 to return!!Or... bring the appliance back to shop to look since it could be dangerous!! I said no one mentioned the fake warranty with that fee until all was hooked up! He never responded back! I told him I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this! If there are others with bad experiences with this shady company, I suggest you do the same!!!! read more

I was shopping for a used washer and dryer set in Salem, OR. This was the 3rd place I contacted and they had the best price. I got a matching washer and dryer set for $295 plus $45 for delivery and install. The young man that helped me was very nice and helpful. They delivered the set the next day which was very convenient. I will definitely recommend to friends and family. The location is a bit tricky to find. I followed the GPS on my phone to the address provided online, but it brought me to what appeared to be a house in an industrial area. I had to call and ask if I was at the right place. I was, and apparently if you pull down the driveway around the house there are lots of garages/shops in the back. I would recommend adding a sign in the driveway of the house in front with your logo, or something that states "99 Appliances". Also, another sign or banner above designated garage. Overall great customer service, and experience. Definitely can't beat the price! read more

When we were moving out of the city, he agreed to pick up the used washer and pay us $100 for it since it was still good and we didn't need it at our new place. (We had bought it from him for more but this seemed a fair price.) We moved and left the washer on the curb as we agreed. Well he came to get the washer but never paid me. He said the check was 'in the mail' but of course it never came. When I called him about the money a couple months later, he again said he'd send us the money to our new address but never did. I bought a used dryer from Dave at 99 appliances for $305. It broke down after three usages. I demanded my money back. This was of course after I read the numerous reviews from other people complaining about similar things. Before I made this purchase I thought he was a private person but later after seeing the invoice found that he was connected to 99 appliances. I wasn't about to honor his so-called warranty because I felt he didn't give me a viable purchase. After my wife argued with him on the phone and got him to come over my encounter was as follows: he shows up insisting that I accept a check from him. My wife had already told him no checks cash only. So we went 2 rounds of arguing about it with him insisting I accept a check from him. Finally he got frustrated and gave up and produced the exact amount of money from his pocket. Why he wanted me to take a check from him is kind of obvious isn't it? Anyway he was smart enough to have the cash in his pocket in case he couldn't work me like he apparently tried to. It was a great relief for myself and my wife to get him off of our property and rid of his worthless contraption. Don't take my word for it. Go to his website and read the other complaints. After losing my phone number and address for the delivery and showing up very late the owner, Dave, finally delivered a broken stack washer and dryer to my home and threatened me with his lawyer if I did not go through with the deal. I purchased a set from Dave the end of February 2019. I paid for delivery and was excited about the warranty, thinking I'd get a great set. The washer leaked the first load. The dryer has never worked right. It doesn't dry a small load the first go. Not the second go... Not even 3 go!! It now doesn't even get warm. The timer doesn't work. I called Dave to see if I could bring it in. He told me to check the vent, it's always the vent. Well my vent is a straight shit outside and it's clear as day. The hose isn't bent or plugged. It's the damn dryer. It's shit. I didn't have a way to get the damn washer into my truck as my husband had just been in an accident and was injured. I have a dryer sitting in my garage that doesn't work. 3 kids with a ton of laundry. Very unhappy and will be sure to warn every person I can to stay away. $350 down the drain. read more

Dave is amazing!! I called Saturday afternoon with a plan to go to his shop Sunday but got lazy. I made it to his Boone Rd shop Monday after work and had my washer and dryer Tuesday afternoon. The hardest part was finding his shop....here's word of advice. After turning onto Boone Rd it's the 2nd driveway. The crane company is the 1st driveway. It's a gravel road. Dave delivered and installed both W/D and ran them to make sure they worked. Like I said amazing!! read more

Finally moved into an apartment with a W/D Hookup and shopped around for a set. Getting a refurbished unit was the best option for me. They're a little hard to find, hopefully them and the landlord work on some signage. They delivered the W/D the next day. I have no complaints and I would definitely recommend! read more

Apparently, when you call these guys and offer a washer and dryer delivered and installed, they only perform half the installation- imagine my irritation when I moved my first load of laundry to the dryer only to discover 20 minutes in that they didn't bother to install a dryer vent tube, because the laundry room was sweating like a sauna. And when my wife called to ask about it, she was told that they don't include the vent and that we could drive to Wal-Mart and pay $5 for one. Wow. Got a washer and dryer from Dave at a good price. Overall pleased. However, when using the dryer, the sensor dry cycle was not working. If I put the dial on the asterisk (normal dry), the dial did not move and the dryer continued for an hour and a half until I checked the clothes and they were all dry. The next load I moved the dial down to "less dry" and the dial moved and the cycle ended with my clothes still wet. So I called Dave who told me it was working fine and to put the dial just a hair over "less dry,". I did, and the dryer again ran for over an hour and a half without the dial advancing or the cycle ending. I called back and was told that the cycle can take up to 2 hours to complete (even though it was just a hair over "less dry" and my clothes were totally dry in an hour). He wasn't as friendly as when he delivered the dryer, and told me if I didn't like the way the dryer worked I could use the timer cycle, which is fine, I know I can. But my point was, it supposedly came with a warranty. After continuing my conversation with Dave, he became exasperated with me because I "wasn't listening," and running 2 hours was the way the dryer worked on sensor. Then what is the sensor doing? He finally offered to come take the dryer to his shop to look at it for a $55 trip charge. Some warranty. I paid for delivery. I'm not paying again. I'll live with it using the timed cycle. I guess you get what you pay for. read more
