They ought to rename this 99 cents plus store. Very few items are 99 cents. Anyhow this store is brightly lit, clean, organized, and well-stocked. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I witnessed a customer struggling with carrying more than a handful of items when a kind employee approached her with a basket. The customer was grateful for the chance of unloading her cumbersome items. This same employee was staying busy with dusting and sweeping the floor. I had to stop to speak with her and give her a compliment on the appearance of the store. She replied that it was a team effort and everyone works hard to keep it in great condition. She was going to relay my comments to her manager. The shelves were organized, items were well displayed, and the aisles were free and clear. It was easy to maneuver the shopping cart around the store. Merchandise was easy to find. This is easily one of the nicest 99 cents stores around and I'm only too happy to be patronizing this business. I initially came here for gift bags and ended up spending over $70 for a variety of things I didn't know I needed! When it came time to check out, there was only one register opened. As I was waiting in line (and it was not a long wait), an associate directed me to her register. Now that's great customer service! read more

Was in the area and looking for ideas for decorations for an up coming event. Decided to check this store, with everything continuing to increase in price who was I to think that the 99 cent only wouldn't follow suit. Luckily there is princess parking with signs stating that gym clients are not allowed to park in certain spots from 10 am - 6 pm... which is great as long as you are not going to the gym which is literally next door. This must be one of the smallest 99 cent only stores I've ever been inside. Unfortunately, it was also one of the most expensive for certain items. Flower bouquets ranged from $2.99-$3.99 where others have them for $1.99. I did walk out empty handed, however I was greeted upon entry and walked through the departments with ease. It is located in a rather smaller shopping center with many stores, but plenty of parking. read more

My Wine Country ArBnB's diswashing brushes all disappeared. When I went to Dollar Tree, they didn't have any brushes, only a sponge flower at the end of a stick, like to wash inside tall glasses. So I drove out of the way to find this 99 Cents store, and they had a ton of different kitchen and toilet brushes, in many types and colors. The store is clean and well-organized. I also love that 99 Cents Stores have produce, but I am not giving 3 or 4 stars for produce, now cos their produce is no longer a good deal, you essentially pay grocery store prices, and do not get any discount. Like used to be 99 cents for 2 lbs of squash and onions. Now they package same in 1 lb bags, meaning the price doubled, or they package onions in 3 lb bags for $2.49. It amazes me that I found prettier marodol papaya for cheaper price at Ralphs than at 99Cents store, and Asian grocerystores are expecially reasonable forproduce, such as only 50 cents as lb for Persian cucumbers. Now 99 Cents store hardly anything is even less than $2.00. Thisngs are $2.99 and up. It is like Target, but goods are more inferior. Look for the same items at WalMart, expeciallly kitchen supplies. Many times WalMart has the cheapest prices. Dollar Tree goods are still mostly below $2,00, like opposite of 99 Cents store. They did have to raise their p[rices to $1.25, but Dollar Tree has to pay the same rent per s.f., as 99 Cents ONLY store. No longer 99 Cents ONLY store, what ajoke! I am so addictive to this store and the great bargains I find here. Gardening supplies, food, decorations, beauty supplies etc. i usually go in once or twice a week as new shipments and items are frequently added. No starts. It's about 9:45pm . I came to the 99 cent store after work for some last minute supplies as my local 99 cent store SHOULD be open. and the doors were closed. But yet you close at 10pm. I knocked on the door to get a associates attention and she completely ignored me. She had a pink sweater on and blonde hair. I called the store and spoke to the manager and she started that they closed because they had no customers. But yet you close at 10 and the 4 of us standing outside were clearly paying customers. a couple years ago would have given 5 stars. This place used to be a dollar store, with items you felt you were a good deal. Now, it's like target prices for low quality dollar items. I no longer go here and go to dollar tree instead that has stayed true to their business model. 99 cent stores are misleading, deceiving and a waste of your time. Nutrition peanut butter same deal, oreos, organic drinks and foods, I am always blown away by the name brand stuff I walk out with, bags full of great stuff and at home noone can suspect where it came from! This store just opened up within the last year I believe and it's been a pretty decent addition to this busy Winchester shopping center. Personally, I prefer the atmosphere/look of a Dollar Tree, but since it's a newly built store, it's not too terrible. The store is a decent size and they definitely have a lot of good things for 99 cents. Staff is a little iffy... they kind of just seem like they try to avoid you, but overall pretty friendly once you ask for help. read more

The store clerk Alma was rude and inconsiderate when we had bought a dish scrubber replacement head that is supposed to fit onto a separate handle where you put dish soap. The scrubber did not fit the handle we had at home and the 99 cent store did not carry a handle that fits this specific sponge scrubber. Instead of saying...I'm very sorry you may use the credit for something else she began arguing with us. We cannot use the sponge without the appropriate handle and you don't carry the the handle to buy. How pointless is THAT???? She had this horrible attitude!! We are stuck with two sponges that cannot be used. Theres a bin with a multitude of other sponges just like this with no handles. She could care less. I think this employee needs sensitivity training on how to treat her customers. If she can't be friendly to customers I'm not sure how you plan on keeping this store open. No one wants this kind of interaction and treatment. We will go elsewhere. read more

There are items here that are $10 and even $20 I really think that this store is false Advertisement people come here wanting to buy things for 99 cents and more then half of the items cost are way more then 99 cents. I think that the store needs to change there name as soon as possible. On top of that some of the prices are deceiving there are tiny stickers on the products that say $7.99 so you won't notice it till you are already in line ready to purchase it. I love this place. My son goes to karate class in this shopping center and I come here all the time. Yes there are items that are probably not the best deals, but it is so fun to go in with my daughter and just shop for whatever knowing that everything is just a dollar. We like to find cute hair clips, school supplies, snack foods, seasonal items, anything and everything. We have scored some awesome produce in their produce section. 99 cents watermelon? Usually the small watermelon are at best 2.99 at the grocery store. And while it wasn't the best tasting watermelon, it was sweet and fresh. What more could you ask? Every once in a while they'll have something that isn't usually in their inventory and it's such a steal! I got 15ct FiberOne bar box for 99 cents! Don't buy aerosol cleaners here!!! I like the "scrubbing bubbles" style aerosol cleaners for your bathroom. But all too many times, the can stops spraying while it's still full! There's nothing you can do to remedy it. What a waste of money. They go under the name of "Rinso" bowl cleaners, but there is another one just like it, with a different name I can't remember on the shelf, too. The product inside seems to be the same.Why I kept buying them is beyond me, but I did. I like the products, it's the packaging that's the problem. I love shopping at this store, but when it comes to check out a cashier named Debra is so rude she just puts things aside and expect the customer to pack their stuff every other cashier at other 99 cent store has packed my stuff no problem, but her nope she waits for you to do it just stand there and waits for you to finish to help the next in line. As I can recall hearing on the overhead it says we will gladly bag your purchase. Everytime I walk in there I hope she's not there, and if there is more than one register open I ALWAYS try to avoid her. One day I was waiting in line I was in-front of this couple who clearly didn't understand spanish and was having trouble swiping there card, instead of helping them and telling them that they were swiping the card on the wrong side she stood there, and made a comment to another employee that they were using and ebt card, so what that is not her problem what so ever, so I jumped in and help them, instead of getting help from the cashier (Debra), well she did give them a bag and they just looked at the bag like ok not knowing what to do with it. So honestly I think she needs retraining in customer service. read more

I would but a negative -5 if I could, this place is a JOKE. The manager is unprofessional and is RUDE! I came in and bought $200.00 worth of items. After bagging my own items, I was told the computer was down. I waited, and waited for some guidance, and the manager pulled my cart out of the line by a cash register that was not working, she got on her phone to IT and made me wait for 15 minutes then walked away. I waited and waited, mean while the computers were up and I am still waiting. I FINALLY asked her to recheck me out at a different cash register after spending 45 minutes waiting and waiting. I had to unpack and repack all of my items. I am 70 years old and I was totally stressed out and the pain i my knees was horrible because I was standing o long! Granted the manager, Michele, she said she was sorry but I didn't even get a candy bar for the big hassle. This new 99 cent store totally beats the Murrieta one. for one, when you walk in, it doesn't smell like sewage. There is a huge selection and I've been very surprised with the produce and some of the brand names we have found. My favorite deal was the pretzel bits we found in the freezer section. I stocked up the freezer, and we make them Wetzel's Pretzel style ;) try this one out, its actually pretty decent! They also carry gallons of milk here, same price as Walmart and Winco! read more

THE worst customer service by MARIA, THE STORE MANAGER!!! Corporate needs to re-train her. First of all, there were only two registers open for the mob of people that were there. It took almost 10 minutes for them to get back up. There were about 10 people in each line for two registers only so finally after so pong MARIA, the STORE MANAGER, opens up another register but she does NOT get the next person in line. Instead she calls over her group of friends that were for people behind me so that she can ring them up! And one of the employees told me that she trains and tells all of the employees that when they open up a new register they need to call over the next person in line, which she totally did not do. FIRE MARIA! If she has a bad example and cannot follow the rules then she does not deserve to be a manager at all. read more
