This place maybe seems to be costly BUT fresh and good meat is the reason we came here! We don't mind if we have extra to spend and looking for good ones! The staffs cut the meat in a good portion of chunk and clean! The meat is fresh and divine!

Our Porterhouse steak was so incredible good. Yes it was expensive $56. But so tender! We shared it and there was still some left. Salesman guy with red hair was the most unfriendly guy. No smile no Hello, nothing! Took the meats we want to purchase to the register, rang us up still no smile. He needs to work on customer service. We drove 40 miles to shop, but so worth it.

What a unassuming place that's set up for people who love to barbecue. I really just needed a sandwich because I was hungry and there wasn't anything around. So I took a chance and this place made a really good sandwich and the gentleman took great care of packaging in properly with the property utensils and a pickle decent potato salad great experience would definitely go there again.

    Home made Roast beef

Everything is good. My favorite is the fresh roasted turkey because it reminds me of the turkey my dad used to make. Service is spot on all there recommendations keep me coming again and again and again. You can eat there if you ask but the room is too small. Eat outside?

    All the meats, etc.

Nice little butcher shop. Plenty of options to choose from. I like how you can get your meat cut into chunks already prepped.

Ask the Community - Gem Gourmet Meats

Do they have beef back ribs with a lot of meat on the bone?

Yes, but it depends on the ribs you get. I got the giant plate ribs (Dino ribs) and there's a lot of meat on those.

What size are your hamburger patties?

5 pounds of 1/4 Pound frozen burgers in the freezer

Does anyone know if they sell suet (beef fat) for rendering into tallow?

    Yes

Do they sell uncooked beef/chicken or lamb bones for stock/broth making?

    Yes, they do

Will you have cooked turkeys to order this thanksgiving?

I don't think so. They sell fresh meats and seafood to bring home to cook, haven't seen cooked turkeys ever.

Do they carry quail eggs here?

I'm not sure but it's worth the call. Great friendly people here!

Do they have goat or lamb meat?

They sell lamb loin chops and if you call them they can get a lamb leg in.

Looking for a butcher that has great meaty ribs?

Absolutely - Go in or give them a call and see what they can set aside for you - I've had them cut several items to order.

During my visit…read morethis week, I immediately noticed that the food containers and portion sizes have changed and not for the better. The portions are noticeably smaller, yet the prices remain exactly the same. Previously, the combo meals came in larger containers with more generous servings. Even the à la carte items seem to have been reduced in size. The most disappointing example was the Snack Kaboodle. It is now significantly smaller, yet it still costs $9.99. The taho has also been downsized; what used to be served in a larger bowl is now only about three-quarters of the previous portion. As a regular customer, this change was impossible to miss. It raises an important question: Did Seafood City and Grill City really think loyal customers wouldn't notice when portions were reduced while prices stayed the same? Food prices were already on the higher side, and now customers are receiving less food for the same amount of money. From a customer's perspective, this feels unfair and disappointing. If rising costs have made changes necessary, transparency would be appreciated. However, reducing portion sizes without adjusting prices or informing customers comes across as poor value and gives the impression that customers are being asked to pay more while receiving less. The attached photos speak for themselves. The first photo was taken just last week during Memorial Day week, when the portions were still larger and more reasonable. The second and the rest of the photos was taken today, with the exact same order of two combo meals, yet the portions and containers are clearly smaller. As someone who has supported Seafood City and Grill City regularly, this experience has made me reconsider my weekly visits. Instead of being a place I stop by every week, it may become somewhere I only visit occasionally when I'm specifically craving the food. Long-time customers notice these changes, and many will feel that they are no longer getting the value they once did. Please do better. Customer loyalty is built on consistency, quality, and value. Shrinking portions while maintaining the same prices undermines that trust and risks driving away the very customers who have supported your business for years. I normally would not leave a negative review because I have been a loyal, regular customer for a long time. In fact, as someone who visited almost every week, I would have preferred to continue supporting the business rather than criticizing it publicly. However, I believe people deserve to know when a business makes changes that significantly reduce value for customers. What makes this particularly disappointing is that the change is not an improvement~it is a clear step backward. Customers are paying the same prices, yet receiving noticeably smaller portions than before. That is difficult to justify, especially for those of us who have supported Seafood City and Grill City consistently over the years. Remaining silent would not be fair to other customers who expect the same quality, portions, and value they have come to know. This review is not being written out of spite. It is being written out of disappointment and honesty. Regular customers notice when a business changes from better to worse, and prospective customers deserve to be aware of that before spending their hard-earned money.

They offer a variety of things including popcorn chicken, chicken skewers, beef ribs, tempura, potatoes cakes, and Spam fried rice. I had to get back on task to look for the kelp noodles! I ended up asking one of the employees for assistance. Lucky for me, he happened to be in charge of the noodle section. Unfortunately, they currently don't carry kelp noodles. Frankly, I'd never heard of them, so now I'm wondering if my son sent me on a wild goose chase The store in general is nicely organized and clean. Aisles are labeled to make it easy to find the general area of what you're looking for if you're new to the store like I was. Overall, a pleasant experience. Even though each store has a strengths, I feel like overall Bristol Farms is the better of the two. This is speaking as millennial and maybe Bristol Farms serves a more immature crowd. Hopefully it stays that way. They have everyday products and they have very niche products. Literally something for everyone their bakery is delicious and of course they have their classic big cookies that are served warm. I haven't had anything from the juice/coffee bar yet, but I will next, however the poke bar and the hot bar, never disappoints and that is why I'm writing this review finally. Today I had a flounder piccata mashed potatoes, perfectly roasted vegetables, and pasta Bolognese with huge chunks of beef. Everything was delicious. The flounder even remained crunchy two hours after leaving the store they don't have the variety in the hot bar that Whole Foods has, however, the quality is far superior, and the flavor is in the upper echelon compared to Whole Foods. These are consistent findings within the self-service food area even within the deli carving station. Sometimes they have turkey briskets. I believe I've even purchased prime rib there and the quality and flavor is always on point consistently the presentation of all of their items never fails either also, every time I go to Bristol Farms you're always greeted with a smile. The staff is really nice and in general they look like they're happy to be there which makes the shopping experience that much better.
