I love Red Ribbon Bake Shop. The nostalgia alone keeps me coming back--from the comforting Arroz Caldo to the Chocolate Mousse Cake and those Chicken Empanadas that have somehow remained delicious and consistent since the '80s. But we need to have a serious conversation about the halo-halo. Who is rationing the evaporated milk? ANO BA?!? There isn't even enough to wet the shaved ice, let alone reach the bottom of the cup. After 1 sip, I wasn't eating halo-halo anymore--I was chewing on a cup of dry, flavored snow. No wonder they don't give straw anymore, cuchara lang! Thinking it had to be a mistake, I went back and asked for extra evaporated milk. They said they could do that... for an extra charge. Fine. Four dollars later, I was handed a tiny soufflé cup of evaporated milk. No joke, less than 1/4 cup. I poured the entire thing into my halo-halo... and the ice was still dry. For four dollars, I expected enough milk to solve the problem--not enough to moisturize the top layer. At this point, I'm convinced Red Ribbon has adopted a BYOM (Bring Your Own Milk) policy. If you're craving their halo-halo, swing by the grocery store first and pick up a can of Carnation because apparently that's a separate menu item now. The rest of the food is still great, but charging extra for the amount of milk the halo-halo should've had in the first place is wild. Justice for the evaporated milk!!! read more

Their halo halo is not what i expected. They only served shaved ice with yemma ice cream ,beans and leche plan in it and took me 30minutes to wait just for shaved ice and ice cream the most i saw in the cup because the other you can't barely see it in the cup because of small amount. And they closed 30 minutes before closing time. That's my bad experience. Their is so many place selling halo halo they think no one can beat them. I learned about this place through my previous job. One of our vendors would bring in a huge box of their empanadas. The chicken one is my favorite and is their best seller. If you like a bit of sweet, then I say try this one! The empanadas are filling and they have a deal for about $20 if you buy 6. We tried 3 beef and 3 chicken. The beef were ok and not as flavorful as the chicken. They were a bit smaller as well. The dough used is so fresh and soft with every bite. There is plenty of seating inside but we took the empanadas home to eat. They are served hot and fresh so they're ok for the drive home. read more

They are located in a plaza with its own lot, so parking isn't an issue. Noise level is average. They have a small selection of Filipino desserts, both refrigerated and non. They also offer a few savory food items. Their ube cake and various mamon flavors are classics. Give their new Spanish bread a try - not too sweet and very soft. Prices are slightly expensive for the prepackaged items. Personally, I prefer to go to less mainstream bakeries that have bigger selections and better pricing. Red Ribbon is a popular bakery originating in the Philippines that sells Filipino delicacies such as Ube cakes, pan de sal (breakfast rolls), and airy cup cakes ("mamon"). They also serve hot foods that complement the fried chicken that the Jollibee right next to it sells: pancit palabok, arroz caldo, etc. Our personal favorite is their spicy chicken empanadas - they're generously filled with minced chicken with the right amount of spiciness that makes them so addictive. Their pancit palabok however, disappoints as its protein to noodles ratio is close to nil! Except for that miss, I'd say their offerings deserve a solid 4 out of 5 rating. I bought a cake here. The young lady already punch for the cake and put infront of me and I don't what shes thinking after she punch for it she removed and put it at the back. And saying theres no cake like this. And so the older lady i think its the manager she pull out another cake which is the same that I just ordered. The manager placed it at the back. And then I just her she's literally moving the cake from the box and the counter top has a lot of icing. And then put it infront of me as if nothing's happened. she was saying oh it just slide its still good. Wtf!? She didn't even bother to change it instead. And NOPE! It was pretty good, but definitely had notes of some artificial flavorings. It's an indulgent treat. Portion size was fair for the price, not amazing value but fair. So..I love all your cakes & also the butter mamon but for some reason the butter mamon that used to be 1 inch thick & fluffy is no longer thick enough & it reduces the spongy feel & is now half inch less thicker with the expensive price for a bread. Wish they served Ube Ice Cream as an option to the halo halo but mango ice cream is good too. If they offer turon, banana con yello, and taho that would be game changers for this area.
