We always drive all the way here for groceries for almost 20 years. It's a one stop shop, and you get some free discount coupons for their food court/deli. I came here today and everything in the food court needs to be weighed now (double price). I bought fish and they also charged me for cleaning and frying. They also don't sell their noodle soup, congee and the lady said it's been closed. Sad, I am not coming here anymore. They have changed everything for the worst. read more

Came by the other day to try their roast duck and it was surprisingly a decent experience. The roast duck was cut to order and was freshly roasted. Seasoning was on point was the duck was roasted to perfection, slightly under, to ensure that the meat is still moist. The cashier even provided a dipping sauce for the duck too! ~$18 for a half duck. read more

I was in the area so I went to this location. The workers here are nice and friendly. The aisles are small but the product section is very spacious. This grocery store is very clean. The food court is very spacious too with some tables and chair. The price for a combo is now $16.99. They have a bakery with variety of desserts, looks so yummy. read more

Has all the departments. Came to the bakery to get my guest a snack as we will not have lunch until 2pm. Driving back and forth to SF today, but you already know that if you are following. Got two buns, both were good. A little more greasy than I would have preferred. I should have gotten the steamed ones, too late. Just thankful my guest did NOT make a mess in my car. Atmosphere - Very organized. I especially liked the fact that we enter one entrance and exit in the other. Plenty of mall parking, even though it is a smaller lot than most. Open 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm. Good size restrooms, but could use a cleaning or remodel. Service - Self service deli. The lady that rang me up was quick and friendly. She said something to me in Chinese. I think she was trying to tell me that it is 3 buns in an order...? I only needed two. Well it only came out to $3.50, so I was not stressing. Price - $3.50, inexpensive in my book. Owner Suggestion - Since I will NOT shop your other 99 Ranch on Homestead, maybe I will come here instead...? A good Asian supermarket conveniently located near De Anza College, so it's easily accessible from anywhere within the South Bay. And also, because of the Cupertino School District, the demographics consists of mostly Asian decent so this particular store tends to stock items not available at other Ranch 99 locations. It's also very clean & employees are quite courteous and helpful, so this would be my go-to place for any Asian groceries. read more

Brought my mom so she could pick up a few things. This 99 ranch must be the most confusing set up of all the 99s I've been to. I felt like I had to keep going back and forth looking for certain items. And the prices of items are a lot more than other Asian super markets. Too bad there's no 88, Sam Chong, seafood city, or island pacific in the area. Service could at least be more pleasant as well. read more

Quality has really gone downhill. A lot of the produce is already going bad on the shelf and packaged fresh meat is discolored. Customer service here is poor. They mislabeled an entire shelf's item price, acknowledged it had been wrong all day, but refused to honor the price or correct the label. The cashier also voided the wrong item on our transaction and got mad at us for her error. Would not recommend shopping here. Try the location on Wolfe instead. read more

Terrible customer service at the bakery. The rude girl behind counter lacked professional job training thus shouldn't interact with customers. She ignored my request of getting a bag while pretending to count coupons. Her declaration of "I don't speak English." not only reflected incompetent hire practice of her employer's but her own bad attitude. The nepo b's passive aggressiveness was the epitome of ignorance and impoliteness. Service from fishmongers was nice and helpful at least they were friendly and happy to assist. Like any typical Asian supermarkets, most staff here don't have basic manners in which it lies in the culture and personal cultivation. Managers and workers alike surely need more trainings in customer service. The whole store is like a maze with busy and chaotic display of merchandises. Worse than its sister store in Cupertino village in service and store display. It wasn't much of a pleasure shopping here except for the seafood guys. read more

Two days ago on 6/18/25, I purchased a refrigerated pack of Hons Ribbon chow mein noodle. It had an expiration sticker of 7/25/3025. When I opened it today, 6/20/25 only 2 days after I purchased it, it was already molded. More than likely staff change the sticker and continue to sell it on the shelf. This is a review only for the BBQ pork/char siu 叉燒 from the store deli: the quality of the char siu has significantly improved since I last purchased it regularly from the store (maybe 4 years ago), and I have not had any issues with the char siu that I'be had this year from the store: maybe 7-8 different instances. Hopefully this quality continues to be consistent. Deli service is ok given that the people working there are ESL. There is an indoor dining area for the deli but I rarely use it. The deli has other hot foods available but I have not really tried any if it in recent years other than the BBQ pork bun (char siu bao/叉燒包 which is only ok. read more

This particular ranch 99 has a very old field to it. Some of the stores have been updated but the parking lot has huge potholes and random speed bumps that are not marked/Painted so be careful if you are using any equipment to help you walk. People in the parking lot seem to get rather irritated with the potholes and drive carelessly into your lane to avoid them, at the same time driving incredibly close to you and where you're walking. Once in the store it was incredibly cold, so with the 85° weather outside and me wearing a tank top inside, I started coughing abruptly. Lol at least I had my mascon. Masks are not required, just recommend it. Everything at the store was fine and very organized granted The cashiers were very slow at checking out my one item, yellow curry. I'm surprised this 99 Ranch has such low reviews. I work nearby so I'm usually here every week to grab some snacks or groceries. I've never had any issues with cleanliness, customer service, or rotten food. It's freezing cold inside this store so wear a jacket. I've only had one annoying experience here when they ran out of beef chuck as well as pho noodles two weeks ago so I had to go to Marina Grocery down the street to finish up my grocery shopping. Other than that, this 99 Ranch has a nice selection of Asian food and drinks in a clean store. read more

I saw all the bad reviews and was a bit surprised based on my recent visits there. Compared to their Wolfe / Homestead location, this is a far better store in my opinion. Perhaps they updated the store recently, but we really enjoyed this over the other Asian markets we typically visit, especially the other Ranch location and even over H Mart. Keep in mind, this is no Whole Foods, but this review is relative to other Asian markets. * Everything seems to be organized * Great selection of Asian items, including a TON of frozen dumplings and green onion pancakes * Prices aren't the absolute cheapest, but if this means the store is better maintained and cleaned, I'm fine paying a little more * Seafood section does NOT smell - this is unheard of for an Asian market! (note we have not purchased any seafood from here yet) * The hot food section looks to be quite nice with a good selection of items, and if you spend a certain amount, they give you $2 coupons you can use to purchase deli items This seems to be a hit or miss for some people, but if you have not visited (or visited recently), it's at least worth a stop for you to see and judge for yourself. read more

This is a very generic Southern California style Ranch 99 market. It's a lot smaller than the Wolfe Road location but yet I can still find what I need. The selection of items is a lot less than I expected almost the same as the Mipitas location. Prices here are no different from other locations in the county. It's not all terrible because if you are frequent shopper at 99 Ranch they have some deals that are only available to regulars. This store does a good job with the order on the app and pick up. I got most the items I need and every one of them was accounted for. There is no shortage of items that I need to buy. Drawback: Parking here is a bit strange because the parking lot is first of all very dirty. If you are not a fan of speed bumps you will not like this location because they seem to be a bit bigger than other locations. read more

Ranch 99 is generally Clean & Well organized. The only thing is they never sell sushi? I originally want go Hmart for sushi but my Dad want go Ranch 99. Their prices ( on veggies) are pretty good. They have cheap broccoli. They also have cheap Salmon ( small to medium pieces you have to look for the area with bones, and they also have with no bones for cheap...5.99 per lb??) but regular salmon is either 10.99 or 11.99 per lb. The reason I did not go Hmart is my Dad find the Fish Dept, they fry fish for you ( and smell delicious). They normally fry only the regular fish ( not onsale) but today they were willing to fry the Onsale Fish too. There was special on Perch so we got that for 99 cent per lb !! Our total for the perch was less than 2 dollars !! The only thing it was missing was a little salt would have made it better. But last time I remember the guy with white hair fried a delicious fish and maybe he put salt last time it was so delicious, so this time they did not put salt but still good but just need little salt. We spent total of 89 dollars on groceries. My Dad always buy snacks. I am cheap so I buy the cheap veggies/fruit. Broccoli today was only 1.69 per lb. They had cheap pears 1.39? special. Dad got both meat and lots of snacks. They have a delicious mango tart...Dad usually get the pineapple tart with maltose? but today he got mango. We got 4 coupon ( $ 2 each) a total of $8 in coupons for Deli. Dad told me to get Bento box ( from Deli). you can fill your own box for only $ 14.55. I dont recommend the pig feet because the bone is so big it fill half the box. You are suppose to get One Rice or Fried Noodle in the big section plus 2 items in the smaller section fill with Meat or Veggies. I did not get too much meat because the Pork Feet take up too much space. I also got one Chicken leg and I think one egg roll, plus some Broccoli, Greens,& tiny bit of Eggplant. The Eggplant is always delicious. The Pork feet was Ok but just too much bone and not enough meat on it. The Chicken Leg surprisely was pretty good. I am picky and I went to Hokkaido buffet one time & did not like their chicken leg so today the Ranch 99 Chicken Leg taste better than Hokkaido ( so that is pretty good). I did not try the tofu and I did not try the other meat ( no room) but I did try either pork or chicken white...maybe pork ( was white) and it was good. The only thing was the Chow Mein or Rice Noodle need more oil? Because a few of the Noodle stuck together and had less flavour so just need more oil or soy or some type of sauce to give the Noodle more flavour. One time I came here for Dim Sum a month ago, it was delicious but I had to wait in line. Today, there was no line so I was lucky. read more

One of the more popular 99 Ranch Markets in Silicon Valley. I basically come here to buy all my Taiwanese / HK food products. On a few occasions my wife has purchased some of the seafood and red meat which ranged from mediocre to good quality. The live seafood is in the upper left corner. You can tell a lot about the quality of seafood by taking note of how the seawater tanks are managed. From my first impression they are pretty clean. Produce is plentiful with all your usual Chinese vegetables. I am very curious about the BBQ stand and will try it as I become more familiar with this area. I am so grossed out beyond words!!!! I ate half of this castella bun before biting into a bottom piece and it tasted off! So I checked the bun and on the bottom I saw mold. I literally gagged and wanted to vomit it all out! My kids and I love this castella bun so much. They need to bake fresh and have better quality control!! What the heck!!! Just want to warn fellow yelpers to be on the lookout for moldy pastry products at this 99 Ranch location. I probably will also post on the other location as well since they probably provide the same pastries to all their stores. 99 Ranch Market is in my regular grocery rotation, but I have always visited the location on Wolfe in Cupertino or the one on Barber Court in Milpitas, but on a recent Saturday, having just visited a friend in this part of town, I decided to give the 99 Ranch Market store on S DeAnza a try. Compared to the other two 99 Ranch Market stores I have been to frequently, this one is much smaller. It was not nearly as crowded as the much larger one about 2 miles away on Wolfe. I wonder if it was not as busy because of its size, but I can't be sure. The layout and setup is the same as the other spots, but the aisles are quite narrow by comparison and the selection is not as grand. Still, I was able to find all of the things I needed and most of what I wanted. The 99 Ranch Markets give out loyalty bucks after checkout based on the amount of your spend. These can be used on your next visit to purchase select items from the bakery or hot food bar. The pro tip is to buy everything except for your bakery and hot food items, check out, then go use your loyalty bucks to get some free stuff on the same visit. Yeah, I know, it's not free, those coupons were factored into the pricing scheme, but it feels free, right? On the plus side, their fruit selection was very nice. They were also fully stocked with all of my favorite soup bases for hot pot. These are frequently sold out everywhere else I go so I find myself hoarding them. They also had my #1 go-to refreshing soda drink, a Korean-made sparkling creamy mango beverage. I pick these up whenever I see them. The negatives for me were the smaller selection in the bakery compared to other places, and the unusually long wait in the checkout line. They only had three registers open, so while it wasn't crowded when shopping, the lines to complete the purchase were insane. I'm glad I tried the 99 Ranch Market on S De Anza. I don't think I'll return again, the negatives outweighed the positives for me, but I wouldn't call the place bad. It's A-OK. read more

But, if you want to get a ton of variety of green leafy asian vegetables, you will walk out with bags full. If you want certain asian sauces or asian snacks, you will walk out with bags full. I also happen to like their BBQ Pork and their Roasted Duck. Is it the best around? Of course not, some restaurants have MUCH better ones. But when I'm in the mood, it definitely hits the spot. I go to this Asian grocery store to get most of the Asian groceries that I need because it is conveniently located close to the TPumps and Trader Joe's. I head out every other Tuesday to stock up. For the most part, the vegetables and meats are not of the highest quality but the prices are competitive. Anyway Tuesday is the day where anyone over 60 (must have proof or look very old), gets 5% off everything purchased that day. Plus they still have the rebates for every $20 spent at the store (which is good in the deli section). It's very disappoint that these two brands "Manna Kimchee" and "IM SOON JA KIMCHI" have sanitization issues. I bought a red snapper from the fish counter and asked that to be cleaned. There were several problems ranging from plain sloppiness to apparently unsanitary condition of the fish. 1. The cleaned fish was given to me in a new plastic bag (enclosing the original plastic bag I used to pick the fish up), which was leaking badly, with liquid spilling all over inside my shopping bag. 2. I ate part of the well-cooked fish that evening. Not only did it taste unfresh, and seem to be defrosted multiple times, it gave me diarrhea the next morning. 3. Before my intestinal reaction, my wife decided to boil the fish to make soup, hoping it might be more edible after that. She and I drank the soup, and we both reacted with diarrhea shortly after. We shop at Ranch 99 often and had minor issues with freshness of its products on a few occasions. But this situation is the worst. Being one of the largest Asian Supermarket chains, it is unacceptable that Ranch 99 cannot maintain better quality control of what it sells. read more

Does not honor their ad price We went to Cupertino (De Anza Blvd) store to buy the roasted duck listed on weekly promotion ads https://www.99ranch.com/stores/promotions/1779 but the clerk effused to honor the $28.88 promotion price listed in the ad. We talked to front desk people; 2 ladies talked to deli department but they simply said they were not informed. We asked for the store manager but they said he went out for lunch and asked us to wait. Then we asked for the person in duty. They said the assistance store manager went to Taiwan so no one is on duty. We are not alone. This is a management problem the company need to fix to rebuild customers' confidence. read more

This is a smaller 99 ranch with narrow aisles, so when you push your cart in, it feels really cramped. Produce section was clean and organized. Shelves are fully stocked. This market smells clean, except when you head over to the seafood section. Bread in the bakery section was fresh. Pillowy and not too sweet. Freezer section is organized. I went during a slow time, but I can tell it can get chaotic when it's busy. Not much room to push around carts. read more

Fairly well-stocked, and employees and customers were wearing masks. But no one was wiping down the shopping carts, and no wipes were provided to even let you do it yourself. Additionally, no one was really social distancing while waiting in line. Which, to be fair, would be difficult to do as (1) lines were long, and (2) lines occupied aisles, which aren't even 6 feet wide to begin with. So you have people waiting in line and people browsing the same aisle the line is in... and you're definitely going to be right next to someone at multiple points. P.S. I was going to spend my deli coupons on BBQ pork, but the hot deli counter was completely empty/cleaned. Either their hot deli counter closes much earlier than the store (this was around 5:30pm), or it's not open at all, not sure. The bakery section was still open, but pretty picked over. P.P.S.
