I have been buying frozen fish and kid goat meat from the Sunnyvale Meat Corner store for years, almost since it first opened. While their staff is polite, the store often smells bad. Additionally, they charge for kid-goat but the meat provided is sometimes quite obviously not that of a kid goat: it is much tougher meat, from an older animal. At other times, the meat is of great quality, so I am sure the seller knows when they are pushing sub-standard stuff. I have been buying fish from here from the very day they opened . Lately I realize that the fish they gave me after cutting is always less then the fish before cutting . I know after removing the scales I will loose some weight . I recently bought fish and felt that it weigh very less so I thought I will be mindful to do a before cutting and after cutting weight of the fish . I went tj buy Rohu fish yesterday morning . The fish weigh 8.75lb before cutting and after cutting it weigh 7 lb. I told the staff and they said very rudely that they remove the scales so that's why the fish is weighing less. May after removing the scales I can loose 1/2 lb but not 1 1/2 lb. Pls beware to weigh your fish before and after cutting just to make sure they give you less fish . I ordered it on 5/6 and received an email saying that my order would bd ready the next day, and I would receive an email when my order was ready. 5/8 came snd no email. I went to the store, and my order ( I ordered chicken skin) was never prepared anx teady. The tall guy ignored me for 5 minutes to take a call, and then camd anc offered me a bag of chicken skins that had been sitting in a box. I put the bag in thd fridge until the next day, but ehen I opened it to clean it, the smell was overwhelming! No matter how much I tried to clean the skins, I could not get rid of the smell. Traditionally, at New Year's we make Mutton Curry as a tradition in our family back home. This year, COVID and all, we were so homesick, we went to the the Meat Corner get our fresh cut goat meat (mutton) for making it during this Christmas weekend itself. And we will try making Lucknowi Dum Biryani as well (courtesy chef Ranveer Brar and his show on Amazon Prime Video ) We ordered online and went for pickup after 2 hours. While the cleanliness and hygiene may be a tad deficient as the the shop reeked, the meat was cut in front of us and looked fresh. And they were practicing safety measures in all ways : masks. First the good about the shop - their delivery service is prompt, usually next day and prices are good, and for those reasons I will recommend anyone to buy their meat but I hope they will improve on that part, e.g., read the instructions customer provided in the instruction box of the order form and follow it accordingly since it is there for a reason. Now the bad - when I placed a meat order for delivery, I requested them to call me before coming to deliver but no one called and whoever delivered had left the meat outside during evening time without ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door. Luckily there was an Amazon delivery at 6:47 PM and when I opened the door to get the Amazon items just delivered, I discovered the meat box outside. If there wasn't an Amazon delivery that evening the box would have been left outside all night for animals to feed. No one wearing a mask, guy helping me used same bloody gloved hands to cut my meat and then pull my cash change out of the cash register. There were little chunks of meat and blood on my cash and hands after he handed it to me. Not friendly. 2 stars because the meat has always been so good. I've been coming here for some time .. I've had some good experiences and some bad experiences in terms of quality of chicken. Bad: 1.Not fresh chicken - they mix old chicken with fresh chicken - feels deceptive. 2. What you see is not what you get .. was given chicken from some freezer in the back .. not the same quality as what's on display. 3. Asked for them to clean the chicken / remove the fat . (Final chicken was not clean) Good: On some occasions the chicken was fresh and cleaned well. Hope they improve their quality. read more

My usual go to place for meats every week , usually goat and chicken pieces are fresh. Although the owner( indian guy) is nice and professional but you will find some staff behave rudely when he is not around. So have given 4 stars. Prefer to go on Friday or weekends because i know the manager/owner will be there and i wont be disappointed. read more

Posting an update to my previous review. In first order apart from what I mentioned above goat leg was total waste as it was rotten and smelly. I was checking reviews and it seems like what I experienced I am not the first one. After my review owner of the meat shop contacted me and after exchanging some details, covering the order, he agreed to deliver the replacement of the order. It took a while and replacement order came in and person who delivered mentioned to give the review of this delivery. I checked it right away and found that the issue I had with beef bones in previous order is same in this replacement order. I took pictures and send it to the owner along with the review. He called me and then during discussion he keeps on defending his product with no willingness to change. I told him also that order which I received is contrary to what is displayed on your site or what I was told when I called in before placing the order. Meat is of low quality. The thing which I do not like at all is this guy told me to buy it from somewhere else to which I responded that I was buying from other places before and will continue doing it and he is not the only meat supplier in the area. This is a rude customer service. The replacement goat meat was also not from hind leg (raan) rather the front ones which we normally do not like and also different than order placed. Last but not the least (which I came to know after having discussions with the owner) that this shop/chain is owned by a non muslim (specifying incase it matters to buyers from this shop). Overall experience is below average and I wish I could give him zero stars. Definitely not coming back and will inform others in my social circle to do the same. read more

I some how bad bad experience. They were not respectful, the timing sign says that they are open until 8.30 pm but when we went there at 6.50pm they started closing their kitchen and cannot sell any more, that's what the shop owner says. When I told him that the timing says open until 8.30pm, he still says I clean the kitchen at 7pm, if you just want whole chicken buy and go. very weird on Friday evening where people would like to enjoy the evening and don't want to get into this kind of argument. I have never been to the storefront but I ordered for home delivery. I ordered a wholesale amount 40lbs of chicken quarters and some beef. Everything was high quality, super cold and clean. I would highly recommend ordering meat from them. They might waive the delivery fee if your order is over $75! Good to know for larger orders. read more
