I've been to this H Mart so many times now. Didn't really go here until the Tea by Do opened up next door. H Mart has so many choices - really need to come for the Korean food. And they got my nose so good, with their roasted sweet potatoes - how can I not get a bag once I hit the door?

Love all these tropical fruits! Hee

Those parking lot is honestly a nightmare! The spot seem way too small and people seem to drive in the middle of the lane with their cars. Lol. Granted H Mart has cheaper prices on different sauces and that's why I come. Although today I came because I needed toppings to make Bingsu. I love their wide variety and assortment of fruits and vegetables from around the world! I also like their pre-marinated items and I just saw they have hot fresh potatoes now too! And sweet potatoes! My son loves the two restaurants inside and if you come around lunchtime, they make a bunch of hot foods as takeout! There are a lot of people working, but they are very self efficient and aren't as likely to help you find the items you need especially if there is a language barrier. Looking for the different Toppings was rather hard and a lady that spoke Korean in English ended up helping me, but she was a customer. Lol.

It's not the best nor the worst HMart around the region. The store looks more spacious from the outside, but when you enter the building, inventories and aisles felt cramped and congested in ways. Maybe they should move the boxes and aisles around, especially near front entrance area. The setup isn't anything like other HMart locations at all. However, it's still a great place to shop for Korean groceries and the food court has two restaurant options currently available. I noticed the employees here aren't as open or smiling like at other locations. Management here must be stricter I guess. It felt a bit more stricter at checkout lanes too. Security guard was present onsite. Produce and meats looked good. Banchan side dishes are always a favorite to grab and go. They have everything you need for Korean groceries and do pay attention to any marked deals. Aisles were a bit narrow though. I was more interested in stopping by the food court instead of shopping today. The place felt more empty at the beginning of the week. There were lots of available parking spaces in the parking lot which is usually packed on weekends. Overall, it's a good grocery store in this neighborhood.

I love visiting these type of ethnic stores which have so many unique items (for me) that are fun to discover and try. The staff was super helpful and helped me find what I was looking for. They also have some hot food options which is great.

This H Mart was the first one that opened up in the South Bay. It is located in a super busy, strip mall with a small parking lot. We'll, they do have additional parking spots to the right of the market. The aisles are kinda small and tight. This is a busy and popular Korean supermarket.

We've been to H Mart on the east, south and west coasts and this one is more of a Korean-Chinese grocery.

They had the usual array of nonstick pots, which don't work very well for me. They had a small but useful section for clay pots. I thought Amazon and AliExpress had overpriced clay pots, but I was wrong. These prices were significantly higher. I can only hope these are the best of the best. Checking up on 99 Ranch, I couldn't even find clay pots in there more limited kitchen utensil section. I ran across one item where knockoffs are ubiquitous. They've completely flooded AliExpress and you have to watch it with Amazon. Hankook had the authentic item and at significantly lower price than both Amazon and Aldi express. I found a tea section to be well stocked. I also recognize some of the tea brands. 99 Ranch has gone with lower cost options, but if you buy 6 ounces of tea, are you gonna be stuck with an enormous supply. Better to go with reliable brands that I have enjoyed in the past. I loved the produce section. It was nice and fresh. It also had wider selection of produce than other supermarkets. The store itself is stunning. The the aisles are spacious. The store is meticulously clean. The shelves are fully stocked. There were only about two items which were shopped out. The snack area and the frozen foods were even more interesting. It's obvious in those two sections that there were many more Korean brands. I should've tried some, but it's hard for me to resist snacks and there was a good chance that would finish the entire bag in one go. Better to skip it entirely. The parking lot for the supermarket is spacious. I had no trouble finding a spot even though I arrived in the late afternoon when everybody has gotten off work. I live about two hours away. And I am very jealous because there is no Hankook near me.

We have purchased a wok from here, twice, and they were reasonably priced (around $35 if I recall), and we got a spare lid for a reasonable price as well. They also have a lot of prepared foods, snack foods, etc. Everything is reasonably priced. They do have a large enough parking lot, and usually we park on the side to avoid the chaos.

The produce section was not as extensive as those at other Asian markets, but it was still adequate. However, the store carried many unique candies and snacks that I have not seen elsewhere. Notably, sakura flavored products were especially common during my visit. There were two large sections dedicated to premade meals, including rice bowls, hand rolls, onigiri, and sushi. The rolls seemed overly heavy on the rice, with relatively little fish filling. The prices also felt somewhat high for the portion sizes. However, the store offers a 20 percent discount on sushi and bento boxes daily after 6 PM. I ordered the nigiri combination, which included salmon, tuna, and scallop. The scallop was plump, and the tuna was sliced thickly. The salmon was slightly thin but still rich and fatty. Overall, the fish quality was good. The sushi rice was above average, with a distinct vinegar flavor despite being refrigerated. The total cost for the eight pieces was close to restaurant pricing, though the convenience factor partly justified it. I would rate this market a 3.5 out of 5 but rounded up for the good sushi rice. I would recommend shopping elsewhere for produce, but this is a good place for snacks and premade meals, especially after 6 PM.
