What a delicious experience at the 99 on Sunday! I came in with my wife and friend, me specifically for the Chicken Pot Pie. This is a comfort food only on 99's menu during fall and winter, though it is so tasty it should be a regular menu item. The chicken is a grilled breast meat and there's plenty of it. Peas and carrots generously surrounded by a gravy not too salty, seasoned just right. The crust is blanketed squarely over the top. The pie is served piping hot with a soup spoon along side the knife and fork so I did not have to miss a drop of my comfy meal, sounds cliche yet it's true, like a big hug for my taste buds, mmm good. Another excellent dinner tonight at the 99 and with Scott as our server. His timing was impeccable. Not once did we need to ask for a refill on drinks, not once did he offer refills either!, He just took the innitiative and dropped them off. I really appreciate the excellence. read more

This particular 99 seems to hold their own with University Students and area residences has a nice location and easy parking. The staff is very helpful and good has been consistently good. It's nice to enjoy the bar area on a Sunday not as crowded and they have specials on appetizers and drinks! Bartenders like Erin is pleasant and engaging! Plus very attentive! Awful! Do not buy . Man this dump has really fallen off , i got a chicken tender wrap and my wife chicken Caesar salad . My wrap came with maybe 2 tenders in it and tasted like it was made 5 hrs ago , and literally 10 fries . So stingy it makes 0 sense , my wife Caesar salad was frozen chicken soaked in Caesars dressing . Id rather starve than return to this dump. read more

The 99 is always a good classic week day go-to. The service has always been polite and sweet. Probably my top 3 favorite places to get takeout. The sauce portions are huge and so worth the added charge, not like other restaurants where they charge you $1.50 and give you not enough ranch for 3 bites. This 99 does it right! read more

I've been coming here for almost 3 years now so I'm a regular. The food is so good tonight I had T-Bone steak for the 1st time and it was delicious. Every waiter and waitress are so nice these people will bend over backwards for you. I give this place 5 STARS because everything is so good when I eat here excellent service is included. read more

Not generally a fan of the 99, but went in to this one since they were still serving after 10 on a Friday night. Pleasant, helpful waitress (Sam) provided quick service. We ordered fish tacos which were 3 well filled soft tacos with a citric rice to fill up the plate. Guacamole and sour cream on the side. $9.99 Also boneless buffalo strips from the appetizer menu which with the celery sticks was a meal in itself. $9.99 Key lime pie at the end looked interesting but was quite awful and not eaten. Went in with Dad and my son last week for dinner... It was a nice night and the Sox won (Shocking for this years record) so Kids eat free... Dad knows the Mgr so he came out & sat with us for a while, he was a nice guy! Food was as all 99's are... Our server was nice & efficient, considering I had to keep bugging her because my son wanted 17 bowls of wheat thins... So we ask if the potato skins are gluten free She comes back and says no they are not gf so we ask what is gluten free She come backs and say nothing is gluten free besides the lettuce wedge First you would think she would know about allergies And second they should have a menu with it on there So we thought let's start a new tread going out on a Friday night for drinks and lettuce !! This location was always a great go-to for good food done right and on time. Unfortunately the last 4 times, Including twice before COVID, have been less than we hoped for. I was disappointed with my visit. I ordered the sirloin and scallop special. The crumb topping on the scallops was burned and the scallops were dry and pretty tasteless. The sirloin was cooked reasonably well, but it was a cheap cut of fibrous meat. Service was so-so. When we ordered dessert, the waitress came back with the news that they only had one dessert left of the kind wanted. We agreed to the one. Shortly thereafter, the manager came over and told us that the one dessert ordered was not available. They had run out. To be fair, the waitress and the manager did what they could and took the price of my meal off the final bill. The manager also sent over a couple of deserts. They tried to make it right. The venue is pleasant, the staff tried, but I will stick to hamburgers and chicken wings from now on. I have never been disappointed in those menu choices. read more

While there are some issues with this place, the restaurant is a great spot in Bridgewater and has a great atmosphere on the weekend evenings. I'm sure it's the hangout for folks at the college as well.... Anyway, this little restaurant, while smaller than other 99's I've been to, has great character and is a goldmine for this area. There are very few inexpensive restaurants that aren't McD's or KFC in the surrounding area, so this place is really the only pub-like option. If you haven't been to a 99 before, they have a decent menu with sections like: chicken and turkey, burgers, seafood, salads, sandwiches and wraps, a gluten free menu, and always a few extras dependent upon the season. All classic american dishes served.... nothing out of the park different. At this specific location, food is fast and portions are large. Larger than some of the other 99 locations I've been to. That being said, this location had an issue with making my burger "to order". I specifically asked for it to be done medium-well, and it was well over that. -1/2 star for that. Servers, like Lexi, are very friendly, helpful, and like to get to know their customers, rather than just go through the rigamarole of a transaction. Definitely a good family atmosphere. The real only downfalls are that, being that this is the only restaurant of its type in the area is that it gets crowded on weekend nights and even walking in is tough (the entryway is overwhelmingly small). The parking lot is also a disaster, as one of the parking rows is a dead end! God help you if you have to turn around in the rain with many other cars around you trying to find spots or back out from their spots. Total nightmare. While the parking lot at my local 99 in Walpole is also small, it's at least set up well enough to be considered useful. -1/2 star for that. Overall, it's a pretty good experience and a good family restaurant in Bridgewater. It's especially good when the Kids Eat Free deal is eligible. 4 stars for the 99 in Bridgewater. read more

First time at this chain. I was craving a hamburger after shopping all morning and saw this place in the plaza and decided to try it out. Lots of parking since it's in a plaza. The staff were super friendly. The service was great. Fast and friendly. The food we ordered was pretty good. My burger was a bit chard around the edges but I was starving and ate it anyways. The chicken pot pie was piping hot and tasty. Really nice comfort food. It's a sports bar with TV's all around to watch. Would be a fun place to watch a game with friends. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the menu options, prices and quality of the food. I live out of state and have not been to a 99 in over 20 years. The scallops and prime rib dishes are very good. Decent size portions. Service was pleasant and excellent. French onion soup was surprisingly good. Did not like the chicken on the Mac and cheese. That was only negative. Back again, Took our dad out for dinner, 11/7/17 I would have probably have chosen prime rib again but not available on Tuesday. Regardless we all Chicken with Biscuits and Gravy. The food was once again outstanding. The amply portioned piece of chicken had a delightful flavor the southern style gravy, was thick and tasted outstanding, with sides of corn and mashed potatoes, it was a well portioned, very well presented meal. Our drawback was the service, on this occasion the server, ( forgot his name ) was far less than flawless. My dad ordered unsweetened tea, that was fairly easy, My wife asked for Sweet tea, He failed to mention it was not just tea but a mixture, my coffee tasted a bit old, and not freshly hot. He asked if we would like popcorn, then forgot to bring it till he walked by and we asked again. I got a 20 dollar fish plate, it's new on the menu, it's called the sweet potato encrusted haddock..... wow... it was not only COLD, but also UNDER cooked. I felt sick. The manager came around and asked if I didn't like it with a big smirk on her face, as if she knew it wasn't fully cooked. I said nah, it's cool, and I took it to go. The place is clean, friendly atmosphere, wide variety of food and AMAZING margaritas. They do pick-up orders which I do often because I live up the street. I've never had a problem here, the only reason I have 4 stars is because they're buffalo tenders aren't very good (which is my favorite food). They are just shaped oddly and kind of dry. Just wanted a bigger tip because it was a shift change and they probably had to split the tip, so sent the manager running out saying we didn't leave enough because one of the gift cards had nothing on it. We do visit this local chain often as usually it's a convenient and quick stop. This is not the case this week as they had us wait 20 minutes with our curbside takeout as they lost our credit card. Yup. The kicker is they gave it to another customer who drove off and hadn't noticed. Then they didn't seem to care that they breached our credit and now our dinner was cold. Customer, thankfully, on his own accord drove back with card. No Management apologies. Now we have to cancel our bank card. First time in my life we didn't tip. Food was as I said cold by the time I got home to serve family. So rating is less than 1 star. Probably would go back if manager seemed like they cared. This was not the case. The ninety nine left me quiet disappointed, especially compared to the Boston Tavern which isn't far away. The wait staff is friendly, and that's probably what saved it from getting 1-star. We got boneless wings and potato skins as appetizers, which were surprising not half bad. The entree however. I got the St. Louis ribs. AWFUL. I'm in grad school at Bridgewater State and frequent this establishment with other grad students after class. We always sit at the bar and the service is always fast and friendly. The drinks are strong and the bartenders are always willing to make recommendations. The food is decent, but nothing extraordinary however the popcorn that they give you to snack on is a nice touch.
