Sometimes you end up at the 99 Restaurant & that's okay. On this particular occasion, it was exactly what my friend & I needed. We were coming off a tough evening, so the friendliness we were greeted with from the door to the table was SO appreciated. Our server, Blake, was cheerful, funny, & attentive. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. He definitely has innate service-industry skills that not everyone is blessed with. Blake - You're the man. I ordered the bacon & cheese burger with a gluten-free bun. The menu clearly labeled which items could be altered to accommodate gluten sensitivities, which was very helpful. That being said, the options for sides were limited (either mashed potatoes or steamed broccoli). I went with the mashed potatoes & was glad I did. My meal wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was good enough & it was gluten-free, so it hit the spot. My friend ordered a fresh fruit sangria (I took a sip & it was tasty) & her absolute favorite - the crispy honey mustard chicken salad. She asked for extra dressing, & Blake did NOT disappoint her. She said it was great, per usual. When we received the bill there was a QR code on it, making it wicked easy to pay & get going. On our way out to our bikes, Blake chased us down because my friend had forgotten her phone at the table. So in conclusion: sometimes a reliable, chain restaurant meal is exactly what you need to turn your tough evening into a good evening, & that's what happened at the 99 Restaurant on Saturday. Did I mention that Blake was the bees' knees?

    Colossal lobster roll

Ordered a "colossal" lobster roll today and paid $40, including tip, in cash. I received 3.5oz of French fries, 5.5oz of lobster salad(including the container) and a side house salad. It was chocking to see how little food I got. I thought I got punked. Is this really what to expect? I can't believe what I got. I won't come back here and I've been a good customer. No thanks.

Hubby and I had never been to a 99 Restaurants before and decided to give them a try while on a New England road trip. We were seated immediately and quickly greeted by our server. We both wanted chicken tenders and figured it was a safe choice. He ordered the chicken tender meal with double French fries as his two sides. I ordered the appetizer chicken tenders without sides. I thought the popcorn instead of bread was a cool idea. The popcorn itself was good, buttery and good salt level. The chicken tenders came out within 10 minutes. Hubby's tenders were tossed in Buffalo sauce and were still crispy. The French fries were tasty, great dipped in Buffalo sauce. I ordered my tenders plain, not tossed in sauce. They were very crispy, almost too crispy. Also, some of the tenders were dry. The blue cheese, honey mustard and Buffalo sauce were all very tasty. Fast, friendly service and decent chicken tenders. I wouldn't necessarily seek out 99 Restaurants but would give them a second try.

The menu is underwhelming, doesn't have a lot to choose from. The food was blah. Was reminded why I haven't been to a pub 99 in years. The two stars are for the gold fever wings because that's all that worth eating there.

Ordered a "very well done" (first time ever hearing "VERY WELL") Vermont burger.

Ordered a "very well done" Vermont burger (first time ever hearing "VERY WELL"). Looks like we need some more training for the kitchen.

Service was outstanding and my favorite... The hot buttered lobster roll is back. Really.... All 3 bartenders were so friendly. My son and I really enjoyed ourselves... Plus The Master's was on. Doesn't get any better.... Golf, Lobster, beer and my son. Awesome!!! My favorite chain restaurant when they have the Hot Buttered Lobster Roll.

The schnitzel was nicely prepared with a side salad that was tasty and a decent mustard. The poutine fries were nicely done and fresh, but IMO, there was a bit too much gravy and not enough cheese curds on the poutine. That didn't stop us from devouring the whole thing though, it definitely was not bad. Ambience is chill with music playing at a lower volume. Mostly couples and small, chill groups in the spot. There was one small group with a baby but the baby was not overly loud or disruptive. Outdoor seating is available but we opted to be inside with the AC. Bartender seemed to be the only employee working both the tables and the bar and a little overwhelmed, so service was a bit slow. Would definitely stop back here and highly recommend the strawberry rhubarb brew! Clean, gender neutral restrooms.

The brewery was very busy and the line was long, with slower wait times, but the food and drinks were worth it. The buffalo chicken tenders were great quality, not overly spicy or salty, and came with a chunky, house-made blue cheese dressing. The bacon cheesy fries were a standout. The beer cheese was perfectly smooth and flavorful, topped with crumbled bacon and thinly sliced purple onion, which was surprisingly really good. I also tried the pomegranate Down East cider, a flavor I hadn't seen anywhere else, and it was my favorite I've had so far. Atmosphere was decent but on the smaller side. Overall a good experience, though not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to

With good reviews and a cool menu we dropped in and couldn't have been happier! We were pretty lucky as it was not that busy and we were able to get a table right away. The decor is eclectic and interesting. The staff came with a great smile and even better attitude; absolutely top notch! We started w the pretzels and beer cheese. Holy 6 pound baby Jesus they were good. They came out piping hot and the cheese was in a bubbling side dish. This isn't your typical dab of cheese in a plastic condiment container that is commonplace nowadays. I had the Arturo Sandoval (spin on a Cuban) as my entree and it was also fabulous and came out hot. If I was being critical, the pork was a wee bit dry, but that happens sometimes and it really didn't take away from the sando. Even the small side of pasta salad was outstanding. I'm lucky if I eat sides like that 1/100 times and this one I couldn't wait to finish. Great vibe, great staff, great food, and live music almost every day. Definitely gonna go back and if it's just as good will update to 5 stars.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon and was impressed by the amount of beers they had on tap and selection of local craft options. I tasted the barbecue wings and they were solid. My only negative for them would be they charged me extra for my side of ranch sauce ($.50). But I'll say that's outweighed by how cheap the beer prices are there, so overall net positive bonus points!! it's pretty far away from where I live, but wouldn't hesitate to go there again if I was ever in the area.

Unfortunately the day has come for my first ever 1-star review…read more A few weeks ago, I arrived (so hungry) at Cady's Tavern with a group of friends (also so hungry) for a quick bite to eat. At the door, we were stopped immediately & asked "do you have tickets" with no explanation to which we answered no. We were then told that the show inside was a ticketed show & therefore we couldn't come in. We explained that we were just there for dinner. The door person said we could order food out on the patio if we insisted, accidentally hitting me in the face as she was gesturing. So we maneuvered our way through the busy bar to the patio out back to scope out the scene. There were a few available picnic tables, so my group claimed one of them as I headed to the bar. I asked the bartender "can we order food here with you?" to which she answered yes, while eyeing me up & down. I asked for a few menus & 4 glasses of water for my group. The bartender instead gave me 4 bottles of water. Ugh. Back at our picnic table, I remarked out loud to my group "do I have something on my face?" because from the moment we entered the tavern, I felt like everyone (both staff & patrons) was examining me like a bug under a microscope. We fell into hangry silence as we checked out the menu & I noticed immediately that there were no allergy markings anywhere on the menu. I can't have gluten. It makes me very sick. I'm not happy about that - believe me! One of the greatest tragedies of my life was learning that I couldn't drink beer anymore. The menu is mostly pub classics & I really wanted a burger (I saw recently that Cady's Tavern was listed on a Yelp Collection for great burgers in the state). The menu said to "advise" my server of "any food allergies" & so I returned to the bar to ask about gluten-free accommodations. I explained the situation & asked very politely if there was anything they could do so that I could have the burger. I really miss being low-maintenance, but I know (having worked in the service industry for 15 years) that major changes are happening surrounding allergy awareness & accommodations. I've had burgers on lettuce "buns," burgers without buns, burgers on gluten-free buns, & other creative modifications at the most unlikely of places. So when I politely asked the bartender if they could modify the order because of my situation, she reacted like I had asked her the most outlandish question imaginable. She looked me up & down again, let out a rude "pffft" & said, "we don't do that kind of stuff here." I said "oh, okay" & walked away. I was shocked. I relayed the interaction to my group & we decided that we had no interest in ordering food. We paid for our bottles of water (UGH!) at $2 each & made our way back through the stuffy bar & out to the (unpaved) parking lot. The feeling that Cady's Tavern gave me was really horrible. The covert judgement, the overt impudence, & the implications on food safety & allergy awareness left me with a pit in my stomach. I always try to give businesses & their employees the benefit of the doubt when things go awry, but I don't think I can do that here.

This is a small eatery (I counted max 39 seats between tables and the bar) with difficult parking…read more I was able to get a spot right in front b because I went to lunch, but the parking lot has signs saying it is for employees of the wood shop next door, and no trespassing in the lot across the street, so I think street parking is the only option? Service is great, very attentive and friendly. The food is what earns this three stars. I tried a stuffie, German onion soup, a Farmhouse burger, and a key lime Mason jar. The stuffie was a little small, and most of the flavor was imparted by the ham and the squeeze of lemon. The German onion soup, I'm not sure why it was German except to not be French? Outside the name difference, the onions were way too large, and there was a total lack of flavor going on in the soup. The crock was very large too. The burger and fries looked pretty good, and I enjoyed the flavors here. The fries were rough hewn, so there was good crispness from all the edges. The toppings of the burger, and the bun, were also hearty. Unfortunately, my medium rare burger was more like raw meat with surface browning. I'm a big fan of rare steak, but ground beef needs a little more cooking. Also, the house made ketchup is really more of a marinara sauce. If I'd ended up eating more of my plate before they took it away to re-fire the burger, I would have asked to replace the ketchup. The key lime Mason jar was e everything you want to wrap up a meal. Great flavor, lightness, citrus. I did have to bring most of it home but, unlike the burger they brought back in a box, I'm excited to get back into the key lime. From an accessibility stand point, there is no ramp to get in nor handicap parking, so the evidently don't want your business. Once you're in, there are some seats you could get in, but if this place were full it would be difficult to navigate for anyone. The bathroom is a single room, but very spacious and nice. So, mixed bag for access. Your mileage may vary, but I'm not racing to return.
