I don't live far from 99 so to me it's convenient to either go there to eat or get take out. I've noticed the exact same meal ordering inside compared to the to go order and must say it's a shame. They charge the same if not more for take out but give a lot less food. I only took one picture from my last to go order. I wish I had taken one of each as they weren't nice. Not sure why the poor star rating exists but this place is great! We were craving boneless wings so we popped in here. Mary was our server and she was awesome! Super friendly and well trained! She showed us the off menu specials on a separate sheet and we chose strawberry and watermelon martinis. Our drinks tasted fresh and were poured to perfection We ordered an extra large order of honey barbecue wings. She suggested fries or Sam Adams tots. We went with the tots and they were super tasty! Highly recommend! A great place to stop in for families or couples! On the night we stopped in they were playing bingo. A fun atmosphere all around! We will definitely be back in soon! read more

hello, I just wanted to inform the people out there. I find this very interesting you purchase the they have the audacity to charge you $1.20 something to put the hot sauce on the chicken tenders myself won't be going to 99 if they have the audacity to charge me $1.20 to put hot sauce on what I order as buffalo tenders how ridiculous and cheap they can get, but obviously they're showing their true colors and I refuse to be part of that shame You should do better than that at least I thought you were better than that color like every other company out there just my opinion read more

Oh the frustration I have with this place sometimes. Ok so I went there recently in Fairhaven with my whole family and there was a few things I need to point out. First of all, the food my burger was over cooked 2ndly, I got the lemonade as well as my wife and kids and when our drinks were low or done the waitress came over with refills which at first glance was great we didn't have to ask ... BUT HERE IS WHERE THE ISSUE ARISES.. the lemonades aren't free refills. We assumed they were because why bring refills to a table when they didn't ask if they aren't free? I only found out they weren't free because she charged us for them which added another like $14-15 to the bill then lastly, it was the Red Sox win kids eat free day and again the waitress charged us for my kids meals and when I mentioned it she took the receipt and said "sorry I'll take it off" but was so rude about it and how she just snatched up the receipt then comes back and says "there your meals a lot cheaper now" with a tone like if I'm just cheap. I mean 99s advertises it so I should be allowed to get what's advertised. Idk it just made the experience annoying and makes me rather just drive an extra 10 min and go to Applebees instead. read more

The greeters are always cheerful and go out of their way to accommodate guest. Last Saturday was the last time that I'll ever go to 99. The server was very condescending and not very attentive. It must be a new practice at 99 that the server kneels at you table to speak to customers and take orders. Don't speak to you guest as if we are little children. The food delivery was very slow considering the restaurants was half full. Par for the course the French fries that came with my tuff (so tuff that the steak knife couldn't cut the piece of "Pub Steak") were old and barely room temperature. Vegan review: Let me preface this by saying that, I know that The 99 isn't really for vegans. That being said, this is 2016, and vegan is a huge food trend. I was impressed with the vegetarian options in the menu, however most of them seem to be based on the black bean burger patty and cheese. I asked our wonderful waitress, Stephanie, if she knew which options where were vegan. She told me she wasn't 100% sure and grabbed a manager. An assist manager came and told me, the whole "vegetarian menu" was for vegans. (I accidentally laughed out, that's like saying a Snickers bar is for someone with a peanut allergy.) I asked if she could check with the kitchen, she was nice about it consulted the allergy menu. When she came back she told me only the salads with no cheese would be vegan. In 2016, your only vegan option is a salad?!?! Pretty lame 99! Had this been 2006, maybe, but really? So I sat there eating my 'salad with hummus' while my friends drove into carb heaven. If this review only took into consideration the menu it would be a one star review. What save them was a helpful and friendly staff, especially Stephanie, and a very clean restaurant. A passion to serve The first Ninety Nine Restaurant was started in 1952 and there are now over a hundred of them throughout the North East. Their mission state is A Passion to Serve. Our waitress was very nice, pleasant and friendly and although a passion to serve might be a bit of hyperbole perhaps, she did seem to enjoy her job, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. To be honest the food at Ninety Nine Restaurant is a lot like what is available at a whole heap of other restaurants of this type. Good food but with a limited menu and nothing that is really going to get your attention. The prices are quite reasonable and pretty much what you would expect. The restaurant was very clean and had a rather odd but pleasant decor. At least the tables aren't all smushed together and you have room to spread out a bit. We don't go to Ninety Nine Restaurants very often because there always seems to be something around that we would rather have. But it certainly is a pleasant, clean and reasonably priced place for some decent food and friendly and attentive, if not passionate, service. read more

I went with a gf on a busy Friday night with no reservations. Still was seated within 5mins of arrival by a friendly host. Our waitress was on her A Game and helped us identify and order drinks we were looking for that were not on the menu. There was an issue with the cooking if my order, the manage came out and was honest in saying the Salmon was dropped. Offered us Salad or soup (we declined) while we waited the extra time for my order to he re-fired and my friend's as well so they'd come out at the same time. Both were excellent. We lingered and drank afterwards for a bit, enjoyed our very rare ladies night out. Definitely go again. I've been to this restaurant before and always been perfectly happy with the service. Last week I went in there though and after looking at the menu decided I wanted salmon fish and chips except they don't have that on their menu. They have salmon (grilled or baked I don't remember which) and they have fish and chips but not salmon fish and chips. I talked to our server who talked to the cook and she agreed to try and make it for me but she wasn't sure how well it would turn out. I was just thrilled they'd make me something that wasn't on the menu. It turned out great and I couldn't have been happier. I really appreciated the excellent customer service. read more

Ninety Nines are always usually good and this one is no exception. We got seated right away at 5:45. The restaurant was clean and the hosts were extremely friendly. The waitress brought us complimentary popcorn right away and took our drink order. We asked if our party could be split up and sit at different tables, because we needed more room and it was not a problem and they were very accommodating. The Red Sox won, so my kid ate for free, bonus. The potato skins were hot and delicious. The black bean burger with guacamole and a salad was excellent. The salad had my favorite, shaved parmesean cheese on it. It was perfect. The only thing was that bingo was going on in the bar as we were eating in the dining room and it was kinda loud and annoying. They have a huge bar too with excellent drink specials. I had a fantastic experience! The host, Trevor was so nice and courteous. He brought us to our table and talked to us on the way there. Really funny and relatable kid. You can tell he takes pride in his job. After we sat down we had Chezarae for a server and she was incredible too! She always stood on top of refills and made sure we were ok. My child spilt her drink and she dropped everything brought over napkins. She cleaned her own tables all the time and did her part while helping others. We saw Trevor running around grabbing to go bags later and it looked like he was running out to cars too. He looks like he can do it all! Stopped here today for lunch, and surprisingly wasn't that crowded. For those unfamiliar with the menu, they have appetizers: boneless wings in either "buffalo" or "gold fever" (honey bbq) flavor, potato skins covered with melted cheese and bacon,steak and four cheese flatbread, nacho chips covered in cheese, sliced jalapenos, beans, pico, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. There are also a large variety of entrees to pick from including chicken, grilled turkey tips, steaks, seafood, salad, wraps and sandwiches, a selection of "real entrees" (always changing) for $9,99 each, and pub style 1/2 pound burgers and sandwiches, and a kids menu.They have smaller "lunch portions" of some of the entrees on the back of the menu for those who aren't as big eaters as others. Don't forget dessert. They have hot fudge sundaes, apple crisp, and other desserts. I always find those to be WAY too big. Ask about their "petite treats", a selection of rotating smaller desserts that are just a few mouthfuls of something sweet. Beverages include Pepsi soda products, coffee, iced tea, as well as a full bar with beer and wine. Be sure to stop in on Thursday for trivia night, which features $0.50 wings, beer specials, and a quiz with a chance to win great prizes! Since 99 Restaurants are a chain, the food is going to be pretty much the same, no matter which location you visit (unless the chef is having an off day). Some of my favorite things to order are the boneless wings/ potato skins combo, baked haddock with bread crumbs, grilled turkey tips, or country fried chicken. Staff were friendly and food was good. Customer service here is terrible! Save yourself a trip and a headache, travel the 20-25 minutes and go to the one in Fall River. Consistently when trying to order on the go it takes 10-15 minutes on more than two occasions. In particular one girl who answers the phone will always put you on hold! Ridiculous! Ordered take out and they got my order wrong. I found out after I drove home. I walked in and ordered it with the hostess who made me wait to order because people walked in as I was about to place an order with her. She ignored me and told me to wait for her as she then sat them down. Weird vibe, she gave me no receipt for the food I just paid for. I then had to ask for one, the hostess showed me my receipt and told me it was the "99's". Like when was she trained, in customer service even? I called the restaurant immediately after arriving home with wrong food, and as I asked for a manager, the SAME host argued back to me and hung the phone up on me. I don't know a place that hangs up on paying customers, but seriously she hung the phone up, as I asked 4 times politely to speak to manager. Now being upset I had no food to eat at 8 pm, and had to repeatedly try to call back. Finally was connected to "Danielle". I told her that her employee hung the phone up on me and she told me she would speak to the young girl (hostess). Overall left a bad taste and haven't been back since. This is how places lose $$, the rude help. Personally speaking the host should be fired or yet retrained on HOW to do her job friendly and correctly. we've been dining at 99 for years and the fairhaven restaurant is our favorite. we have yet to get a bad meal here. we always order steak and haven't been disappointed. cooked to order, hot mashed potatoes and prompt drink refills. my only complaints are i wish they served a good bread with the meals and they could have a better dessert selection. other than that, it's a good place for a decent steak dinner with quick service. other favorites are the buffalo wings, lettuce wedge w/blue cheese and bacon and the french onion soup for apps. read more
