I started with a cup of seafood chowder... it was ok, not too thick, plenty of potato cubes, just needed a little salt, quite filling. Had cauliflower tacos for my meal. I gotta give this place props! I called with a party of NINE and asked if they could seat us ASAP this past Sunday. The girl was super nice on the phone. A DRASTICALLY different experience than I had had ten min earlier with a crew member of "Original Joes". That'll be in a different review lol So to continue, she was super nice on the phone and extremely accommodating. She told me to come on over. That it would just be a little wait. That was no problem with us. They had us seated in no less then 15 min which imo was AWESOME for a huge party like that at such short notice. The servers were FANTASTIC!!! I CANNOT stress that enough! They were prompt and very pleased despite seeming VERY overworked. The food is at best "okay". If you are looking for a spot simply for "drinks" during happy hour this may be a spot to consider. More importantly I have experienced racism from a bartender at this location on a few occasions but because as black man in smaller areas I sometimes experience small minded people I tend to over look obvious things. What made me done with this place is when I stopped in and I witness with my own two eyes also heard how this same bartender was extremely rude to another older black man at the bar one day during happy hour- she was so rude I was so very close to saying something to her. I typically love this chain restaurant but this location sucks. They had my food delivered to the wrong house admitted their error said they would refund never did. When I called about refund they said they would mail gift card never did. I figured i would try again with curbside pick up and they missed multiple items yet again and when i called they brushed me off stating a refund would be given but yet again none was. Even though the Ninety Nine is a chain restaurant and you can expect the same at any of their locations, I do enjoy this one. Even if there is a line out the door, it moves quickly, less than 15 mins and you should have a table. They recently remodeled this restaurant a bit, new booths and artwork on the walls. They took down the airplanes that used to hang from the ceilings (how sad). But the food is good quality and always fills me up. I enjoy their garlic mashed potatoes and honey mustard chicken wraps. They have a full liquor bar and you can hang out in there and watch any of the tvs. There's also tvs around the restaurant but it has a more upscale appeal than a typical sport's bar. I love to get the strawberry lemonade. It comes in a fancy glass with a cherry and lemon. read more

Dartmouth's Route 6 corridor is a culinary wasteland (Joe's excluded), so you'll have to deign to a chain restaurant if you're in the area. Along with Ruby Tuesday, this is one chain that's always acceptable, and sometimes surprisingly good. The menu is overwhelmingly large, but there are some good options -- I like the country fried chicken the best, and the gold fever wings (honey BBQ to the rest of us) are pretty good too. I have to knock it down one star though, because service is inconsistent -- most of the waitstaff is good, but I've had a few too many waitpersons that failed to shine. The tables, bar and floor are sometimes a little too dirty, as well. Not "health code violation" dirty, but not the best feeling for ambience purposes. read more

I remember going to Pub 99 about 20 years ago. The steak tips were some of the best around. I went today for lunch, and I don't know how a restaurant can go so far completely in the other direction. The steak tips were either from frozen or from yesterday, and the cut of mean was so tough, it could not have been steak tips. What happened? I can never recommend Pub 99 again. read more

Just arrived in town amd this place was right next to my hotel. Considering it was 7:30 on a Sunday night, it was fairly busy. I had to sit at the bar but service was good. Ordered the St Louis ribs since they were out of prime rib. It was pretty good and very tender. For $15.99, it came with 4 pairs of ribs, choice of potato and vegetable. For the money it was ok. They should have included a salad to make it a better deal. You can make it a combo for $3.99 and get a small salad and petite desert (whatever tthat is). For being busy this late at night on a Sunday, there other offerings may be good. read more

I do not recommend. My other half and I are driving around on a Saturday looking for a lunch spot. He says, "How about 99." We have both never been there. Go inside, they tell us a 15 minute wait. We stop in the bathrooms, which are awkwardly what seems to be through the kitchen. People were swinging doors, I was surprised I didn't get hit. The bathrooms were not very clean, just adequate. We walk back through the kitchen to sit and wait for our table, and can't help but notice numerous booths open. It seems weird to have a wait if there are numerous booths open. Most of the booths had piles of dishes on the tables. It was unbelievable. The manager just stood in the front not helping. Fifteen minutes later our buzzer goes off and we are seated. Everything was just adequate. After we ordered, I kept hearing other waiters verbalize the specials which our server did not. All the servers were running around and looked swamped or "in the weeds." Of course more people finished eating around me, and all the dirty plates just sat on the table. I had a Pepsi. They don't carry coke products. The side salad was okay. I asked for ranch, I am almost positive they gave me Parmesan peppercorn, or maybe because there were huge shards of Parmesan cheese on my salad, I should have just gotten Parmesan peppercorn. Fried mozzarella, okay. More Parmesan allover the dish! My husband got steak tips, they were okay. I had the chicken tenders. Yuck, horrible. I maybe ate one. I don't know why they were horrible just couldn't eat them. They tasted strange. The fries were good, I filled up on those. They also brought huge portions of honey mustard and buffalo sauce on the side. Like HUGE portions in huge ramekins. My husband asked for another soda pop, she said she'd be right back. She didn't come back for almost ten minutes after he was done eating, she asked how is everything with the empty glass on the end of the table. Forgets his drink and doesn't notice the empty cup. Five minutes later she asks if we need anything again, she says she'll get him another soda. Well, duh. Thanks. By this time we do need the soda. I put my card at the end of the table, we probably waited fifteen minutes before she came back with his soda pop. Takes my card. Comes back. Waste of $43. I do not recommend. No one wants to look at dirty dishes while they're eating. I'm not sure why these waiters were running around looking so busy. read more

My husband and I went to your restaurant yesterday, August 17, 2014. We were celebrating our belated 53rd wedding anniversary. We had the most awesome waitress, Jane. There was not enough she could do for us. She was most attentive, didn't smother us with checking on us every few minutes but adequately. I had the seafood platter along with the extra (getting the salad and dessert). My husband had the prime rib along with getting the salad and dessert. Everything was fantastic.
