Had a very nice dining experience at 99 in Londonderry this evening. My friend and I received prompt and courteous service from Adison M who greeted us quickly and checked in on us frequently. We are part of the rewards program so this visit we were able to receive a $12.99 app without charge when we ordered an entree. I had the Chicken Fajita Flatbread which was very good. My friend had a Lobster Flatbread that was also very good. They were both a little cool in temperature when they came to our table. My friend recommended the Chicken & Sausage Al Forno since she had enjoyed it before. This pasta dish is very hearty & we each took half home. It came out piping hot. The good thing is that it is on the $14.99 big deal menu. Sadly, it is only offered from Monday to Wednesday. There is plenty of parking in their private lot. Will happily return. read more

It took quite a while before our drink order was taken and quite a while before they were delivered and once they were delivered, the server took off before we could place our dinner order. after land forgot the server arrived at our table to take our order and we decided that we had waited too long and just wanted to get out of there. So sad... On a chilly Monday evening when the bar was 1/3 full it took well over 10 minutes to get a drink. The bartender covering our half of the bar was kind of spinning in circles, she would pick up a dirty plate next to us but didn't look up to make eye contact and would just sputter behind the bar. The 99 is one of my go-to spots in town for lunch and dinner! This restaurant and bar can get busy on the weekends, so I try to stop here for lunch or late night dining including sitting up at the bar as a last resort, if there is a wait for a table. They also have outside dining too in the parking lot (2020) due to COVID-19. The dine-in service on each of my visits has been pleasant and efficient. However, I've ordered plenty of curbside takeout from the Londonderry 99 during the pandemic and the service is usually good and prompt during the mid-afternoon when it's not busy, but when there are several other vehicles also waiting in the parking lot for takeout, things can be delayed from payment processing to delivering food to my vehicle. As for the food, I enjoy their seafood chowder, chicken parm, baked schrod, country fried chicken, and their petite treat desserts. The portion sizes can vary depending on what is ordered. The country fried chicken dinner with sides is a good portion of food, but the portion of buffalo mac & cheese with no sides is very small, not real size, for the price. The menu is limited for now due to the pandemic. Complementary popcorn is usually provided at my table or with my takeout orders. For the foreseeable future, I will only do takeout. A concern of mine for outdoor dining is, the cleaning and sanitizing of tables and seats. On my last visit while waiting for my takeout food in the parking lot, I witnessed an employee wipe down the seats first, then the table surface with the same towel? I worked in food service many years ago and I used separate sanitized towels to wipe the tables and seats, or if using one sanitized towel, wipe the table(s) first, then the seats afterwards. read more

Went to try one of the new menu items (menu was released Monday - this is Wednesday). I chose the Twin Catch, which according to the menu is "A classic New England favorite. Baked North Atlantic cod paired with tender shrimp and crusted with herb-seasoned breadcrumbs and butter. Served with one side." Sounds great. I received something that looked nothing like the item in their menu, but rather a casserole dish with crumbs burned black on top. Waitress told me that is the way she likes her bread crumbs. Haven't been there in a while. Sat at the very large bar which I like a lot. Just got a simple burger and wow was very impressed on the charcoal flavor. Even tho the bar had a lot of people with only one bartender on duty, she did a great job. Never had to call her over she was on her game. The food is decent - not like it used to be. I used to love the chicken wrap but they've changed something about it and the lettuce always tastes rotted. Today we came by for dinner and the service was poor. 3 of our meals came out and it took another 10 minutes to receive the last 2. The waitress didn't even acknowledge the wait. Our family of 10 celebrated Father's Day at this 99 in Londonderry. We called ahead, but because of Covid-19 restrictions we couldn't sit together. The manager, who was very helpful, suggested we sit at the bar. There were plenty of seats and we could sit together. We had a great time, there were 3 generations of fathers in our group, great grandfather, grandfather and new father. The servers brought a little booster chair for the baby and he sat on the floor between the stools. The food was great and the staff at the 99 Was so accommodating and pleasant. We had a perfect day. Fish taco meal was actually a lot larger than anticipated. Great slab of fried fish on each taco and good flavoring. Chicken Mac and cheese was okay. The chicken was breaded and dry as a bone. Almost zero flavor. We picked out the chicken and just ate the Mac and cheese alone. A bit of a waste. We would come back to this location. read more

The Happy Hour that is advertised is very disappointing and also deceptive. Nowhere is it stated that you must actually sit at the bar to get Happy Hour pricing. I guess it doesn't matter that much anyway, since their happy hour is a joke, with only a few appetizers available at a reduced price. They make up for that by inflating the price of a glass of wine to $13.98 per glass. Of course, wine is listed on the Happy Hour menu to make you think it's priced lower, but you would be wrong! No price is listed for the drinks that are on the Happy Hour menu. The service was also sub-standard. After being given a Happy Hour menu by the bar tender Mary, we were ignored for the next 15 minutes while she spent time with customers who were apparently regulars. We finally got her attention to ask for water and regular menus, and then only one of us got water. My husband never did get a water, even after requesting one a second time. He also only got half of his food order and again had to flag down our bar tender to get the rest of his order. The marinated turkey tips are to die for. I had them tonight and I could cut them with a butter knife, so so tender and tasty. My husband the broiled sirloin tips. He loved them. After having been gone from New England for the last 8 years, we got off the exit for Londonderry and we all agreed on the 99 for lunch. It's similar to Applebee's and Chilis; just good pub food but we don't have it in Florida. I used to come here as a kid all the time for cheese & crackers and chicken fingers! I was already talking about cheese and crackers when we got out of the car! For a Sunday afternoon we were immediately seated. I love that they had the restaurant decorated with pictures of Londonderry sports teams. It showed a great sense of pride in their town you don't typically see in chain restaurants. They are also advertising free kids meals if the Red Sox win! That's a lot of free meals!! We were brought popcorn to the table which is complimentary and our waitress asked if we wanted crackers & cheese for an additional 99 cents. Of course I was screaming yes before she had even finished asking the question. My dad had to explain how I loved them as a kid, we had grown up here, moved away and we were only back now for his mother's funeral. Our waitress was immediately sympathetic and gave us two bowls for the price of one! Honestly these cheese and crackers are nothing special, they're wheat thins and cheese wiz basically. But I had a cheese obsession as a kid and there's the nostalgia of always looking forward to them. For lunch I had their Vermont cheddar burger topped with bacon, cheddar, caramelized onions and Vermont maple mayonnaise. This was a great burger! The patty was really thick, juicy and seasoned really well! When you're starving anything is good but this was really good! The bacon was crispy and I loved the maple mayonnaise! Take out. Got home to find the Ultimate Lobster and Shrimp Topped Sirloin has absolutely zero lobster and just 2 shrimp for $34! Lobster Crowned Seafood Stuffie claims descripton "plently pf scallops, shrimp and spices" is totally misleading. The tiny scallop shell was filled with bread stuffing and a sprinkle of lobster $19. No sign of scallops nor shrimp. Called the manager (Amanda) to report the problem and she was not apologetic.
