Iconic place! Must stop , great food. Awesome onion rings! And of course root beer in a frosted mug!

Great classic all American joint! Was stuck at the hospital across the street and asked the nurse where to eat. She said this place and not was she right. I love the vintage look, car service and the prices are unbeatable! Loved the chicken strips and honey mustard. My dad ordered the bacon cheeseburger, fries, hot dog and root beer. He enjoyed everything! This place is great if you want fast food the way they made in back in the 50s - as my dad says. It was a nice place that was nostalgic.

All the Yums go to Frostop! Great place to stop for an in or out of town snack, and so cheap! The staff here run their butts off, and they really deliver a great experience! Sauce = chili!

My dad had surgery at St Mary's and one day I decided to do a hotdog sauce crawl. I tried four spots in Huntington that day. I grew up in Russell and had never had Frostop that I can remember. What a fun find. I'm Kentucky we put the sauce on top so it was fun seeing it different. The root beer was so so good. I'll definitely have to stop again at his next doctor visit Thank you for being a fun place for customers for so many years. So many towns aren't lucky enough to have so many mom and pop places anymore

We drove here from Dayton, Ohio and it was worth the drive! The last time I had Frostop Root Beer was around 40 years ago in Springfield, Ohio. I'm glad to report that it still tastes as good as it did back then. My wife and I both had coney dogs with fries and onion rings. I even tried a corn dog and all of the food was tasty and well prepared. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They even took pictures of us with the restaurant in the background. Next time we are in the mood for a little drive, we will be going here for a cold root beer!

Large drink and stayed very cold I must say a time after you are done and have left from there.

Have to say Why didn't I try this when I lived here! The food was amazing for the price and service was better than a lot of places I have went in and sat at to eat of late. Not sure if it's year round place but, love how they come to your car and gives that earlier years of how our elders ate at places and enjoyed going out.

Frostop. One of Huntington oldest drive inns has great hotdogs and fries. Old fashion curb service and car hops. Located on 16th street, not hard to find off of I-64. Location: 1449 Hal Greer Blvd, Huntington, 25701 We had the slaw dog and onion rings and the service was so quick and the food yummy. Our total was $7.50 for all our food which is a deal. Everything clean and your order was taken from car and all the areas closed due to Covid but the restroom which was very clean.

My son gave Frostop a 9.9 out of 10. He took off .1 points because he thought it took a little too long for the food, lol. The hot dog was exactly what I would expect a standard WV dog to taste like. It had a nice and sweet slaw, which is always a plus. You can't beat the prices. Two hot dogs, two drinks, mozzarella sticks and baby corn dogs for $13!

Areas best root beer and a a good hot dog and cheeseburger. More partial to Midway or Sams. The other top dog is no longer in my vocabulary.

Good food for the fact that it is a drive in hotdog shop the only thing that was noteworthy is that they make their own rootbeer

I'm always bummed when I get one that isn't made quite right, and this one perfectly met my expectations. For an appetizer, my friends and I shared the fried pickles, which were great. For my entrée, I ordered the pan-seared salmon, which came with gurkensalat and herbed spätzle. The salmon was a bit tinier than I was expecting, so I wasn't sure if it would fill me up, but the salmon mixed with the delicious sides did the trick! I was very unfamiliar with herbed spätzle, but it was one of my favorite parts! It complemented the salmon quite nicely. The only part of my experience that wasn't great was how hot it was where we were seated. I'm wondering if the AC was busted. Despite that bummer, I was still very impressed with this place!

Even once we were seated the server was telling us that the kitchen was a bit backed up so that is why our food was taking a little longer. Our waitress was nice and friendly. She gave us honest opinions about the items on the menu, which is always great to have. We ordered the Meggie's Bread Sticks with Cheese as our appetizer. It was delicious, especially with the added cheese. It came with some red sauce stuff to dip the bread sticks in. The pizza we got was the 14 inch Gladiator. It had 6 slices. It was good, but a bit messy (and hot when it first came out). At the end we ordered the Backyard Hay Stack (minus the nuts). That was really good as well and we devoured it. The ambience was good. It was a little loud, however it was crowded. There was a little astronaut theme going on here. I recommend coming to Backyard Pizza.

Great atmosphere, but serious seafood safety concerns…read more I really wanted to love this spot the vibe is fun, the service was decent, and the menu looked promising. But unfortunately, I had a serious issue with the mussel dish I was served. When the bowl arrived, most of the mussels were completely closed, which is a huge red flag for anyone familiar with seafood. As a general food safety rule: if a mussel doesn't open during cooking, it was likely dead before being cooked and it's unsafe to eat. I flagged it right away to avoid getting sick, and while the server acknowledged it and took off $4, that felt like a very minimal gesture for a dish that could have caused food poisoning. I'm grateful I caught it before taking a bite, but serving unopened shellfish isn't just a minor mistake it's a health hazard. The cream sauce itself was tasty, and the bread was good, but the overall experience left me cautious. If you're ordering seafood here, I recommend checking your plate carefully or maybe just skipping it altogether until kitchen safety improves. Hoping they step it up. Food safety isn't negotiable
