Iconic place! Must stop , great food. Awesome onion rings! And of course root beer in a frosted mug!

Great classic all American joint! Was stuck at the hospital across the street and asked the nurse where to eat. She said this place and not was she right. I love the vintage look, car service and the prices are unbeatable! Loved the chicken strips and honey mustard. My dad ordered the bacon cheeseburger, fries, hot dog and root beer. He enjoyed everything! This place is great if you want fast food the way they made in back in the 50s - as my dad says. It was a nice place that was nostalgic.

All the Yums go to Frostop! Great place to stop for an in or out of town snack, and so cheap! The staff here run their butts off, and they really deliver a great experience! Sauce = chili!

My dad had surgery at St Mary's and one day I decided to do a hotdog sauce crawl. I tried four spots in Huntington that day. I grew up in Russell and had never had Frostop that I can remember. What a fun find. I'm Kentucky we put the sauce on top so it was fun seeing it different. The root beer was so so good. I'll definitely have to stop again at his next doctor visit Thank you for being a fun place for customers for so many years. So many towns aren't lucky enough to have so many mom and pop places anymore

We drove here from Dayton, Ohio and it was worth the drive! The last time I had Frostop Root Beer was around 40 years ago in Springfield, Ohio. I'm glad to report that it still tastes as good as it did back then. My wife and I both had coney dogs with fries and onion rings. I even tried a corn dog and all of the food was tasty and well prepared. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They even took pictures of us with the restaurant in the background. Next time we are in the mood for a little drive, we will be going here for a cold root beer!

Large drink and stayed very cold I must say a time after you are done and have left from there.

Have to say Why didn't I try this when I lived here! The food was amazing for the price and service was better than a lot of places I have went in and sat at to eat of late. Not sure if it's year round place but, love how they come to your car and gives that earlier years of how our elders ate at places and enjoyed going out.

Frostop. One of Huntington oldest drive inns has great hotdogs and fries. Old fashion curb service and car hops. Located on 16th street, not hard to find off of I-64. Location: 1449 Hal Greer Blvd, Huntington, 25701 We had the slaw dog and onion rings and the service was so quick and the food yummy. Our total was $7.50 for all our food which is a deal. Everything clean and your order was taken from car and all the areas closed due to Covid but the restroom which was very clean.

My son gave Frostop a 9.9 out of 10. He took off .1 points because he thought it took a little too long for the food, lol. The hot dog was exactly what I would expect a standard WV dog to taste like. It had a nice and sweet slaw, which is always a plus. You can't beat the prices. Two hot dogs, two drinks, mozzarella sticks and baby corn dogs for $13!

Traveled all the way from Poughkeepsie,New York to try this place. The drive in part and the atmosphere was really cool, the service was great and fast. The reason why I had to take off a couple of stars is the food was horrible. The tasted like Sams or Costco food out of the frozen food sections. But I have to give them credit their Root Beer floats are much better then A&W

Good food for the fact that it is a drive in hotdog shop the only thing that was noteworthy is that they make their own rootbeer

The delicious rich flavors and extensive drinks is why. When I say the pretzel is so authentic and the whipped raspberry honey butter phenomenal. I ordered a burger with meat candy (bacon) which wasn't added to the burger. Our waiter promptly brought it out on a plate and it was black and tasted burnt. The burger had a very odd flavor that was not good at all. I'm typically not too picky but I left half of it on the plate. We first tried this place in June 2025 and fell in love with the food. However, it seems to have gone downhill every time we've returned. The service has always been less than desirable, but the food has made up for it until last night. Unfortunately money is too hard to come by these days, and I don't like giving it to places that don't seem to care enough about their product or customer service and satisfaction. This place ain't cheap either! We won't be back. Hopefully they'll figure out a way to turn it around sooner than later.

Even once we were seated the server was telling us that the kitchen was a bit backed up so that is why our food was taking a little longer. Our waitress was nice and friendly. She gave us honest opinions about the items on the menu, which is always great to have. We ordered the Meggie's Bread Sticks with Cheese as our appetizer. It was delicious, especially with the added cheese. It came with some red sauce stuff to dip the bread sticks in. The pizza we got was the 14 inch Gladiator. It had 6 slices. It was good, but a bit messy (and hot when it first came out). At the end we ordered the Backyard Hay Stack (minus the nuts). That was really good as well and we devoured it. The ambience was good. It was a little loud, however it was crowded. There was a little astronaut theme going on here. I recommend coming to Backyard Pizza.

We met a former WWE wrestler who was sitting at a table, too. But back to the restaurant - the flavor is there. My one issue the bottom of the pizza dough was very flimsy on both pizzas we ordered (Kale braised and the gladiator) so the cheese and toppings slid right off when taking the first bite. Like I said the flavor is there though. Had the peddler red IPA and it was terrific. Also had a very tasty kale salad. If they get a nice soft but firm bottom to the pizza slices, this place would be a 5/5. Would we return, yes!
