Purchased F-350 King Ranch DRW from Jason. Asked multiple times for them to do basic service on transmissions and differentials. They refused and said that mechanic did a thorough inspection and service. Front differential, (ring, pinion, bearings), hub, axle shaft bearing, and obviously 4WD all failed less than 3000 miles from purchase due to mud and water inside which they never noticed or serviced. Definitely never serviced vehicle properly in spite of recommended service intervals. EGR Cooler also plugged within same time frame - along with driveline u joints that failed and froze. Needed $7000 in work. Truck was driven hard off road prior to purchase without any service and/or involved in a flood. Even the most basic items like the fuel filters never were serviced. Ford recommends fuel filters be changed every 22k. The fuel filter on frame was dirty and nasty - probably hadn't been changed in a very long time. Definitely not at my purchase. Had to call multiple times to get license plate as they never sent out.... finally received after temp tags expired. Will you trust A1 or their mechanic knowing that he let all this go ? I've been feeling the pain of A1 Motors for over 6 years. This is not a smear against the company, rather this is truth and I feel compelled to warn those who like me, were just looking to get on the road. In 2013... I had Zingerman's (Ann Arbor Restaurateurs) come to my farm with their brand new $100,000 tractor & plow up over 2 1/2 acres and get it ready for planting. I used to be a Chef and had several restaurants owned by friends lined up waiting for me to grow unique produce for them. I was also working for the Zingerman's Produce farm hence why they were helping set up our farm. Great business and business owners! I had an old rusty dusty Ram 2500 that broke down and I needed a new truck to run the farm. I needed to haul large loads, trailers and more to really build up the farm. So I drove down to A1 in Monroe and met with Rory? or something like that. They showed me a beautiful F350 with the Triton V10. Now I was hesitant as I wanted Diesel but the deal was pretty good and the truck was in a really great condition. I figured I could use it for a few years and sell it once we saw a ROI from the farm. Well I took it home and no title for 4 months. 4 MONTHS! I couldn't drive it on the road unless I was being followed by my wife since it was not registered and had no plates. We ended up having to scrap our entire farm project as I had no other truck to get to and from sites with. I should have gotten a lawyer and sued them for Fraud. If I only knew what I know now. I'm sure this has not happened to everyone but to those out there that have been burned by this unprofessional organization I feel for you. I lost the farm, couldn't do anything without a truck! Could not afford the payments as I had to go back to work in restaurants for next to nothing. Now I have a repossession on my Credit and I cannot, 6 years later, purchase ANYTHING! I worked with Bill Mason last week and had a good car buying experience. I was looking for a 2015 Audi with low miles, and this dealer had one priced well. When we contacted the dealer initially, we got a response that evening. The dealer is open on Saturdays so I was able to test drive the car that weekend. Bill and the owners were patient with my questions and explained the process to me in a way that was helpful and not condescending. This is important to me as this was my first car buying experience. I was able to call the dealer a handful of times the morning I was buying the car. When I arrived to sign papers and pick up the car, Bill had all the documents ready and went through each one with me. I would definitely work with this dealer again read more

AVOID THIS PLACE! I bought a vehicle from here and it was an absolute nightmare. The guy who runs the place, Romy, was the WORST. He has the worst customer service and he cannot stop lying. It's been over 20 days and our transaction is STILL NOT COMPLETE! The vehicle was supposed to be delivered to me and it took one entire week to do so, after numerous times of Romy telling me that it would be delivered "in the morning" then "the afternoon" and later "that evening", then next day and so on and so on and so on. He was FULL of excuses too, it was ridiculous. So many broken promises and guarantees, what a joke. Not A SINGLE THING HE SAID WAS TRUE, EVER! Then he said he would refund my down payment for all the trouble, well, 20 days later and still no refund. Again, plenty of excuses he has, none of them acceptable or believable. Same thing with sending me the new plate, "it'll be there tomorrow, i promise", for days it went on like that. Same thing with him sending over the service contract info, it was like pulling teeth to get him to do his job. This guy wasted several days of my life and work with his lies and empty promises. Even the car itself had issues that seemed slight but ridiculous when viewed with all of the other BS surrounding the deal. For example, delivered with empty tank of gas, no floor mats and was even missing all 4 valve stem caps for the tires. I took screenshots of our entire back-and-forth conversations and it reads like a horrible joke... This guy is bad news and I wish I had never dealt with him. read more

Truck was over priced and had to bring it to a show to get new PSI sensors which the King Rat himself, sure some of you know the guys name wink wink, said he would replace. Got a little nervous when they told me I couldn't have my mechanic look at it. They told me this was standard and that nobody lets that happen. Awfull, The worst experience at a dealership ever! The salesmen are jerks! All we did is ask a question and the salesman, Stanley, was very defensive. He yelled and said that we were trying to get something for nothing! He wasn't going to put one since dime more into that vehicle! We did not even discuss price yet! All we said to him that we thought the tires looked pretty bad. And that was their response! They said "what do you want us to about it?" I was in desperate need of a new car. A few days prior, I lost $1,200 at Suburban Chevrolet Cadillac (Ann Arbor) buying one of their rigged-up lemons that broke down the next day. Penniless and with a 595 credit score, I went to A1 since I heard they had guaranteed financing, although I didn't want to be screwed with 14.9% APR and an overpriced car like George's Used Cars (Brownstown) tried to offer me. The salesman at A1 was very helpful and listened to what I wanted. He showed me a reasonably priced, low-mileage 2013 Chevy Spark that would cost me $200 a month with 10.9% APR. I had two junk cars (one from Suburban), and he offered me $1,500 total for a trade-in, plus a $500 discount if I signed that very day. Even though I didn't have any money for a down payment, he told me I could pay the down payment of $500 within 30 days. My first monthly payment would not be for 6 weeks. The Chevy Spark was a manual, which I was unfamiliar with how to drive. One of the workers took me for a lengthy test drive and basically taught me how to drive the car. I brought the car home having paid $0 upfront. That was over a year-and-a-half ago, and the car has been running perfect. read more

We had very specific criteria for what we were looking for in our next used vehicle and were having a very hard time finding exactly what we wanted. After calling a number of dealer ships that basically blew me off, I contacted A1 Motors in Monroe (1.5hrs from my home town). Like every other dealership, A1's listing wasn't exactly what I was looking for but I hoped that they would at least discuss options. From that first call to the final signature they went above and beyond what I would expect from any dealership. I always buy used because of the mileage I put on my vehicles each year. I have bought from a number of the "big" dealerships in the past and frankly I've never been treated this well, even when buying a very expensive luxury car. FIVE STARS! TWO THUMBS UP! We had bought a 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 from them back on March 10,2014 with in a week we had to have the car tow to the shop to get fix it was a electrical problem and it was in the shop for 2 days and It cost me $350.00 to fix. Yesterday we had to have the car tow again to the shop to get fix and they don't know what was wrong with it. I would not suggest anyone go there to buy a car..
