It isn't the best pizza I've tasted but it is the best pizza place in Lyndhurst so I'll give them 5 stars. They have $7.99 specials for large pie certain for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Ever since I moved to Lyndhurst, I've tried a few pizza places but A-1 is the best!! It's thin and crunchy and if you want it to bit more crunch to it, you'll get it. I always ask for crispy crust and it's perfect! They are quick and the price is on point! I always stick with plain or pepperoni because that's my personal favorites. They are open til late which always comes in hand. Definitely recommend them! read more

We love the pizza here but we recently ordered a chicken parmigiana dinner and it was awful. The chicken was over cooked and we could probably have used it as soles on the bottom of our shoes. We may return here but only for pizza. read more

Delicious pizza! I became a little concerned after ordering because of some of the other reviews but we were told 35 min and it came sooner. The pizza was definitely greasy but it's pizza! My second time ordering from here and my very last. Never again! I had a coupon for their special #3 which is a large pie with 12 wings and a 2liter soda for $17.99. I called in told the guy on the phone i had the coupon and specified the coupon. No problem he said. Delivery guy shows up and the total amounts to $19.99 plus tax. So i mention hey the coupon is for $17.99..he calls the pizzaria up hands me his cell and the guy proceeds to say oh their menu had changed..so i simply say ok, just next time tell your customers over the phone about price changes especially when i informed him of the coupon i had while placing the order. I proceed to sign the recipt...delivery guy rudely asks , oh are you going to give me a cash tip?... ..before even giving me chance to give a tip. So i respond , actually its free delivery as per the menu..the nerve of him asking! He wouldnt leave my steps and kept saying oh no you have to tip me you have to...I follow to tell him to get off my steps and its not mandatory not after this and slam the door. How dare he? Ive always tipped for deliveries even when free but not if I'm disrespected and i was misinformed about menu prices, they are lucky to have my money or anyones by any means. The order of wings were a measly size of chicken wings..ive never seen wings so small before. They werent even cooked properly and they provided no dipping sauce for them. The pizza was decent as it was the first time. But after this type of service and lack of decency i will never order from there again. Plus when i called to complain about the delivery guy, they didnt seem to care much. The right thing from the start should have been to correct the amount to the coupon price since it did not have an expiration date. No decency to heat the pie a little longer so it wouldn't be SOGGY. Soggy *greasy* wet pizza. Also - we asked for extra sauce - none was given - in fact, what was given - was an attitude about how we were (trying) to eat the pizza in house even though we were quoted a 'delivery price' although that was not stated over the telephone - which had me waiting about 5 minutes to even take my order. I was skeptical of a pizza place that's open until 3am with a name like A1 but holy crap was I wrong. Their pizza is delicious. Their shrimp fradiavolo is tasty as well and is a nice hefty portion. As a Philly native I just tried their cheesesteaks; it's the best one I've had in North Jersey in the 2 years I've been up here. It's a really good cheesteak and that would fool someone like me if you said it was from Pat's or Tony Luke's. I live in Lyndhurst and if it's one thing we have is many pizzerias. But none beat A-1, delicious fresh pizza, excellent service and staff. Disgusting food. I ordered a fresh mozzarella salad and chicken Marsala. I got my salad with sliced mozzarella, NOT FRESH. Don't even get me started on chicken Marsala. Underrated Pizza place. Very surprised at the one picture with the extremely oily box I would have sent it back. Always had pizza always was very good. This is my go to place. Everything and I mean everything is delicious, delivered hot and fresh. Our usual is the pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, chicken parmigiana, appetizer combo (fried) the eggplant rollatini (to die for... my ultimate favorite) and sometimes a Greek salad and stuffed mushrooms. Starving late night. Someone had told me about a pizza place in Lyndhurst that is open til 3 am. Drove about 20 min and when i saw the joint they were talking about with the man sleeping on the counter and the huge vat of sauce sitting next to him that you can see through the window, I decided to go to A1 down the street that looks like a normal place. Ordered Pizza, chicken fingers and buffalo wings which came to about $27. Went home all set in front of TV to eat and was very disappointed and still hungry after trying to eat the food. The Pizza didn't taste good at all and I'm from New York and know my Pizza. The chicken fingers just merely ok The fries that came with it was reheated fries. Today, you refused to remake 2 pizzas that were accidentally dropped on the ground on thw way home. The kind gesture i was hoping for after this freak accident would've cost you maybe $5-10 in ingredients to fix but instead you made the choice to say "it wasn't our fault you dropped them." After much arguing over the phone you offered to only remake 1 pizza. We spent $50 on 2 pizzas that were smashed on the ground and you only offer to remake 1?!?!!? I spent $50!!!
