I did my research before coming in. I will be doing a short-term rental (about 3 months) and needed a place to put my clutter before I get rid of it. This was an obvious solution. I really like the following: + Carts to help you move your things (must check out) + Bright, well lit floors and hallways + Clean looking buildings - may not be "new" but they are well-kept + Security cameras on site + Secure code to get in and out + Pleasant staff. There are some materials (such as covers and wraps) that may be beneficial to you, but you can also get these at home depot/etc. Good to have anyway. + Online pay It's a little pricey, but you're paying for new upgrades. It was very easy to call in and reserve a time and then also to get the rental. The transaction was fast and efficient. I'd estimate it took 8 minutes total and I was able to immediately put my things in a storage unit. Make sure you read all policies and send in your homeowners insurance if you have that, or your price goes up. read more

I've had my unit for 32 months and they've been awesome! The units are air conditioned, the space I had fit everything I had in my apartment and if I was ever late they were very understanding! What drove me to this storage facility was the fact that I get 24 hour access. As a musician who needs to store my gear After my gigs around 2 or 3 in the morning, its so convenient. I've stored my stuff many times over the 8 years of first being married, and the customer service here CANNOT be beat! They worked with me in downsizing my mother, helped open additional storage and let me use a loaner key over the weekend. It made the process of downsizing SO MUCH EASIER! They don't fret over the small things and kept their word on everything! I even set off an alarm one evening, and they came and checked to make sure it was a false alarm and helped me secure the unit, and didn't make me feel odd about the mistake. I have rented at A-1 for some time. I commend the cleanliness and security found in the temperature controlled environment. You will notice that if you go into your unit without using your code (following someone else into the gated area) an alarm will go off. It gets recorded. I am sure that with the video surveillance should help deter would be culprits that may tamper with units. To compliment the high quality facility is a very courteous and responsive staff. I had used this place before because my daughter recommended it. We sold our house and needed temporary storage for all our excess stuff before we could list it. What also is nice is there is a U-Haul rental place just a quarter mile down the street so we got our U-haul and came and picked our stuff up without having to drive all over town.
