For 7 months my self storage space charged me for insurance when I had renters insurance, and they had been given a copy of it three times. The last time I spoke with them, they told me they would not refund that money and they called it a secured lease, which it is definitely not. It's insurance for the unit. Renter beware! They are not honest in their dealings. They will charge you whatever they want And try to lie about it. read more

I'm glad I found this place. The location looks new. UNITS: Units are clean and there are many sizes available. What I really liked and what helped me decide on this location was that it was very fresh inside and there was plenty of lightning. It didn't smell like old attic and it wasn't eerie like the popular ones that I used before. They don't use the standard round heavy locks. They have carts you can use to load your items at the front and back entrance to the storage units. You just have to walk in to the front office and ask for the key. Make sure you take your ID because you need to leave it for collateral while using the cart. They sell moving supplies at the front office in case you need anything. PAYMENTS: You can pay online and be set up for automatic payments One of the downsides is that they close pretty early compared to other places. read more

Time for another update, the property itself has looked better my last few visits. The rent shot up $20 a month, guess storage is in demand but with 700+ units @ $20 increase =$14,000 per month. Do they want my rent money or do they want to lock my belongings up and auction them off to the highest bidder? It's hard to tell, they require tenants pay by credit card, then they don't charge my credit card on file!!!!!! I got a delinquent notice emailed today, my credit card on file expires 6/2021and my bank has not mailed out my new card yet so I can't update my card on file. I complained to my bank last month but being a former bank employee I already knew the cards you use for autopay will work after the expiration date. In July I can't use my expired card but any auto pay will still work. The only way the card won't work is if I reported it stolen, but it's interesting MY SELF STORAGE just sent me a delinquent notice instead of taking out my payment. Here's some pics of my delinquent email, 14 mins later they had no problem using the credit card on file "AFTER I CALLED THEM". Yeah I want my new ATM card but this biz just decided my card is not good, decided not to even run the card on file. I'm contacting the person who registered this company with CA because he has enough storage biz in CA if he/his LLC requires credit card payments he doesn't get to decide my card is no good that's my banks job. read more

This business falsely advertises prices which they do not honor. After comparing prices from multiple storage businesses in the area I called this one as their prices were lowest. It turns out that the units with the lowest prices are "not available" and that even the next more expensive tier of units are "incorrectly marked" on their website and are actually larger and therefore more expensive. The actual lowest price for a 5x5 unit quoted to me by phone was $55/month, exactly comparable to their competitors. Due to their dishonest advertising, I chose to take my business elsewhere. read more

I'm still renting here but let me tell you something. This place is sweetly clean with all the bells and whistles! Inside is nice and clean, as well as locked facilities after hours. I like the complimentary carts to use and the truck for use as well. One thing that I really like aside from the clean facilities is the security. You have to punch in a code for everything. To use the elevator or to get in and out of the property. Make me feel really secure that my stuff is in good hands. If I were to add anything it would be to have another person at the facilities, just because sometimes when one person is out doing something or giving a tour, you have to wait until their back in order to get your license out for taking the carts. I wish I could give this place a negative rating. I too got suckered by the initial promise of low monthly rates. Then the rates went up and suddenly I had to pay insurance. Which, by the way, didn't help when someone managed to break into my LOCKED storage unit. I am supposed to itemize everything that was taken and attach a value to it. My belongings were modest but all I had. Even if they gave me the full $5,000 the insurance covers -- and they won't -- I still have to replace everything. There is a group of homeless people near my unit who are there while the facility is open and supposedly leave at night. They seem to be the obvious suspects. I have compassion for the homeless and don't believe they are thieves, but these guys are suspicious looking and made me uncomfortable. I can't believe the management allows this. read more

Inept non-customer oriented staff run this place.They purposely overcharge customers and then RIP you off when you cancel your contract and move out. The facilities leak and aren't secure as well. If you choose to rent here cover valuables with plastic and use a good, strong lock! You will get over charged and will lose your property. Good luck. You've been warned! read more

I just moved into this new storage space this morning. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. It's new, clean, well lit and air-conditioned. They offer good rates and the manager actually cares. Unfortunately I was not able to utilize the free truck because someone else was using it, but it's nice that they offer it. It was so easy and convenient I had all my stuff loaded on the third floor in less than an hour. If I was to find one negative about it, it would be that I wish the access hours were longer... 8:30 to 6:15 doesn't seem that long to me. But I'm willing to forgo that for the good service and nice unit at a good price. read more

Reasonable prices, clean looking grounds, friendly staff. They have late access hours but I've only had to use the after hours once. Easy entry and exit at the gates. Driveways and hallways are ample. They have carts to lend out and they come in handy. Bathrooms are super clean, there is free water by the front desk. They have a complimentary moving truck for rent on a one times basis. The area is hidden behind a bicycle shop in a quiet neighborhood. My stuff definitely feels safe here. One nagging issue I have recently observed, is all of a sudden I see some homeless have taken residence here. I sometimes see them just milling around near their rental space, amongst their junk, in no hurry to do anything (much less swiftly get in & out). I hope management keeps an eye on this and nips it in the bud. read more

My experience with Ralph was awesome. Super helpful, very knowledgeable about the property and was just genuine and honest with me. I only needed a small unit and he helped me get in right away. The property is super clean and nice. Not a lot of riff raff which can sometimes occur in storage facilities which made me feel good about leaving my belongings here with no fear of break in. I rented a unit reserved online, they let you have use of the moving truck to move it within 2 weeks on moving in. So once you reserve your unit and if you need the truck make reservations. They keep the storage unit clean. read more

I regret ever renting at this place. First of all, they initially bait you with low rent and a free uhaul type truck rental to move your stuff in. Later I realize their free sh*t comes at a price. I've rented from a few different storage facilities and this by far is the only one I've been so dissatisfied with. First off, their hours suck, they close at 6pm Mon-Sat and even earlier on Sundays. They lock up their flat bed dollies (they didn't use to), the ones that are supposed to be convenient for customers to move their stuff from their car to their unit. When I realized this, I walked to the side of the office and got the managers attention through the glass window & asked him to come unlock it for me, he motioned for me to go out the gate and to go into the office, I knew he could hear me, yet he couldn't even bother to stand up from his seat. I walked away in frustration and then he called my cell phone to tell me I had to go to the office to get a key to unlock it. At that point I became irritated at the fact that he took the time to track down who I was and to call my cell phone rather than come unlock it for me, sh*t he could've got up when I went the first time and handed it to me, which I told him on the phone and he said he needed my ID to give me a key. I mean really?!?! I told him nvm, didn't need it after all. Talk about petty! Additionally, they don't accept cash payments, which for someone like me who doesn't have a traditional bank account or use credit cards, it's super inconvenient. , I've seen dead roaches in the hallways which tells me they're it cleaning/sweeping regularly...at least they're spraying, I guess. I say this because I usually go later in the day in the afternoon, so they must not sweep throughout the day. I also got a rent increase within the first 6 months, which was too soon IMO. They're closed on holidays----not just the office, but the entire facility, so you can't access your unit if it's a holiday---even the ones you might not celebrate. You'd be better off renting from another facility. This place sucks!! read more

My Self Storage Space is an exceptionally nice facility, and I have used many self storage companies over the years. Claudia is a manager who clearly takes pride in her work, and I can tell you that she runs a tight ship. She is knowledgeable and friendly, but make sure that you follow the rules as she means business! We had this storage space from about February up until July of this year. The guy who manages the place is pretty friendly and has good customer service . I actually found the place before we moved down from Washington because we needed a place to store our goods while we stayed with family for a bit to figure things out . The manager showed us a few options and gave us a great deal. They do have even better deals if you stay longer than 2 months. We chose a unit on the 3rd floor because we didn't mind using the elevator to get up there . Our rate was not too bad because of the fact we were 3 floors up. I'm sure that the ground level ones are more expensive because of convenience purposes. They do have carts for your items to take up the elevator and such which made it a lot more manageable. I noticed once covid became prevalent they had someone working and cleaning off the carts which was nice to know someone had been maintaining cleanliness at the facility. Something to note about this place is that you must pin in, pin in again to get into storage , and pin out. They have a good security system going. Something else notable is that all units are temperature controlled. It's very nicely taken care of and cleaned. I would definitley use this place again read more

I just moved in here and love it. It's all brand new and so nice compared to the place I moved from. Every unit has an alarm, and it's so well lit, and climate controlled. They have a free move in truck and seniors and military get a 10% discount. The elevators are for cargo and people. The manager, Claudia, is so helpful, and the prices are the lowest around. I needed some storage for some basic items with. No furniture. I arranged to come in and look at storage unit. I only needed a five by five unit. When I drove into the parking area. I found it this storage location is brand new. And it's not far from some of the local Fullerton neighborhoods. It is also near the 91 freeway. The My Storage location in Fullerton is near a train track. But is very clean and the building is new 2019. It appears to have very good security as well. I met a gentleman by the name of Ralph at the front desk. He showed me me a 5 by 5 unit on the third floor. There are elevators and there is a pull cart larger box items. The unit I was showed was not quite five by five. But was very tall over 10 feet high. The code that they give you is for security to enter and exit the front gate. You will use it also to enter the building your storage unit is in. It is also used to get on the elevator. But you do not need it to come down the elevator. The cart for moving boxes is padlocked to the wall. A key is available at the front desk and has to be returned to the desk afterward. They also have boxes and additional moving items in the front office at cost. You will have to buy a lock also which they provide for $11 at the time of this post. Ralph the manager this day was very friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions and the cost for my storage space was very reasonable about $40 a month. I was able to access my unit immediately after. It was a pleasant experience for my storage needs. read more

beware of the bait and switch! mandatory insurance fees must be paid monthly addition to fees! their air conditioner broke and flooded my 2nd floor unit and after claim filed aug 1 2019 pictures and reciepts submitted dealing with mold on mothers down comforter and electronics and books beyond repair or normal wear and tear! thousands lost and i know insurance job is not to pay! the manager claudia salais said owner would pay for damages if the insurance didnt! my business cards destroyed laptop and pc destroyed keep getting run around! they called me in july when my aunt died i was out of town at funeral! spent thousands mid summer to get back asap to check my unit and saw extent of damage after 2 visits and 10 hours including driving from lax to fullerton in la traffic! my mom and i are disabled they never offered any physical help! took my back out trying to assess flooding in my unit which is their liability! no offer of another mold flood free unit either. shows they only care about money! whats the point of paying for storage when it can be destroyed like this? 4 months im at my limit read more
