They did a fantastic job repairing my vacuum, worked quickly, and were very affordable. I appreciate their service.

Misdiagnosis and High Quote - Echoes Complaints from 2013…read more Nothing seems to have changed since the 2013 Yelp review complaining about terrible prices and high diagnostic fees--my experience was even worse. Larry is Appliance Repair Specialists, it's a one-man shop. He charged me $109 to diagnose our washing machine's clicking/grinding noise at startup, saying it was the water pump and quoting $500 to replace it. He was evasive when I asked for a parts/labor breakdown. That was a red flag, so I said I had to think about it. A little research showed pumps cost $20-$120 (OEM) and take 10-20 minutes to swap (it took me 30 with a $40 part), but the noise persisted--proving his diagnosis wrong. I called another company and explained the issue and their tech diagnosed it over the phone as a stuck soap dispenser, and guided me through a free 2-minute clean (removing dried soap from the armature), fixing it entirely. I'm out $109 for Larry + $40 for an unnecessary pump, plus some time. But I avoided an additional $500. In my opinion, Larry knew it wasn't the pump and was looking to make a quick $500 off an unsuspecting homeowner. The only other option is that he totally misdiagnosed the problem. Either way, isn't good. My guess is I'm not the first he's done this to. I would avoid this company (Larry) at all costs. PS, my email was tied to a former address in Corona, CA. But I now live in Provo, Utah--where Larry does his business.

Terrible prices. $69 for them to come diagnose, then they will waive that if you use them to…read morerepair, but they charge 3x's more than the repair company we went with. They wanted to charge us $250. Don't do it. We went with a different company and they only charged us $80.
