Never hesitate to call this company. a year ago our drier wasn't working; Trevor came to check it out . It wasn't the appliance; the juice wasn't coming through. Found out water got into the fuse box and the circuits were jammed up . Trevor not only saved us from buying a new drier but rebuilding our house as the electrician was surprised we never had a fire. Fast forward to now, the drier is squeaking Trevor replaces a few parts. Basically a new drier for less than half of the cost of a new one. Trevor, you are a gem and a gentleman! read more

I would not recommend using this company. We originally hired them to repair a component on our stovetop. Not long after the repair, the stovetop began sparking in the exact same area where they had worked, so we had to call them back. The technician who came out was very professional and even acknowledged that the original repair had caused the new issue. He advised us to contact the office regarding the charges. Unfortunately, despite this, we were still required to pay another $226 service fee to fix a problem that resulted from the initial repair. The technicians themselves were friendly, professional, and courteous. However, our experience with management was disappointing. They were condescending and unwilling to take responsibility for the failed repair. Because of how this situation was handled, we will not be using this company again. read more

My dryer would not heat. I called this company because they are local. The technician did not arrive within the specified timeframe. I should've canceled then. After his brief diagnostic, he said I needed a new control board and it would cost $800 to fix. Since I paid $124 for him to come out, I took to YouTube and ordered the part from Samsung. Less than 10 minutes I had installed the control board myself. My sense of accomplishment quickly faded as I found myself in the same situation. Rechecked my work...it on point. Through word of mouth, I got the number for a tech. Within 5 minutes he found the source of the problem which I will picture below. $150 later, my two year old dryer is working again . The service call price was waived and the total price was still $456 I believe the company took advantage of the situation. Never again will I use this company. Awful is the best way to describe my recent experience with Action Appliances' attempts to fix my 3 year old refrigerator. Over 2 months, they came 13 times and replaced 6 parts while trying to remedy a defrost problem. A couple days after the last visit, the unit was still not defrosting, which was the problem prompting the first visit. Three different technicians worked on the problem without success. Clearly, they, and Action, were not competent to solve my refrigerator's problem. i asked for a refund of the $450 plus I paid them to fix my fridge. They stiffed me on that request. They do not warranty their work for more than 90 days. As soon as day 91 arrived, our ice maker stopped working again and I was told it would cost another $199 service charge to come to my home and diagnose the problem. The problem is known and does not need to be diagnosed again because we know it is the ice maker. They do not seem to have confidence in their work because they only provide a 90 day guarantee. I do not recommend using this company. I am not interested in paying $199 every 91 days to have someone from their company come to my home only to fix the same issue again and again. We will make our own ice with ice trays and avoid the exorbitant fees for a company that does not provide a better guarantee on their workmanship. DO NOT USE this company! read more

I needed assistance with my fridgedaire refrigerator/freezer - my freezer was not freezing. Action Appliance was recommended to us for a service and repair call. We had to pay $160 in advance to get a service call. The technician came out and diagnosed our problem as a major repair costing over $1400. This would be more than the cost to purchase a new refrigerator. We were promised a report that we could process to Fridgedaire regarding the appliance and the problems we were having. We did not receive this report. When I contacted Fridgedaire they offered me an alternative repair package with another appliance repair company. That company sent a technician who diagnosed the problem in 6 minutes as a freezer fan that was not working properly. He fixed the fan and the freezer was working. I am requesting a full refund of the fee I paid because the technician obviously had no idea about diagnosing and/or repairing my fridge/freezer. The tech did leave alot of brochures about buying new appliances from their company. I will not be using or recommending this company for any of my appliances. read more

Used once and will never use again! Technician came in opened our freezer (never touched it or tried to fix it) and got on his tablet and quoted us $600 to replace our ice maker. I had done my own research and you can get a kit for $140. His attitude was poor and never once did he attempt to fix it. We paid $150 for him to come out and quote us a very inflated price on ice maker kit. Since he left we played around with it and it is now working again. Be aware, this company charges $150 + tax to diagnose (not advertised anywhere on their website or over the phone). They likely know what the issue is before they even walk into the house (my tech told me as much). Why not just tell me over the phone then? In my case, the diagnosis was "it will cost about $500 to repair the microwave, you might as well replace it". The sales department then had the nerve to call me less than 30 minutes after the tech left to try to sell me on helping me buy a new microwave and of course, pay for install. This is a greedy, unfriendly way of dealing with customers. Follow-up: a second person decided to call me after I hung up with the sales person, requesting they not contact me again. This person insisted on recapping the entire experience, telling me the service fee was non-refundable and then tried again to get me to buy from them. Truly awful business all round. read more

A rep names James Canfield completely BOTCHED my brand new Ilve range in April by randomly - incorrectly - inserting the improper injectors haphazardly into the (7) burners into the top of my range. He caused nothing but soot and negative issues with my brand new range & I had to have your competitor here to FIX HIS MISTAKES. He created a disaster & a dangerous situation with the flames coming from this new range. For a few months I blamed the poor range when it was HIS fault. I have been trying to get an American rep from A. Action of th line for 35 minutes now & all I get are phone reps from Manila. This is ridiculous. Anyone who uses A. Action is making a huge mistake. It's DISGUSTING how you run your "business". Lastly, a "Tech Manager" named Brian Mahowski phoned to go over the situation & had the gaul to tell me: "Ilve does not provide instructions on how to install these injectors, we have gone thru this with them before". THEN IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO IT DO NOT TOUCH THE STOVE! You are playing with someone's very expensive) propane stove hrere - you call ILve's technical support line - 24/7 - and get HELP. That's #1. Secodly, the new rep who came to FIX James's mistake immediately asked to see our Ilve manual & in that manual, that comes with the range, it clearly explains which INJECTOR GOES WITH WHICH BURNER! He knew enough, had enough sense, to ask to see the book. It walked hin right thru it!!! Thank you A. Action Appliance for NOTHING BUT. HUGE HEADACHE & STRESS! I reported this to Ilve & you'll be happy to know that A. I now Have a policy of 13.00 monthly and service call is free and any work is discounted. I had an issue recently with the ice maker and the technician came and repaired again efficiently. Tyler came today to service the ice cube maker in our refrigerator. Since we had sent the serial number to the call service when making the appointment, he brought one along. As added insurance, he had an additional one in his truck just in case the first did not fit. Tyler called when he was 15 minutes away and arrived right on time. The call lasted under 30 minutes. He was courteous and efficient. This is the second time Tyler has responded to our call for service. The first was for our Wolf Gas stove. Shame on me for not checking their reviews prior to calling them. It was out of desperation. Don't waste your time with this company . I called to have the pin of the knob fixed on the LG stove and initially the guy stated that the part would be $90 and a flat rate fee if $240 for installation for a total of approximately $350. Since he couldn't find the part where they traditionally order their parts he called his supervisor. As a result, I could hear the conversation that the part could only be found on eBay for $101 but with their markup and the installation now the new quote went from $350 to $475. In addition, when I called the receptionist sounded like she was drunk because I had to repeat everything at least two times. As a result she made it sound like it wasn't going to be a costly fix. The repair guy told me she put down that it was to replace a broken knob. For that, I would have ordered it myself from Amazon. At the end of the day, she didn't document the information and mislead me. This company also knows they have you by the "b@lls" since not a lot of companies service LG appliances in our area. My washer was banging the barrel side to side on the spin cycle. I had washed items that were too heavy and broken the suspension that keeps the barrel centered. I was told up front that the technician would tell me the repair price and that if I refused it, I would just be required to pay 150. for the visit. Otherwise; just the repair cost. The technician was Steven. He opened the washer to show me that there are rods at the four corners with springs attached to the barrel. Two springs were stretched and two were missing as well as bent rods. The parts were ordered and arrived in two days. I did not open the box. Steven came back and installed and made my machine like new. Then the company allows a free estimate of a second appliance. My two back stove burners were not lighting. Very quickly Steven put a fine pin in the gas holes and made two of them work. Then he told me the cost to replace the broken igniter on the 4th one. But I can light it with a match. NO CHARGE... and my stove is great. I would use this company again. Steven was very knowledgeable and personable. read more

I called this company to diagnose and repair my Whirlpool electric range which wasn't heating to the same temp as the electric gauge. We couldn't get a in home visit for almost a week but when the tech Eddy came, he was friendly and able to diagnose the issue quickly. The cost was significantly inflated but was the easiest solution to getting our range back working. The overall cost is most of the reason for this 3 star review. Eddy ordered the part for us and it arrived about 4 days later. We were able to get an appointment 4 days after we called for an install. On the day of the appointment, we got an email reminded us of the window in which the tech was coming and could track our place in line. We also got a call when he was about 20 minutes out. Worthless experience with this company. Had a gas stove leak. Tech knew nothing about detection and just started to replace parts (that had NOTHING to do with the leak!). Tech made 2 visits to replace parts he ordered and realized he had ordered the wrong parts anyway. Of course the company billed me for the parts. Disputed the bills and had to send the parts back at MY cost to have them issue a credit. No call from management to review the problem even after I explained the experience to them. Our refrigerator wasn't cooling any more even though the freezer was working fine. Eddie (the tech) came out the very same day we called. He was extremely courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue immediately (computer board) and, best of all had the part with him. He also needed to clean all the ice buildup on the coils and back wall of the freezer at no extra charge.
