We called A-Able Appliance Service on August 22 at approximately 8:10 am to request service for our…read morerefrigerator which was not cooling properly. Jon answered the phone promptly and asked several questions. He then said he would make a home service call within the hour to evaluate the problem. He arrived at within thirty minutes and quickly assessed that the cooling coils were iced and frozen. He gave us instructions to de-ice the coils by powering off the refrigerator for 24 hours, keeping the doors and drawer open, restoring the power and readjusting the temperature controls after 24 had passed. He further noted that should this process not work, he would return within thirty days at no additional service cost to reevaluate the cause of the problem. We are pleased that the procedure as described worked and the refrigerator is working perfectly. There is a $75 charge to come and take a look, and with parts and labor is still cheaper and more worthwhile to repair than get new appliances. Side note- we have been the only owners for them, so we know where they have been and what they have done. He is quick and also provides tips on how to keep your appliances in good condition.
