I hired another company to clean out my HVAC ducts and my dryer duct. In doing so, they clogged my dryer exhaust duct on my roof. Long story short, one wasted dryer technician call, and a second attempt by the the other duct cleaning company to try to clean it without going on the roof and my dryer stopped drying again within a year. I called DeWayne and he understood the situation fully as it seemed more common than it should be. He priced the job out up front so there was no question as to what it would cost. When he arrived, he cleaned out my dryer duct from the laundry room and from the roof. He was quick, courteous, and professional. I know who I'm calling for my future duct cleaning needs. My advice is to make sure you find out if the company you're thinking of using is going to clean out the exhaust duct from both ends (laundry room and outside your house). I hesitated never heard of that and I said no, you already cleaned it. Am 73 yo. He wrote on my invoice that my dryer was a fire hazard knowing It had to be handed into my 55 and over condo. The man kept insisting that he could clean the inside of the dryer. I instantly called BBB and sent an e-mail to the FTC. Anyway, Maytag was called and they confirmed nothing was in the dryer that needed to be cleaned out. That cost me $148.00. I was with out my dryer for a week. This company I got out of the coupon envelope delivered to my house with the mail from the post office. The guy who booked my appointment was very nice on the phone but who cares when they cost: $150-175 for dryer vent cleaning alone! I was just reading the 'nextdoor' Broadlands notifications and I saw someone write they needed a dryer duct cleaning. Nearly everyone recommend DeWayne. I realized our dryer also wasn't drying well. I gave DeWayne a call. He organized an appointment that day called when he was en route. He arrived masked up due to covid which I was relieved about as I have two young children in the house. He told me what he was going to do in a very simple way (as I have no idea). He was very pleasant and informative. He got to work and the water that came out even made him give a 'wooooha'. He said it had never been cleaned and we're lucky the ceiling didn't collapse or had a fire. I was relieved that DeWayne was able to link up a blower and 400+ psi of air pressure the other way. I CANNOT recommend Dewayne and his team at A+ Duct Cleaning enough!! We get our ducts cleaned pretty regularly, usually going off of a deal on Groupon. Every single time the people would come and there would be surprise add on fees for every little thing, and were usually done pretty quickly. Dewayne was very upfront, charged a flat fee and included everything AND MORE that all the other companies did not. He showed me where other companies didn't do what they were supposed to, and it looked pretty bad. Dewayne was helpful w/ explaining step by step what he was doing the entire time. My husband is very handy and tries to keep up our dryer vents but there were just areas it would be impossible for a non-professional to do, so don't risk it! What was impressive is that he took the time to re tape some loose connections in the duct.
