What changed? * As noted last time, this is definitely Northern style barbecue here. I had said before it's not very BBQ inside, but I'll reframe that. You still absolutely get friendly service and not a very long wait. * I said before the meats are clearly prepared previously and just warmed to the order. I don't think I'll say that again. The meats were perfectly done, moist throughout, perfectly seasoned and smoky on the outside. * When I had gotten the two-meat plate, the brisket fell apart on my fork. The pulled pork was the opposite of what I expected - in fact, I'm wondering if they gave me pork or chicken now that I think about it... but it was good. Didn't occur to me at the time, but that might explain some of the taste and appearance. * This time, I got the ribs. A half rack of ribs filled me up, and YUM. Some ribs fell off the bone a little more than others, but oh boy was that perfectly good. My parents loved their chicken and brisket. * I think they read my review about how much meat you get for what you pay. It's not cheap here, but we all felt that we got a good amount of meat, mac 'n' cheese, or whatever else we ordered. It's great when a place listens! * Last time they upcharged me a dollar to swap cole slaw for cornbread. This time they gave me chipotle BBQ instead of regular BBQ without any charge at all. So again, maybe they read and responded! Still loving the flavors, textures, sauces, cornbread, and mac. This is a winner and earned the fifth star - we're all coming back!

He was rude and disrespectful and showed his contempt for us for just being in the store. The meat selection wasn't great. I don't know if it was because we are a black couple . I reached out to Ryanne Fadel at the 4th Ave Halal Meat Market who, within the hour, had delivered the most beautiful 10lb leg of lamb that one could wish for. Flavorful, tender, and as fresh as can be (the lamb had been slaughtered only the day before). Absolutely wonderful service, Ryanne's friendliness and responsiveness would have been reason alone to win my loyalty, but the piece of meat...my goodness, it was fabulous. Came for restaurant week and made the earliest reservation at 11:30a. Just an FYI, they only had the RW lunch menu (no dinner) which consists of a 2-course lunch for $60pp. They open at 11:30a, so the hostess sat us by the bar right away while they got ready for the day. The bartender made sure to let us know that he'd be ready if we needed anything. We were seated in the first floor dining area and a server came quickly. While we were looking over the menus, another server came and gave us bread and water while we waited. Here is what we ordered from the RW lunch menu: - Yellow fin tuna tartare: Calabrian chilies with crispy shallots - Green goddess chopped salad - NY Strip steak: medium - filet mignon: medium rare Here is what we ordered outside the RW menu: - whipped potatoes - dry-aged porterhouse meatballs - double espresso - chocolate cake stand: amarna cherries, sliced crunchies, malt ice cream Everything was made to perfection and the serving sizes were generous. Two bottles of white later we nearly finished the butter service and enjoyed some escargot and their steak frites. We threw in a chopped salad and finished it off with their caramel dessert that somewhat resembled a tiramisu. Upon lifting the cylinder sleeve the delicious and light caramel sauce pours over the cake with crunch chocolate nibs sprinkled on top. Looking forward to trying their dinner menu when we visit again.
