I had an excellent experience with Alexander Auto Service while diagnosing a persistent misfire on…read moremy 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris. I had previously taken the van to the dealership, where the spark plugs and ignition coils were replaced, but the misfire was still not resolved. Alexander performed a thorough diagnostic and correctly determined that the fuel injectors were causing the problem. He replaced the injectors and used dealer-level Mercedes diagnostic equipment to properly code and program them to the vehicle. We also discovered significant carbon buildup on the intake valves, which is common on direct-injection engines. Alexander had the proper walnut-blasting equipment and performed an intake-valve carbon cleaning. I was very impressed with his knowledge of Mercedes vehicles, advanced computer diagnostics, fuel-injector programming, and direct-injection systems. His diagnosis was accurate and his work was professional. The shop also provides general auto repair, tires, wheel alignments, transmission repair, and other automotive services. I highly recommend Alexander Auto Service to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable mechanic, especially for difficult diagnostic problems that other repair shops or dealerships have been unable to solve.
