I am a member of the Peoria community group on Facebook and asked around for autobody repair shops. Who have you used in the past and who would you trust? There were a few places recommended in Glendale, Surprise and Phoenix, but I wanted to stay local in my community here in Peoria. And thus, I opted for A&D Autobody, Inc. They're conveniently located right on 75th in the heart of Peoria just on the other side of Greenway. Super duper convenient location and one that you won't have to drive far to get to and even if you do - it's your vehicle. Don't you want to trust it to a local company that will do the job right? ...of course you do! My wife had a tiny accident with a parking lot lamp at Hobby Lobby. She reversed and scraped the driver's side quarter panel and bumper. One minor dent and additionally, she scraped the pain. It was an eyesore to say the least. Since it was a single-vehicle accident, we did not want to use the insurance company and the run of our rate doubling because of a silly claim. We stopped at A&D Autobody and Kyle wrote up an estimate much lower than we even anticipated! We saved up some pennies and I dropped an e-mail to A&D Autobody to schedule to drop off my wife's car. Sue responded right away and said to drop it off at anytime most convenient for us. On the 4th business day, Kyle let us know the vehicle was finished and it pretty much looks like the day we drove it off the showroom floor. The paint was blended magnificently and we could not be happier with the quality of the repair! Not to mention how quick and efficient they were in getting the vehicle back in such a timely manner! COMPLETE FRAUD. UNTRUSTWORTHY SCAMMERS. Took my vehicle there after I got rear ended. They looked at it, we made an appointment, they accepted the insurance claim, I arranged a rental for the week as they said it would take 5 days. 2 days after I dropped off the car they call me and said we are not going to fix this. they claimed there was a previous repair done and there was rust and Bondo behind the bumper cover on the quarter. Complete lie. I've owned this vehicle for 10 years and it has never seen a body shop. It had a clean history. when I picked up my car, after wasting money for 2 days of a rental Brad the scammer tried to show me the rust which was BS as he pulled back the plastic bumper cover and pointed to a tan area on the edge of the plastic... claiming this was rust. This was NOT rust, it was an unpainted area of the cover which tucked under a metal portion of the quarter panel and cant be seen or painted when on the vehicle. then he stated there was tons of Bondo behind it. when I got home I pulled the cover back and NO bondo at all was behind the cover or on the quarter and not a spot of rust. They didn't like the ins estimate so they fabricated a BS story not to do the work and wasted several days of my time. They should be sued for these false statements made as now Im having issues with the insurance and the adjuster at Geico is being dismissive. If I retain an attorney ..EVERYONE is going to be named in the lawsuit. read more

I genuinely thought this place was good but once I got my srt392 back, I took my car to dodge to make sure everything checked out and A&D did a good job but how do you not notice a subframe needs to be replaced, right control arm being broken, ball joint broke, alignment completely off (they said that's the best they could do), they didn't put my front bumper back on correctly and then broke other parts because they didn't! Their staff is awesome. They were courteous, helpful, and the techs do awesome work. This is my second vehicle they have fixed. The first was my F-150 PU and the second was a GMC Terrain. Somebody decided to key the right side of my vehicle. I was amazed how they matched the paint. They buffed it out and even cleaned the interior of my vehicle. MY pickup was a 97 stepside and of course that step was where I damaged it running into a brick corner stone. Again, I was amazed at the repair they did. I had my first accident two weeks ago and didn't know what to expect on how repairs worked and how the process goes. My insurance recommended this place and had the car towed to the shop Friday afternoon. I got a call from the front desk saying they needed permission in writing to fix the car. Since it was already late in the day they said the car wouldn't be looked at until Monday anyway. I work nights making it difficult and stressful to do things during the day. If I knew a head of time they needed a paper signed I would have gone to the shop myself and got it done. However I had not been to sleep since getting off work and didn't get it signed right away. Monday I get a call from Irvin. He was very rude and condescending. I know nothing about cars and I told him I didn't want to authorize anything to be fixed until I knew what was wrong. He told me the obvious that by looking at it, it needed a new hood and bumper. (No shit Sherlock). He told me they have to look for interior damage under the hood and can't lift the hood until I sign the form. They called my insurance and told my insurance I refused to sign the form. However, I had a meeting I was in and couldn't just drop everything and sign it. Once they got the car taken apart, Irvin called back and very rude on describing the damages to me. He talked to me like he would talk to a mechanic who knew what he was talking about. Irvin told me it would be done the 24th. Luckily I got a call on the 20th saying it was fixed. I wasn't able to stop in that day so I picked it up the 21. Little did I know what a crappy job they did taking care of my car. I approached my car and inspected they replaced hood, bumper and grill. I noticed the car is has a bunch of white substance over it. The windshield has brown stuff all over it. (Thinking it's Arizona and had sat outside for 24 hours maybe it's dust) however, it was too thick to be dust. I get in my car to make sure it was clean (after just getting it detailed a week before) I found white paint to the steering wheel, and white pain down the driver side of my car on the door handles. I asked what was up and they said it was there when the car was dropped off. Irvin didn't even go to my car and look. He just pulled up the pictures. I go back out to my car to leave and notice the tire pressure sensor is no longer working. I understand wear and tear but again, felt like they could have told me it was broken. In their pictures of when the car arrived, the tire sensor worked just fine. I had no lights on my dash in the picture. I go back in and tell him it's bullshit he couldn't let me know it broke. He told me they didn't touch the tire, but saw the sensor no longer worked and they aired the tire. (So they touched the tire). At this point I'm pissed and leave. My insurance was notified. After driving my car I wanted to use the washer fluid and noticed that didn't work. I popped the hood and saw they didn't connect the hose line. I reconnected it and it still doesn't work. I find it very hard to believe that much wear and tear just so happens to break when it's on their property for 10 days. After further inspection, I see paint got sprayed on the driver side wiper as well. They were brand new wipers bought a month ago. I look through the paper work and noticed they did a check engine test and the tire pressure monitoring system was "normal". The windshield washer fluid reservoir was removed and replaced. So something has to be wrong with the installation for it not to work now. Very disappointed in the care of my vehicle. Just noticed too the additional miles added to my car. How do I know they drove the car 23 miles before taking pictures and got my car side swiped?! Or parked somewhere and had another car damage the doors? Glad to have my car back faster than planned but very very upset. read more

This has been a place that I have had a few cars related and I have sent other cars to this place. My last and recent experience was poor, the customer service was poor, the lady in the front was not friendly and apparently the car crash business is good. This experience just ran off a return customer. I have always recommended them and will never go there again. There are much better ways to handle customers. read more

We were initially very pleased with the customer service we received from this shop. They finished our repairs needed within the promised time and for what seemed like a reasonable price. Long story short: The reason for two stars is because we were not very pleased with the work done at A&D auto. They replaced our 2008 Toyota Corolla driver side door and mirror appropriately. However, once arriving home we realized the paint job on the new door was done very poorly. There are very visible signs of sanding spots all along the driver side of the vehicle. I realize we could have spoken up about our observations and had we not been in the middle of our first home purchase I might have had time to bring this to the shops attention but our priorities were elsewhere. We were just dissatisfied as it seems our vehicle will never be in original condition that it was months ago. We attached some photos. read more

A & D has two locations. Owned by the same people. IF YOU NEED THEIR HELP THEY WILL NOT BE THERE DOWN THR ROAD.... Employees are nice and so are the owners. Front desk staff is very friendly and attentive. Why the low rating though? Well.... This is one of those companies that are there for you in the beginning and will take care of things and give you the time. However if the issue with your car is ongoing they will try to brush you off even if they were at fault. That is how we felt, we thought we would be taken care of until the issue was resolved but it ended up quite differently. We were handed out to different people, we had to go out of our way and take time off work and family so we can take care of the issues they failed to address. Unfortunately they lost my trust. A great company is great until they stop being great and look at you as just money signs(why keep servicing a customer who is no longer making them money). I will definitely look for another body shop company if I ever have to again. read more

We did not have a big repair but it looks perfect. They did the job in the time they told us. We paid exactly what the estimate was. They gave us a loaner car to use while they had ours and didn't even ask us to fill it up or charge us extra. They were very professional from the very start. We really liked everything about the experience especially the fact that it is a family owned small business. We have had the SUV back for over a week and today when I was walking out of a restaurant I noticed they even polished out our headlights. So I took my car in for some front bender work after an incident on the road. I called and came by on a Saturday and all went great, got the estimate, and was told I would get a call on Monday about next steps and insurance. I like to support small business and purposefully brought it here instead of next door to them (big corporation). But in general they dropped the ball, I never got a call after my estimate and when I finally called them, they were not specific over what i needed to do just told me to call my insurance and then call them back. I called insurance and they said A&D could of just called them directly- but its all fine. I called A&D again and they were not sure who in their office handled my insurance and they would let me know to get the ball rolling and set up an estimate with my insurance, again very friendly, but That never happened. I never heard from them again, and while the estimate was fast and friendly, as a customer this would be my 3rd time of me reaching out to them to get the ball rolling and they never called my insurance. I took it some place else and got it done without effort. This other place was not as close to me as far as location, but again all else happened easy. Not sure what happened, I thought maybe because my repairs were not major it didn't really matter to them. My insurance is reputable so i don't think it was them not wanting to deal with my insurance. read more

Work: Unbelievably great! Fantastic work and my fender looks totally new. Cost: They aren't cheap---unless the $2,200 they charged with me paying only the $500 deductible was to gouge the insurance company. I hope so, anyway. But the work...fantastic work!!!! Well, here's something interesting: I just called 4 auto body places in my area to fix my grill and they ALL had the same price. I asked why and one of the guys told me that there are 2 places people in the NW Valley buy supplies from, prices are fixed then so they all are the same. Moral of this story: If all the places charge the same and you live in the NW Valley, go to A&D Auto. They really are the best around! read more

I had my 2011 328i backed into while sitting in a parking lot. After some Googling, I found this body shop. Reviews were good, near my house, and BBB clean, so I gave them a shot. Also turns out they are a preferred shop for the insurer who hit me. I like the cleanliness of the office and professionalism of the staff, as well as the fact that they keep you updated on the status while they work on your vehicle. The repairs took longer than I expected (1 week), but the results were great. I will definitely use them again (hopefully I won't have to). read more

I first visited this facility in February 2014 after a recommendation from a friend. I was hesitant because I'm not from Arizona, and I had a family favorite body shop back home. They did an excellent job and I was very pleased! I would say my experience was a solid 5! Two weeks ago I brought my vehicle back after being hit by a tire on the 17. I thought it cracked my bumper, but A&D found more significant damage to the undercarriage of my car. Once again, after all is said and done, they did great work! After picking up my vehicle I noticed a few scratches that were not there when I dropped my car off. I called them and brought it back in to get it looked at. It was a little after closing by the time I brought it down. They immediately took my car to get it all buffed out, and apologized for the inconvenience. I have never seen an autobody take 2 months to repair damages on my car that was originally promised 2 weeks? A few things to note about this autobody: 1. Unprofessional: When you think you can't get the car to me by the time you had indicated on the paperwork it is common sense to call and inform me. This has not been the case. I don't live in the area so it was a waste of my time to come there to find that my car isn't ready. Not only that, they continue to promise me week after weeks without results. Is this a businees or not? 2. Expensive: I didn't pay for it but my insurance but let me tell you the cost was significant. Overall experience of this autobody is that I am EXTREMELY surprise it's still in business. Who operates like that seriously?!? Go somewhere else is my bottom line. read more

This place is set up to rip you off! I got an estimate, but when I dropped the car off Duane was side stepping all questions, wouldn't give me even a ball park of when it would be done, and kept dropping hints of a higher quote. At this point, a tech had done the inspection and Duane had never seen it. After a week I go in because I can't get any info. and Duane gives me a new quote for $1000 more. I then tell him I can't do that and he gets very rude and says I would have to take it in pieces. After talking to the manager I paid $500 to have the passenger door put on. And the center of it was cut out as it was being prepped for repair, however, a charge for a new door is on my estimate. Upon taking it else where, they showed me how A&D was prepping all parts for repair when they were charging me thousands for new parts and labor to install them. read more
