This is not the salon I typically patronize and today they showed me why. I had a fill and gel polish done last Friday and I broke a nail today. I popped in thinking I'd have a quick fix. The nail tech who started my service couldn't fix the broken nail so she called another tech over. She put another tip on and it was very obviously crooked. I pointed out that it was crooked, she filled a container with acetone to soak it off and walked away. A second tech arrived to fix the missing nail and I thanked her. The original tech "finished" my nails and charged me $45 dollars for a nail job that looks like my 5 year old granddaughter did it. The techs seemed annoyed and irritated that I wanted to get what they charged me for. I felt like I was overcharged and I absolutely stated that. I did not tip. read more

Do not waste your time with this nail salon. When asked upon entry what I wanted, I named that I would like a French full set with colored tips. The manager asked what color and I said pink or blue, but I hadn't decided yet. I sat down with another technician and she began what I thought would be a lovely manicure. When I noticed the design wasn't looking as nice as I hoped, I tried to speak up but was disregarded. The manager came to help my technician and I resolve the issue, and she was angry with me as we disagreed on what I asked for versus what I actually got. Upon leaving the nail salon, I couldn't bring myself to come back to campus with such horrific looking nails. When I asked the manager to just file off the first look and give me a solid blue manicure, she agreed but not without giving me dirty looks. She was extremely rude as she redid my nails. I am college student who just wanted to treat herself before Spring Break, and I'm not in a position to just waste money like this. I arrived and was greeted by one of the ladies doing nails, she was busy on a client, I'm assuming she's the owner. I told her I wanted gel mani and regular pedi, she said okay. I sat and waited, two other manicurists finished with their clients and went to the backroom to take a break on their phones without acknowledging me seated at the front. Finally one of the two approaches me and asks me what color. I opted for a gel OPI which they later informed me they did not have the matching regular polish for my feet. One strike, okay fine. This lady moved so slow, I was there for over two hours she barely cleaned/touched my cuticles on both my toes and my finger nails, strike two. Not only did she barely trim my cuticles and started immediately painting my nails with the gel polish, but then when I asked her for a third coat because the color I chose was supposed to be dark and opaque, but you could still see my nails through the two thin coats, she completely ignored me and put the top coat. I was already annoyed she chopped my long nails when I told her I wanted her to just file them, she clearly does not understand English. I was even more offended when she told me the total was $65. Being from Miami, you can find not only cheaper services but much better mom and pop salons than this. I spent $80, with the tip for the worst mani/pedi in my life. Very rude treatment from staff. I scheduled appointments for myself and another person, and was very clear about the services desired for each person; repeating myself at least once. When we arrived we were greeted with hostility from the get-go. They claimed they only had time for 1 person, that they didn't know one of us needed gel. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!! I scheduled an appointment for my friend and I for full sets twelve days in advance. I called in advance to book the appointment because I had about a two hour window free that particular day, and it was very important that I got in before my graduation photo shoot the next morning. My friend and I showed up at our designated time and told them we had an appointment for acrylics. They claimed that we had made the appointment for two gel manicures, NOT full sets, and that they did not have anyone coming in to do acrylics for a "very long time." I knew this wasn't true as I never request gel -- always a full set -- and I had even written down exactly what I'd asked for when I booked the appointment. My friend settled for gel, while I was told to wait for an indeterminate amount of time. About a half hour later, someone approached me and asked me when I had called and made the appointment. I told her it was about two weeks prior. She told me that they do not book that far in advance so I had clearly "not ever called and made an appointment." Therefore, I did not have an appointment and they could not fit me in. In reality, I had certainly called and made an appointment, and had even confirmed their exact name and address over the phone, as well as the date and time multiple times. Needless to say, they did not get me in -- despite it being their mistake -- and I did not get my nails done there. I was left in a time crunch before my graduation photos. If they truly did not book two weeks in advance, I would have appreciated some honestly upfront, rather than telling me that I had an appointment on the calendar. I do not tolerate dishonesty and am extremely disappointed that they equate lying with good customer service. read more

V did a great job on my pedicure. However,she had to duplicate most fingers in removing the old dip polish. Normally this is a quick and clean process. The dip manicure is very nice. I gave up on this place today all together. I get a pedicure once in awhile and their customer service is really lacking. Today besides the women sitting on their phones and shouting across the whole room when people come in, they yell: what do you want done... I had the guy. He doesn't smile, ask how are you... so he's focused on the pedicure?!? Nope he is watching the soccer game on tv. I mean maybe during World Cup, but come on, all women in there and I can't get some calming music or a show I might like? He is very systematic and cold and then gives me used flip flops to dry nails and then throw my shoes near the dryer so they are upside down. The little things matter when providing a service. Not to mention 3 girls walked in at the same time. Two Hispanic and one African American woman. They took the first two ladies right away. They told the other lady she'd have to wait for 15 or 20 mins. As I was paying they told her they were ready for her. She explained she wanted acrylics and then the woman acted all confused and said oh no it will be an hour wait for that. She didn't try to offer her another service. The woman appeared annoyed as I would be and left. Then the "busy" worker sat down in customer chairs and played on her phone. I suppose being near ND they get a lot of foot traffic but if you are local I would suggest supporting a place where everyone is welcome and the style of customer service demonstrates that. Date of service 12/30/21. I wish I can give this place a ZERO star. I walked in and people there aren't welcoming but I still went ahead and give them a try. I picked what color I wanted for my gel polish(#48) then I was told to go to table #5. I don't know what is my nail technicians name but older lady. Its too much to type but clearly she is not doing her job very well. She grabbed the #48(color/number that I picked) bottle and showed it to me. I told her the color I chose was more like a lilac color. Then she said "This yeah yeah" My understand was, it is the color I wanted and it might be showing blue on the bottle. She barely did anything on my nails. She applies 3 different bottles, foundation, gel polish and top coat far from my cuticles. It looks like my nails are 2 weeks old with the gap from my cuticles. Not to mention, dead skin all over my cuticles still and on my nails too. I don't want to keep complaining to her. After we finished I met her at the counter. I showed her the ##48 on the color sample and the color she applied on my nails. She then laughed and started talking in different language to Tracy(another lady might be the manager)I just want to point out to her how different the 2 colors are. Yet, I still said "Its okey" I just want to leave and the color is still pretty. The I asked how much? She said "$50 for gel". I handed her my card and she asked me if the tip is going on the card too. I said "yes" then she asked me "How much?". I told her "$5" (because I wasn't happy with the service) She handed me receipt to sign and I am being charged for $60. So I asked her why $60 it should only be $55. $50 for gel and $5 for tip. She then wrote on the paper while saying "$50 gel okey?, $5 nail okey?, $5 tip okey? I asked her to explain me why there are 2 charges. And she keep telling me the same answer over and over. I wish I could give it 0 stars! I walked in as a new customer with my toddlee daughter. I wasn't greeted and finally acknowledged after standing there looking awkwardly around. The woman was rude stating "what can I do for you?" And before I could finish my sentence, she looked disgusted at my daughter and said "How many people". I, against my own judgement, decided to give her more of a chance to be polite. I told her we were both looking to get our nails done and asked if they had non toxic nail polish since she was a toddler. She, again, rudely cut me off to say "we only have what's over there. I went this morning for a pedicure and the girl was very rude and not helpful at all when I asked her a simple question about a color I use and if they have it since some of their bottles didn't have the sticker at the bottom with the name of the color. I don't do reviews very frequently, but my experience was pretty terrible so I feel compelled to warn others. I came in during my lunch break to have acrylic nails with a gel overlay removed, and the technician pulled an acrylic nail from her drawer and started ripping the gel and acrylic nail off completely dry! This is the first time I've had acrylics, but I do know it is TERRIBLE for your nail beds to just rip them off. It was incredibly painful, so about halfway through the first nail I told her it hurt. She said 'Just let me know if it hurts too much!' and kept going. I said 'Yes, it hurts too much!' and she just smiled, nodded, and kept going. Finally I asked her 'Don't you normally soak them or something? Because this is incredibly painful.' And she acted surprised and said 'Oh, you want to soak them?' Long story short, she soaked them in acetone and then gradually buffed it off, but still left a sizable amount of gel and acrylic on each finger. So now I will have to finish the job at home. Definitely not satisfied with my experience and have no intention of returning. read more

Moderately good nail salon- neither wonderful work nor wonderful prices; seems somewhat poorly kept all in all. I've come twice to try the "powder/dip" nails and though the process is really neat, the outcome is not- the first time, the dip came out realllllly thick and it caught on things (and ultimately I picked it off because it felt odd even days later) - the second time it was dremeled down but was super uneven afterward and looked so awful, not to mention that I had tons of polish around the edge of my nail and adhering under from the dip- yuck. If they hadn't repeatedly been dishonest with me about the price, this would be a good review. I told them I hadn't gotten my nails done in a long time. She told me I should consider Shellac and asked her details about it. It was more than I was looking to pay, but I decided since it would last longer I would do it. Unfortunately, when she was almost finished painting my nails, she told me it would cost me $10 to get the shellac taken off or if I came back in in two weeks she would refill them for $5. At first I was put off that they hadn't told me the full cost upfront, but I really liked how the nails turned out and thought $5 was a reasonable price for filling it in. Two weeks later I came back to get the nails fixed and she told me it would cost $25! I told her that the lady who had helped me before said it would be $5. She apologized and said that lady didn't speak very good English and that they lady meant it would cost $5 to take it off. So I agreed to pay $5 to get it taken off, then she told me it would be $10. I have been there twice and the first time she gave me a manicure and the ENTIRE time she talked crap about the owners and the store saying how they put thinners in the nail polish, etc., it made me very uncomfortable.
