A&F Concrete did an excellent job installing a 20' sidewalk and a very nice 5x5 foot masonry wall…read more As instructed, San Diego Buff concrete was used for the sidewalk. I was given an excellent variety of bricks/blocks to choose for the wall, and the one I chose was competently installed. I was pleased to note the block I chose would be sourced from RCP in Chula Vista, where I have been a regular customer. The two workers agreed to relocate the existing pavers for my reuse as part of the original job. I really appreciated that. Although I was in no hurry, the job was completed quite expeditiously with the exception of the iron gate, the installation of which was subcontracted (and reviewed separately). The final results please me immensely. A&F solved a major problem, and I recommend the company to all.

In the process, Adam and team broke the stairs immediately, and reassembled them with screws sticking out and chunks broken remains used to "level" the remaining stairs (photos of all work attached.) While on site, Adam asked for "200-300$" outside of the scope of the signed contract for the same work that would have been done with or without the additional request. Through the phone exchanges and emails regarding these issues Adam was arrogant and dismissive, yet also took blame for the stairs and will not resolve the issue. Adam's team poured our concrete before a heavy rain, but failed to redirect a gutter (as it had originally been before construction) from pouring directly onto the concrete causing a water stain from the pooling water on the fresh concrete. Again, when confronted with this issue and asking for a resolution Adam denied blame and said "wait a year". As of 6/11/26 there has been no reply nor efforts made on behalf of this company to repair any personal property damage nor resurface the concrete stain/ finish the job as fully paid for. Highly recommend! That could be the end of this review! But read on to find out why…read more We initially worked with a landscape architect. We liked the ideas the architect offered but not the cost as quoted by the contractor the architect referred us to. So we decided to contract our own specialists - act as our own general contractor. SD Paverscapes was one of three paver contractors we contacted. Luis was quick to respond and listened to our ideas. He provided us with a plan we loved and a price we could handle. The installation crew was absolutely first rate. It was a pleasure to watch craftsmen apply their skills! The result is fabulous! Honestly, it turned out better than we had imagined! As with ALL contractors, you - as the client - need to always be communicating with Luis. We made slight modifications to our original plan as the work progressed, but they all were fine because we were in constant dialog with Luis.

He was extremely responsive during the entire process, great about adding his input and suggestions as needed, and very patient with us as we went back and forth on all the details. His crew were all very respectful of our property and questions, tidying up at the end of each work day. The final product is beautiful and exactly what we wanted for our growing family. No regrets going with Luis and will not hesitate to reach out to him when we want to start our next big landscaping project. Also a bonus that his estimate was much more reasonable than other companies we contacted.

He also left the job without finishing the job completely even after being paid in full. left us without a proper fan so now there is no exhaust fan in bathroom. ontop of it all he is a scammer who keeps $ that is not his!!!! lies and lies and lies . do not go with this company!

And when I mentioned he came back with a response of. We'll I did not charge you for baseboards. Well That was never told to us. It was not mentioned it was not part of scope of work. They left a month ago with caulking on tub ver sloppy. No sealant around a brand new toilet. An exhaust wifi fan promised that was part of scope of work was not ever put in. A $2 cover was put in and now we cannot use the fan because dirt and debris come in. I asked 3 times when he was coming back. I was ignored. We paid on time NOt once did he have to ask for payment. As a matter of fact gave him last check before he finished the work. After a week of him no showing. My husband who is deployed had to reach out. He told my husband that electrical nor baseboards were included in his scope of work which is wrong NOT once in the 3 weeks he and his people were there did he tell me not included. I paid him $ for labor for a small area of floor and for a door and Labor the hall floor ended up not matching the rest of the laminate floor. He owed us money but I guess his company is desperate for money he did not refund instead he used a lame excuse to not pay me back. Sadly he's a friends spouse .I recommend she NEVER refers him to anyone. Work is incomplete I now have to hire someone to come out. It was obvious they had other jobs and did not take pride in their work.

This review is long overdue, but necessary. My job was complete in Nov of 2023. New California…read moreRestoration handled my second-story addition, and overall, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. The project timeline was never followed, and it often felt like my job was not a priority. The owner, Victor, walked the site once--for less than a minute--and only showed up again after I raised concerns about the sloped flooring. Roggie, who was my main point of contact, did communicate, but often came across more like a salesman than a project manager. On the upside, Marcos and some of the crew were great, but that wasn't enough to make up for the disorganization and poor communication. The final straw was the failed final inspection due to a water heater not being up to code. I had specifically asked Roggie beforehand if this would be an issue, and he assured me it wouldn't since they moved it as part of the job. Yet, when it failed, I received an unexpected invoice for a water heater service call. I didn't pay it--and instead of reaching out to resolve it, they just left me with a hole in the ceiling and cut off communication entirely. This company lacks a functioning business office and any real project oversight. Communication was inconsistent at best and non-existent when it mattered most. Based on my experience, I would not recommend New California Restoration to anyone.

Victor was very helpful in assisting us where to purchase flooring, counter tops, and other supplies at a reasonable price. After all of the repairs were finished, Victor did a walk through with us making sure that we were satisfied with everything. We saw one issue dealing with the vent duct from the dryer. Victor was able to route the duct for easy access, while making it look very professional. Victor had a foreman by the name of Alex, he was very experienced and was there to assure everything was being kept on schedule. Thank you Victor, Alex, and the crew of New California restoration.
