They were our fourth concrete company that came for an estimate. The first was shady, the other two ghosted us and didn't send an actual estimate, so Dazcon was our choice. They were priced very right too. Our existing concrete was done during a flip and complete trash. We also wanted to extend the patio line and have the rest of the yard graded for turf. They answered the call right away, told me they'd get back to me with a date for an estimate. Danny's son came for the estimate and we got the quote the same evening. Work scheduled for the following week. Day 1: Showed up early and demo was started. Day 2: Showed up early and demo/grading/side form complete. Day 3: Rebars and concrete pour completed. Day 4: Forms removed I wish all contractors were as quick without sacrificing quality as they do. Danny and his team are stand up men. The issue was not the delays themselves -- it was the lack of transparency about what was actually happening. Instead of straightforward communication, I often received vague or roundabout answers, and when problems arose there was little accountability or clear explanation. Looking back, an early red flag should have been the urgency and pressure he put on me to sign a contract within a short time frame in order to receive a "reduced" price. Once he secured my business, his involvement dropped off substantially. He appeared more focused on pursuing new customers, leaving my project poorly managed and completed with work that did not match what was agreed upon. When I asked for direct updates, the response felt defensive and conversations often came across as condescending rather than collaborative. Even while the project was delayed, he attempted to sell me additional services in a way that felt pushy and unprofessional. Despite Eduardo Ranger's assurance that a moisture barrier would be installed on this and all retaining walls, this is proof that was not the case. Either Eduardo Rangel lied or he did not provide adequate QA of the work performed by his employees. In either case, this is grounds to not contract with Eduardo Rangel/RALCO Landscapes & Design. This further explains why RALCO Landscaping and Design started the job without approved permits and, despite saying the approved permits would be delivered prior to completion, has yet to do so. Eduardo Rangel is not to be trusted. Do not give him your business.

Eduardo came out twice to help us formulate a plan that worked with our initial ideas. The largest part of the job was installing 380sq ft of tile over existing concrete. I was so impressed with the prep and attention to detail the tile craftsman showed. Thanks to Eduardo's suggestion we purchased R-11 porcelain tile. It's made to have a non slip surface even when wet. They replaced most of our lawn with artificial turf. The installation is so good that I can't even see the seams and I know where they are. An existing wall was repaired and repainted. Finally river rock was put in all our flower beds and under the trees in our orchard area. The contract is written professionally. The payments are spread out as the work is completed. No surprises. We went only $500 over budget which we caused by adding some outdoor lighting that wasn't in the initial contract. We were kept informed about when the workers would be here and the approximate time each section would take. They actually finished under the estimated time. The attention to preparing each section was extraordinary.
