A&F Concrete did an excellent job installing a 20' sidewalk and a very nice 5x5 foot masonry wall…read more As instructed, San Diego Buff concrete was used for the sidewalk. I was given an excellent variety of bricks/blocks to choose for the wall, and the one I chose was competently installed. I was pleased to note the block I chose would be sourced from RCP in Chula Vista, where I have been a regular customer. The two workers agreed to relocate the existing pavers for my reuse as part of the original job. I really appreciated that. Although I was in no hurry, the job was completed quite expeditiously with the exception of the iron gate, the installation of which was subcontracted (and reviewed separately). The final results please me immensely. A&F solved a major problem, and I recommend the company to all.

Adam Fisher, the owner of the company, came to quote a patio and offered to take off our steps and…read morepour the concrete under them, something that multiple other contractors that came for quotes did not see necessary. In the process, Adam and team broke the stairs immediately, and reassembled them with screws sticking out and chunks broken remains used to "level" the remaining stairs (photos of all work attached.) While on site, Adam asked for "200-300$" outside of the scope of the signed contract for the same work that would have been done with or without the additional request. Through the phone exchanges and emails regarding these issues Adam was arrogant and dismissive, yet also took blame for the stairs and will not resolve the issue. Adam's team poured our concrete before a heavy rain, but failed to redirect a gutter (as it had originally been before construction) from pouring directly onto the concrete causing a water stain from the pooling water on the fresh concrete. Again, when confronted with this issue and asking for a resolution Adam denied blame and said "wait a year". As of 6/11/26 there has been no reply nor efforts made on behalf of this company to repair any personal property damage nor resurface the concrete stain/ finish the job as fully paid for. They also installed footing drain (French drain) on the back retaining wall, backfilled with the usual gravel, crushed stone and covered the outside of the walls with installed paneled stone veneer. They also did the initial former structure demolition, debris hauling and the requested earth moving and other necessary small retaining walls reassembly. It sounds like an easy simple job but, believe me, it got complicated quite soon. Along the construction way, I was able to interact with the crew and bounce ideas and corrections which were followed to my customer satisfaction, resulting in more than a very acceptable final product. When the inevitable, beyond his control, the one odd crew helper misbehavior occurred on the job, this contractor immediately corrected it, got on top of the problem and smoothly and quickly we had no more of an issue here. He also facilitated for me the customer to bring my own tile / stone wall-caps products and installer guys, which ended doing a beautiful job we're very proud of. Pricing fair, not inexpensive. Job done acceptable, with your own (the customer) continuous supervision and being able to stop working crew's irreparable mistakes before they happened, however, the final product came out well built and functional as we imagined and expected, we are grateful for that. Thanks again to Shafiaq and SK Concrete for accepting working on our small home project and for including us in their busy commercial and industrial schedule.

There were two spots where he said his crew could do the work, but said it would be really easy for me to do in a couple hours to save some money. Which I really appreciated him not up selling me. Then I received the bid the next day. After we went into contract his team showed up and started the work. It was started on Monday and pouring concrete on Saturday. They were great to work with and respected our house. What I especially appreciated was the care they took to ensure nothing around the house was damaged. This was a pleasant experience and I would recommend SK Concrete to anyone for their big or small project.

The yard looks amazing and has significantly enhanced the curb appeal of my home. It's truly a pleasure to pull up every day and appreciate the beautiful work that was done. I want to give a special thanks to Mike for his patience and professionalism throughout the entire process. He was incredibly understanding with both myself and the challenges presented by our HOA, which made things quite difficult at times. Matt also played a key role by keeping me well informed and providing valuable guidance on how everything would come together. Thanks to their excellent communication and expertise, the final project turned out even better than I had imagined. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality turf work. Their team truly delivers outstanding results.

Here is how it went down: 06-29-2026 09:58 AM Mike from Evo Turf came out to my house. He said he would send an estimate by the end of the day. 07-01-2026 06:57 AM I emailed and texted them, "Hello Mike. You stopped at my house a few days ago. I haven't seen an estimate come through yet. Did you email one? " 07-06-2026 08:52 AM I called the office and left a voice mail. 07-06-2026 9:16 AM I got a text: "Hey there! It's Mike from Evo Turf&Pavers. Sorry I missed your call. I'll get back to you ASAP!" 07-08-2026 10:08 AM I got a text: "Hi good morning. Sorry I'll be back in town tomorrow." 08-10-2026 08:18 PM A month later and I have heard nothing. I don't usually chase people to give them my money. So now I will start over, with someone new. I don't know if my job was too small for them, or they are too busy, or they are just incompetent and lack systems and follow up. None of it is an excuse for how I was treated, and the time that was wasted. Evo Turf needs to rename itself to "Never Turf". That would be much more accurate. Hey, "Ev-OH NO! Turf", save the apology, and the request for a phone call to explain things and make it right. You are fired. Get a CRM with a follow up system, make sure the manager is on top of the salespeople. If you can't use a basic CRM, fire everyone and start over. As a matter of fact, the owners should fire themselves. You should not be operating a business. A lemonade stand maybe, a proper business, no. If you want to write me a check for the time I wasted, at my hourly rate, I estimate $1,000 will cover it. You have my address.
