NIPSCO said that I needed an electrician to reattach the wire as it was not their responsibility to do such work. Enter Chris and Kurt - what a team! They work very well together and assessed my problem and gave me two estimates. They suggested to me that I go with option one and gave me a 1 year guarantee that if that didn't hold, they'd come back and provide option 2 and give me credit for what I already paid. Sikma did the plumbing on our brand new house. Within the year, I noticed leaking around my kitchen…read moresink. My husband opened the cabinets to have a look and due to (sikma says was faulty, I don't know) a faulty seal, the seal exploded and the seal and whatever else that flew out almost hit my husband in the face. It would have seriously injured him if it had. We immediately cleaned up the flood of water all over the hardwood floors and even down into our basement. We went out and bought big fans and a dehumidifier and sikma (I'm guessing because our builder called them, I've never been able to get anyone on the phone) came out the next day to fix it. They replaced the seal and drilled holes into my kick plate to place another dehumidifier. After that they came back to get their equipment then sent someone out to measure the kick plate to replace it. I haven't seen or heard from them since and that was almost two years ago. I have called numerous times, left messages and even sent them a messege on messenger, nothing. I still have holes in my kick plate and now two of my showers drip constantly. After we went out and spent hundreds of dollars on fans and dehumidifiers to save our floors so that Sikma wouldn't be on the hook to replace them, they can't even come back and replace a kick plate. I would not recommend unless you want a sub par plumber that won't come back and fix the mess that they made.

Poorly installed commercial HVAC unit caused extensive leaking and damage to my tenants…read moreestablishments. Van Drunen dispatched a representative to inspect the work, but he denied the existence of the problem. After trial and error, we were able to localize the leak to where the vent connects to the unit. I went on the roof and sealed it myself. Meanwhile, the unit ran out of freon just after the warranty expired and causing all my tenant's food to spoil. The service representative was almost tauntingly rude to me when explaining the issue. I contacted a semi-retired HVAC man from Lansing who advised that someone drilled a hole in the unit to leak the freon. Use this company at your own risk. There are so many much more dependable and professional companies in the NW Indiana/South Chicago area.
